The committee also said that it was interesting that the highest academic qualification of the nominee was a one-year “Diploma in Computer” from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Why in the hell should someone with an ordinary diploma in Computer be nominated for the position of the National Commissioner of the NCC? Even worse, he didn't bother to go for his credentials until nominated for the position. How can we be sure that he will be bothered about his job if he eventually scale through the screening? (God forbids!!!) Since he merely went to school for the knowledge, I think he'll do better if he continues with his private business, not the NCC. I honestly think the President is actually what some people are calling him |
There's nothing like trinity https://www.nairaland.com/3410580/how-many-beings-godhead#50238974 |
According to the trinity teaching, we are led to believe that there are 3 separate divine beings in the Godhead - The Father, Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. But what does the Bible teach us about this? Are there 2 or 3 beings in the Godhead? How many divine beings are in the Godhead, according to the scriptures? ... 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 ...'For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.' ... Clearly, the Bible says there are many 'gods' and 'lords' in the world, but only two divine beings in the Godhead. One God, the Father and Jesus Christ His Son. How many beings does the Bible say that we fellowship with? ... 1 John 1:3 ...'and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.' ... So our fellowship is with two beings. How many beings does the Bible say we need to know to have eternal life? ... John 17:3 ...'And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.' ... So to have eternal life we need to know two beings. The Father and His Son. How many beings do the apostles send greetings in the name of? ... Ephesians 1:2 ...'Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.' ... 2 John 1:3 ...'Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.' ... So the apostles sent greetings in the name of the Father and Son only. Two beings. How many beings does the Bible say we need to deny to be 'antichrist'? ... 1 John 2:22 ...'Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.' ... To be an 'antichrist', we need to deny two beings - The Father and His Son. How many beings did Jesus pray to while on earth according to the Bible? ... John 17:1 ...'These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee.' ... Jesus prayed to one being in heaven while He was on earth. How many divine beings according to the Bible can be hated? ... John 15:23 ...'He that hateth me hateth my Father also.' ... Only two divine beings can be hated according to Jesus. How many divine beings can reveal the Father and the Son according to the Bible? ... Luke 10:22 ...'All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.' ... So only two divine beings can reveal the Father and Son - The Father and Son themselves! How many divine beings are in heaven and will be on the new earth according to Revelation? ... Revelation 21:22-23 ...'And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.' ... Only two divine beings are in heaven and will be on the new earth according to Revelation.. Only two divine beings are in heaven and will be on the new earth according to Revelation (See also Revelation 7:10). How many Gods and Mediators do we have according to the Bible? ... 1 Timothy 2:5 ...'For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' ... So we have one God [the Father] and one Mediator [Jesus Christ], which makes two divine beings in the Godhead. How many divine beings does the Bible say we need to honor? ... John 5:23 ...'That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.' ... We honor two divine beings, the Father and Son. How many divine beings bare witness of Jesus Christ according to the Bible? ... John 8:18 ...'I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.' ... Only two divine beings bare witness of Christ, not three. How many divine beings does the Bible say created all things? ... Ephesians 3:9 ...'And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.' ... So according to the Bible, only two divine beings created all things - God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son. Yes, there is a Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of the Father and His Son. But the Bible is very clear on how many literal divine beings there are in the Godhead. Two, and two alone. Once you come to the truth regarding the Godhead, you start to grasp the beautiful and literal relationship the Father and Son have. Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God, being BORN from God (John 3:16; John 16:27-28; John 17:7-8; Romans 8:3). And once you grasp this, your understanding of God's love will take on a deeper meaning, and your relationship with the Father and Son will grow stronger, as you comprehend the vast love shown. http://www.end-times-prophecy.org/godhead-jesus-father.html |
While I don't want another PEJ in this administration, I believe we can not just wish away everything she said and pretend it's coming from a woman seeking attention and influence. I think the President has personal problem with his wife, because the Buhari I know is not capable of resisting a woman's influence ( majority of men are not capable of it). Let's be honest with ourselves. It's almost impossible to keep our women our of our businesses...completely. And if the President is not listening to his wife at all while allowing his nephew to control his government, this calls for concern. I want this government to succeed but it seems the President is surrounded by people who can't help him achieve the desired results. It's time he changed his company...people who believe in his course, not those who didn't even bother to register as voters. I like the President as a person and was damn sure that he would rule Nigeria again even before 2011 general election, but we should not deceive ourselves, if things continue like this, Nigeria will not remain in one piece before the end of his term in 2019 or 2023...but I don't think he can help it |
Why can't each state have equal allocation of candidates, at least, for once? Now the Senators want it as usual? I don't care if the process is stopped all together, but I believe PSC has been doing great so far. Now the Senators want to hijack the process. They should be ignored |
Berlynn:The word hell as used in the Bible does not refer to a place of torment. It simply means "the grave" |
APC has started down the road that is going to take it to dangerous places. At this time when the economic situation is getting critical by the day, in-fighting and struggle for supremacy and control is the last thing to do. People are already associating the prevailing economic situation with Buhari. How does the President intend to change this perception before 2019? If things continue this way and the party refuses to get its acts right, all Tinubu has to do is fold his arms and watch. People stumble on stone, not mountain |
