Homecoming Season 2

S1 stressed the hell out of me...slow burner overdrive... how's the S2?

Liposure:
THE MEETING (2014) 8.8/10
Fantastic movie all round. At first i was wondering if its nollywood i was watching. Rita dominic is three much. What more can i say.

This movie was very good and properly done...one of the new age nollywood movies I actually like.

Dr7Manhattan:
13 reasons why season 4 just dropped it's first official trailer
I command everyone to watch it when it airs June 15
...by order of the peaky blinders.

Why? S3 was terrible and made no sense going forward. This show could have comfortably ended with that stellar S1 but they just had to push their luck.

abduleez1:
You actually beat me to it. Just what I wanted to post few minutes ago.

But SnyderCut fans really suffer from other DC fans hand Sha oo. Them persevere no be small. All the memes and jokes we made about them, chai.

I need to tender apology to that subgroup Fandom. They are now the most useful subgroup within the Fandom. Bringing WB to it's knees and do the right thing accepting their fvck ups.

Make I sharpaly run go my group make I hear Victory shout.

Actually started like a Joke trend till Zack Snyder himself jumped on it and the stars of JL also pushed the trend and the core Zack Snyder DC fans were relentless, so WB had no choice than to cave and it will also be an opportunity for them to scratch some more money of the movie so is a win win...and let's see what JL would have been if that tragedy hadn't befell Zack Snyder's family.

Finally!

Karleb:
Bird of preys. 8.0/10

Margot Robbie did a good job. But the movie seems like a copy of Deadpool in a way.

Harley Quin broke up with Joker but in the Joker movie, Joker didn't have a girlfriend. That's unfair to Mr. J.

The movie clearly depicts this girl power thingy, I have no problem with that but if you are shooting a feminist movie shouldn't be villains also be girls?

and yet you still gave it 8/10....smh.

TemitopeAlways:
Can you keep a secret (2019)

9/10

Did they remake this movie? because there's no way in hell the one i know is anything close to a 9/10.

mekaprime:
House Of Flying Daggers(2004)...7/10
Language: Chinese
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama

From majestic visuals, to colours that infuses every scene with haunting beauty, & lastly, to the jaw dropping cinematography, this flick had it all, it all seemed as though i was seeing a sequel to Hero. Though it was nowhere near Hero.

Plot was ok & a lil bit twisty. Acting & dialogues were good. Music score, fight scenes, martial arts choreography and special effects were all on point. The brightly coloured costumes were a visual spectacle to behold.

All in all, it was captivating & truly a feast for the eyes.

Naa the film trick in this movie got be shooked that year bro....pesin fit just throw dagger from Abuja to kill pesin for Ikotun

PLEASE WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THIS MOVIE, THE KING OF BOYS, NIGERIA MOVIE

Bobbybob:
Good day y'all. What are your opinions on the series "what we do in the shadows"? I don't want to waste data.
Any other compelling new series pray tell.

it's very good but the brand of comedy does not appeal to everyone so my best bet see the trailer first,or better still get 1 episode and see if you like it. what you see is what you will get for the rest of the show. The S2 is currently one of the best thing on TV right now.

eldred15:
My question is why does Villanelle get to kill people and get away with it while others don't?

The show basically ends if she gets caught. she's the anchor at this point.

SperoQuest:
You still do not understand me at all.

Nobody is comparing killing eve to Westworld or dark.
They are different series.

Westworld talks about a story, an agenda.

Killing eve talks about individualism.

I don't what other ways to put it to you.

I understand you perfectly and the point is and which i stand on is that you don't need to be Albert Einstein to figure out "The Killing Eve" and any simpleton will get it within minutes of seeing it so you calling people who don't watch it "simple minds" and you referring to yourself as intelligent for grasping a show as basic and straightforward as Killing Eve was completely out of order.

DandeNummeruno:
Don't mind the poser. The Gangs of London he's trashing is considerably more mentally-stimulating than Killing Eve. That's the irony in his epistle.

If linear shows like Money Heist and Killing Eve are mentally-stimulating for him, non-linear shows like Dark, Legion, The OA and Westworld will probably be too much for his cerebrum to grasp.

As in bro... imagine him equating a show as straightforward as "Killing Eve" to having intelligence.

SperoQuest:
At the bolded.
If that's your understanding of the whole concept of killing eve, then I'm sorry you still don't understand what killing eve is all about.

Believe me when i tell you that killing eve reflects the study of most human behaviour in relation to Their true nature, love and loneliness as why they do what they do.

Perhaps maybe the way i see the show mentally and figuratively is different to the way you see it.

Eve is not just in love with vanielle.

She is the police and loved version of vanielle.

They both have the same demons but while ones demons is buried by love and care and people around.

The demon in the other is risen up by loneliness, hate and unloved life.

That is the reason for their connection because both Eve and Vanielle are both the same.

I can go on and on and on and school you about the concept of the series but you still wouldn't understand.

Tell me what you learnt about the last episode with venielle and her mom and brothers?

You can see what she has is hereditary and it's in her mom, brothers and even her young step brother.

This is why i said killing eve is not just about killing and mi5 or 6.

It's about understanding why some people behave the way they do.

Are their actions hereditary?
Do they feel neglected?

Is it something that happened In their childhood?
Etc

As you can tell from the convo between Vanielle and her mom on how she was neglected as a child.

Perhaps I'm watching the series from a psychologically and therapeutic point of view

You ain't watching anything from any angle..so i should have written all this epistle to prove to you i understand the show abi, i basically gave the premise of the show about the love/hate relationship between Eve and Vanielle which your long epistle has further help me to prove..if the "The Killing Eve" is giving you this much psychological spin then i wonder what will happen when you see more complex shows with enough Easter eggs to do your head in for about a year.

SperoQuest:
I see some people talking Shiits about killing eve.

Like i have come to understand that in life, some people will always have negative energy.

The killing eve is not just a series for small minds, you need to be highly intelligent to understand killing eve.

It's one of the best series I've ever seen in my life and this season 3 is superb mehnn.

I am enjoying every piece of it and i can't wait for a new episode by Monday.

So is the new penny dreadful City of Angels.

Killing eve and penny dreadful city of Angels are not your regular fight, fight, kill series like gangs of London.

They are like a noble prize novels that requires patience, insight and intelligence to understand.

People that watches too much Telemundo and Africa magic might call it boring but those of us that are novel and books enthusiastic, those of us that are lovers of slow paced series like the crown, Peaky blinders, tends to appreciate series like killing eve and penny dreadful city of Angels.

These series teaches us why some people act the way they do.
What is their purpose?
Are they being loved or they are out of love?

It requires phycology to understand killing eve.

I will advise, if you don't love killing eve and penny dreadful city of Angels, i will advice you don't bother continue because you will never understand it.

In the absence of Wentworth and while waiting for newer episodes of killing eve and penny dreadful city of Angels.

I decided to download Versailles and o boy!!!
Just two episodes and i am 100% hooked already.

My love for historical series is top notch.
The castles, the royalty, the costumes, the politics, the medieval settings, the plots and conversations gives me orgasm.

I will suggest you stick to gangs of London and movies like spider Man and the avengers if you can't deal with slow paced dramas.

Small mind indeed...so because you watch "Killing Eve" means you are enlightened abi? Variety is the spice of life, you can't police people for what they like and call them "small minds" if they don't like what you like. I myself find the tempo and drama of "Killing eve" pleasing but i usually wait for the season to complete to binge because seeing it one episode at a time can be frustratingly slow for a series which premise is a spy thriller and i think that's what drives must people away but it doesn't make anybody small minds and even a dons can grasp "The Killing Eve" from the very the first episode, what intelligence do you need to understand "a MI5 agent been in a love and hate relationship with an assassin she's chasing", if this require high intelligence to understand, one will probably need to be a supreme being to understand "Dark".

mekaprime:
Have you seen this movie Locke. If you haven't, do check it out, you'd definitely love it, it's you kinda movie.

The one with Tom Hardy? I have boss. Had the same premise as "The Guilty". Very fine piece drama. Thanks for always pushing the good stuff to me boss.

DriggityDre:
It's called horror for a reason, bruh. Dang, this your rating criteria just weak me.

The rating criteria what was i was going after, "Killing of the innocent in the a gory fashion" is the plot of thousands of movie before and even after "The Belko experiment"..and where they actually innocent? Was it not an experiment, what's it not killed or be killed, survival of the fittest? Isn't that how life and nature is?