Aje; ko gba, lon my ariwo Oja po. There can never be peace or any semblance of progress if we can't agree. To me, Nigeria is not qualified to be a Nation. If something to is not working for 100years, I think it's not out of place to do it the other way. I want to raise my Children in a sane society, among my own people, not Nigeria. ![]() |
For God so love the World, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is one of the most popular Bible verses, but many do not know the interpretation; If you don't believe in Jesus Christ, you shall "PERISH"; believe in Him and have everlasting life Please check what perishing means. How people would believe a merciful God would throw people into fire to burn forever baffles me. Don't get me wrong, sinners will burn in fire, but not forever. It will simply destroy them |
Those who know me, know that I have publicly announced my quitting partisan politics and those who will believe the purported story will believe anybody who tells him that his or her mother is not a woman. In other words, Baba is saying "if you think I'll be involved in beating a dead horse, you better brace yourself for some disappointments; PDP, clean up your mess" |

Last time I checked, life isn't any worse than it has been since 1999. So Mr. Mark, you're not qualified to ask us to judge if we're better off in the 16-year of PDP misrule than now. |
I can tell you that the name, Niger Delta Avengers, chosen by the criminal elements and economic terrorists bombing oil and gas installations in the state and their demands roundly expose their political, selfish, corrupt and destructive mission. “They are on their own, the good people of Niger Delta are not with them, we are in support of President Muhammadu Buhari and his government we want him to transform Niger Delta, what are these masquerading economic saboteurs avenging? ... “We are interested in the completion of the Lagos- Calabar Rail Project in the just signed 2016 budget, the EPZ project in Escravos, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State and other worthy projects, not bombing of pipelines |
Good, if implemented to the letter and avoid leakages. But then, we deserve to know the definition of "special interventions" in the real context of it. |
TonyeBarcanista:Queues have disappeared and price level remains constant. I'm not in support of any "half-done" palliative, like SURE-P buses. |
engineerboat:May be in your own part of Nigeria. We've been buying PMS at N220/litre before now ( Sometimes, I had to go to Ogbomoso from Ilorin to buy without having to sleep at Gas station), and now that subsidy has been removed, the product is available everywhere at N145. I don't know where you live, but transport fares in Abuja, Lagos and Ilorin haven't increased significantly. |
Since the announcement of the subsidy removal, everything has normalized. But I recommend a 40% increase in wages for public servants from levels 1-6. |
I support NDA stance on resource control. |
17. Mike adenuga’s Conoil controls and operates Six (6) oil blocs and exports about 500,000 barrels of crude oil daily. These 6 oil bloc worth $500 billion Dollars. |
No need to explain anything. We've been buying PMS at N140 and above for some times now. No big deal as long as the subtle removal of subsidy addresses the scarcity issue. |
What the FG has done, is to set the price ceiling for PMS. No need making any fuss about it. |
...this clearly doesn't affect me. The FG will not dialogue with saboteurs. I've come to realise that the ND will still be as backward - if not worse- given full resource control. |
SeverusSnape:Now the credit goes to Jonathan, but our sick Economy is Buhari's fault. Well done |
fiizznation:Fulani herdsmen are everywhere in Nigeria. The last time I was in the SE, I saw herdsmen there. And you wondering why your people would attach anyone without provocation? I can tell you that Fulani herdsmen don't need to be provoked before they attack. Once they come around with their herds and notice you're alone in your farm, they will most likely kill you before grazing on your farm or just let their herds graze your farm and expect you to watch. This subhumans we call nomadic herdsmen are cowards who take advantage of vulnerability. If you people continue to be in denial, those affected won't hesitate to send your brothers back to you, dead or alive. May be then, you'll understand how wrong you've been about the "demography of the SE and the grazing fields of Fulani herdsmen in southern Nigeria" ![]() |
What we are experiencing now is just a spill-over of the actions and otherwise of past administrations (at least, since the return to democracy). Only an economic illiterate, would blame our current situation on Buhari alone. The economy started nosediving during the last administration and we just hit the bottom (and hopefully rise again) I thought Okonjo-Iweala already warned us of an imminent trying times ahead, before they lost the election? Its a pity, Nigerians have short memories |
Amending laws to suit your selfish interest will still come back to haunt you. It will take at least a century for Nigeria to get it right without a violent revolution, but Nigerians are busy If the Legislature continues to work at cross-purpuse with the Executive and the aspirations of the masses, there is no hope. |
christopher123:It's not my opinion, it's a fact based on my interactions with people. Not many people bother to know what's in it for them before joining a fight. That's why I said, you can only speak for yourself |
christopher123:Speak for yourself. How hard is it for any Saraki buttlicker Senator to rent a few hundreds of his people to stage a protest? Knowing most Igbos- who are PDP members- hate Buhari and APC, and see Saraki's trial as a witch-hunt from APC-led FG, it's possible. I've been in the SE since the beginning of this year and I know the sentiments of an average Igbo PDP supporter towards Saraki's case. They're "Chukwudi" personified-if you know what I mean. |
christopher123:To say that Saraki's most ardent supporters on here are Igbos, leaves much to be desired. I wonder why you think those people are not Igbo when you have no prove they are not... I mean, not all Igbos look like an average Igbo. |
herbie27:Building industries to boost export is a long-run solution. Since we import mostly from China, this will help in the short-run while we work on improving export. Sticking with Dollar has not and will not stop goods dumping from China I hope you understand that? |
Jombojombo:From your posts, one doesn't need a seer to tell that you're hungry and frustrated. Or how do you want me explain your display of mumuness" if not that its hunger-induced? |
Jombojombo:Which major railway is not functional? The one Jonathan said he did or am I missing something? So it's impossible to make the existing railway functional, while building a standard gauge? Would you rather have them spend the #60billion to construct a new road in Kwara State than start the construction of a new railway from Lagos to Calabar, just because the existing ones are not "functional"? Even if Buhari is your enemy, you can still use him to achieve great things or do you think not being able to construct the new raiway will hurt him in any way? Try and be sensible for once ![]() I'll excuse you if you're not from the South-South |