Liposure:
i no but dis one is different

different how?

Liposure:
THE BELKO EXPERIMENT (2016) 1/10
For me, this has got to be one of the worst horrors, if not the worst, i ve ever seen. Cos i don't get taking innocent people lives in the name of one foolish experiment

is that not the plot of virtually all horror thriller movies?

mekaprime:
This is one sub-genre, i dare not binge watch it movies. The day i tried that, i couldn't sleep without having nightmares for a whole week, no amount of sitcom could help me, i was literally fvcked.

lol as of now i have giving up on the genre all together, when i saw the first installment of "Hellraiser" that year it tormented me for weeks. I prefer physiological thrillers now.

VerifiedStalin:
I understand, but you'd be better off calling it deep ambient music, relaxing music, or plainly, electronic music.

Lullaby is radically different to an ambient music.

That's why lullaby was used as a euphemism instead of using all the complex names you mentioned...We all know it's called all that but lullaby sticks the whole idea quickly and in a nut shell.

VerifiedStalin:
You love children's genre of music that much?

Not judging, it's just weird.

mekaprime:
Instrumental Music is the right word & not lullaby.

Though most Steven Jablonsky instrumental music appear as lullabies also. They soothe me & help me concentrate when reading, so heck yeah, i love his brand of music.

and let me chip in a little bit. Although lullaby is a genre of music that puts infants to sleep, me and mekaprime used lullaby as an euphemism to mean a soothing ambient music that puts you to sleep, or help clear your head as the case maybe which lullaby actually does to babies but we are not talking about "Twinkle twinkle little star" here.

xamuell:

mekaprime:
You Sire are a man of taste. I downloaded the lullaby immediately i finished seeing the movie.

As regards lullabies Steve Jablonsky really knowns his onions. I've got all his lullabies, from the Transformers franchise to Tears Of The Sun. My favourite of em' all is "Arrival" in Transformers.

The man is a gem particularly his scoring of "Transformers", "Autobots" and "Arrival to earth" are my personal fav.

Karleb:
I'm not saying Netflix is free.

It's easier to get clear videos from Netflix unlike cinema. I could easily make a recording of any movie off my phone or monitor.

Oh your post didn't imply that tho. and Producers are still making money from VOD streams like Netflix and it's their low budget movies that they did expect huge returns in the first place that are available now to stream..the bigger movies with bigger budget release dates are been pushed further pending when "coro" decides to take a bow.

Karleb:
Due lock down, latest movies are now available for free as soon as they are released on Netflix and they are also very clear.

I wonder how these producers will make money now.

Netflix is free now?

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). 5/10. This was actually going somewhere with the way the story was going but the they quickly lost the plot and the ending was so meh i mean why gas up a villain so much to have him die in the most ridiculous way ever?Margot Robbie nailed her role as Harley Quinn tho so the movie going pear shaped somewhat is down to the directing and writting. . Great colours tho, the rendering in 4k on a UHD tv will be so aesthetically glorious other than that nothing much else going on.

Deepwater Horizon(2016)....7.5/10
Genre:Action, Drama, History

A somewhat gripping emotional story, based on the BP oil rig that exploded and contaminated the Gulf of Mexico in 2015. Eleven men died instantly and 115 others rushed on to lifeboats.

In the course of 87 days Macondo wellhead, located around 5,000 feet beneath the ocean's surface, leaked over 130 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, making the spill the largest accidental ocean spill in history.

In July 2015, BP agreed to pay $18.7 billion in fines, the largest corporate settlement in United States history.

Great acting, all thanks to the impressive ensemble of cast, top notch visual effects with excellent soundtracks to go with. 107mins well spent.

superbly done movie i must say.. i actually followed the true story back then and this adaption made it somewhat clear.. you are right about the soundtrack... stellar i must say...The ending score "Home" is still one of my fav lullaby..

petux:
Something that will blow my mind.

blow your mind how? didn't you see the trailer? didn't you know the genre? I think the movie served it's purpose.

petux:
Extraction.

4/10.
Honestly the movie is so overrated. I downloaded it because of the way many of my freind keep talking about it. Alas, I was disappointed. Too many gunshot and bloodshed just to save one damn soul..

What exactly where you expecting?

Karleb:
