Just watched The BURIAL 2023 JAIMIE FOXX movie, nice movie. But one thing about them lawyer movies is no matter how it goes you can tell how it is going to end
You probably mean so say "Biopics", they are practically dead set to end one way but "Lawyer" movies that are not biopics, do have some twists.

We know that most tomato critic are on personal payroll. Secondly, after the Justice league saga, Zack has been a target. This is just cheap hate.

Well the audience score has been bouncing from 70% to as high as 80%, but from suspected bot accounts with 1 profile view.

I can't even think of a single thing ZS did to warrant any hate from the industry. Misunderstood should be the right term. He had never had it easy since BvS. Funny enough, he does decently on audiences score, it always the critic score that goes ape shaped. If "Rebel Moon" tanks, i fear it might be over for him.

Fast X and Ghosted are the only movies I saw in your list. I hated Fast X and deleted it instantly but I enjoyed Ghosted because of Adrien Brody. His accent killed me.

โ€œThis is my town. Nothing happens here that I donโ€™t see coming a mile away - Gunshot! Everything but that I guess! grin

Iโ€™m the best bounty hunter alive - Gunshots!

He meant second best. They call me the Leopard - Cracking!

But even Leopards get killed by Lions, Hyenas, Lightning.โ€ grin

I agree that the movie is average at best but I like it and Iโ€™m keeping it.
Ghosted been number 2 should tell you all you need to know from my perspective. I didn't see any redeeming quality in it.

You are lucky you didn't see the rest cry cry. Some major stinkers in there๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ. It's totally my fault for having an interest in so many movies across multiple genres. They could do a movie in Mongolian language and I'd be interested ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. I should change this stance soon, maybe i wouldn't see so many garbage thereafter.

My 2023 Top 10 Worst Flicks

2023 was supposed to be the year when Hollywood completely rebounded off the effects of the COVID pandemic slow down and we were supposed to be served some serious "heat" in terms of movies, but due to some unforseen circumstances, there were so many "gbร " movies, i had the displeasure of seeing, that i just had to make this list.

NB: This list is highly subjective as per my own personal view and the "worse" is highly contextualize. Some aren't "bad, bad", i just had high expectations and they were cruelly dashed.

10) Talk to Me (2023)

I was full of hope for this seeing that it was an A24 prod. With a not so fresh idea, the premise was actually good but the execution was terrible and they lost me, midway

9) The Flash (2023).
Worse time to be a superhero movie + clunky CGI + moot plot. The excessive fan service wasn't enough for it to warrant any kind of replay value. I saw it once and i never looked back.

8 Expend4bles (2023).
I saw the need for part 1, but how the hell the they stretch this to 2,3 and let alone 4??. They should retire the franchise and the actors too should hang it for good. A truly terrible motion picture.

7) Fast X (2023).
The allure of "Family" couldn't save this. Again another franchise that should be put out of service for good as this hasn't being a proper flick since Fast 5. I will be there for Fast 11 tho, can't let my man, Dom, go hungry ๐Ÿ˜.

6) Heart of Stone (2023).
Nothing much to say about this classic dumpster fire. It was just bad from, script to delivery. You want to do Mission Impossible on a budget and Gal Gadot is who you call? Funny enough, her pretty tax was the only little light about the flick so i will be seated for her next flick ๐Ÿ‘€.

5) 65 (2023). Adam driver is too talented for the kind of bottom barrel flicks he is involved in, i mean, he has had more misses than hits. If your expectations are low, than this was just another regular sci fi flick but annoyingly, my expectations were high af!

4) Freelance (2023). ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ...If you don't see John Cena in a "Peacemaker" costume, just run. terrible terrible film ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

3) Ghosted (2023). Post MCU Chris Evans is a sore for a fine sight ๐Ÿ˜ญ. This movie was totally crap. him and his co-lead Ana de Amas seemed as if they weren't on the same set, absolutely zero chemistry and a total epic fail of a flick.

2) Knights of Zodiac (2023). If you jam this flick anywhere, just run ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ. A near perfect 0/10 flick. Truly "remarkable".

1) Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). Superhero Fatigue aside. This movie was supposed to herald the next Avenger sequence and have like a "Thanos" like intro for the next MCU main villain but man it was a total misfire, the plot was haphazard, worse still the CGI was so cringe that i had to question if they were serious or i was seeing a parody. I was almost moved to tears, and people around me thought i was feeling the movie on another level not knowing it was my hard earned funds i had just wasted on this crap that had my eyes watery ๐Ÿ˜ญ. The absolute worst flick i saw in 2023.

I have a strong feeling if i have waited till next week at least to make this list, "The Marvel" would have made the cut. MCU serving burnt food with reckless abandon and they need to be stopped ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

Now whilst 2023 served up many stinkers, with some not even making this list, They were also some gems, and i do hope i am able to curate that list too.

But for now, on to 2024 and hoping there are more bangers than gbรก bottom barrel flicks that exist only to waste our time, data and hard earned funds...๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ‚

The execs at WB are not very smart.

Pushing Dune 2 to March 2024 and letting Aquaman 2 get the Christmas holiday release is a very idiotic move ngl.

The money Dune is going to make in March would have been much more if it was released for Christmas.

Aquaman 2 is a waste of space. That movie is doomed to underperform financially. Christmas season won't save it.
So I don't get why they are doing it any favours when they have a guaranteed big hitter in Dune 2.

WB never see handwriting on the wall.

Very dumb company.
The writers and actors strike forced their hand to shift the date..No?

The strike ended November 9 or so and Dune:Part 2 was scheduled for release on November 3rd, which meant they couldn't do any promotional stuff for the movie due to the strike, this would have hurt the B.O numbers more. March 2024 release date is fair, and it gives them time for all the promotional momentum the movie needs to excel and i am near certain it will do decent numbers.

RE: Aquaman 2. WB simply do not care about this movie and probably why it was allowed the Christmas holiday movie slot, if it was a "serious" movie, giving the circumstances, WB would have shifted it too. Given the Amber Heard hullabaloo already, given the choice, WB would have actually voted to skip any promotion for this movie to save PR. The movie is already "doomed" to fail, and WB just want to get it over with and fulfil any contractual agreements. I will be very surprised if the movie did any serious numbers, not necessarily because it will be a bad movie in itself, but because of "forces" beyond the movie's control.

Leave the World Behind (2023).

Big tease...Little punch!

With the effect of climate change already looming, the ill rewards of advancement in technologies such as A.I already showing and countries these days seemingly needing very little nudge to go to war further pushing this planet to near apocalyptic cataclysm, movies like this are going to be a regular.

The premise of this promised the aforementioned in the last paragraph and i was wagging my tongue in anticipation but alas i was "happy" for nothing. It had a fantastic cast to deliver the job at hand but it all went to waste.

The movie started with so much promise and it was chilly as it could be for an incoming "Armageddon" like, crumbling of this planet...Planes falling out of the skies, internet and cell services, totally gone, self driving cars causing mayhem, teeth falling out of mouth...i mean this had to be leading to some gigantic reveal right? Wrong!...All the finesse build up led nowhere than a silly pretentious ruse to rope you in to think the movie has some kind of bigger philosophical meaning but it's a dead end.

And to think the run time was a ridiculous 2hrs 21 mins!. In hindsight, nothing in this warranted such a long run time...A total waste of time.

4/10.

My all time fav Star Wars movie

Iโ€™d get on the shows next, whatโ€™s the chronological way to watch them or anyhow goes?
Although Andor came after Rogue one, chronologically, you were supposed to see Andor first before seeing it, and the 2 directly tie to each other, Andor is like a prequel to Rogue One.

But for the entire Star Wars Universe chronologically....the pic below might help.

"Killers of the Flower Moon" (2023).

mundane, gruelling, 3hrs slow burn with a nice payoff!

Martin Scorsese's big screen feature about the Osage county murders seeing him combine his already well know crime drama skills with Romance somewhat to tell in intricate details of the harrowing crimes by the "white men" looking to profit off the oil money by pretending to be friends with the Osage nation.

It might not be for everyone as it is brutally slow and the ridiculous run time of 3hrs + didn't help but the slow pace is deliberate and they needed all the time to piece together this incredibly intricate story and the pay off is worth it, but i personally fear for the replay value, i don't i can sit through another watch again.

The 3 leads were fantastic, LDC for best actor norm wouldn't bring no frown but Lily Gladstone! oh my God, she acted her socks off!. She kept a very bleak persona that added serene gloom to the narrative, hall of fame acting!.

Oppie slightly edges it in my opinion, but it is a top shelf motion picture.

7/10.

Don't know why but I am not connecting with this The BEAR series, I finished season 1 , downloaded the whole season 2 complete, watched 2 episodes of the 2 and deleted everything. But it has good reviews though
There is this hack with art and life in general. Literally the whole world might like a show or a movie and you wouldn't find it good, not that you lack good taste or anything, but there is nothing as subjective as our individual perceptions of art viz el viz movies and shows.

Personally, Someone that literally likes every movie or show that drops, is a huge red flag for me and i begin to question their taste.

That being said. "The Bear S2" is quite possibly the best show i saw this year ๐Ÿ˜Š

Knowing she's one of the top-billed cast/character, I expected to see her among the first 10. It's disrespectful placing her that low
It's most likely the Google algorithm at play here, they are maybe seeing it that her character aren't really central to the plot of Man of steel, BvS or JL so it would make sense to push her down but still disrespect regardless. The wiki pages of the movies has her higher up on the cast list.

Killers of the flower moon - 8/10
This long ass movie was fun to watch from beginning to end, it'ld have been a 10 if I wasn't going in with a lot of hype๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Comparing it to his other filmography, this movie isn't top 5 maybe 6. But I still had a lot of fun. It felt like the last scenes before the drama was just like Goodfellas๐Ÿ˜‚ like he just decided to recreate it. It's still a masterpiece of story telling and this could be one of the hardest scripts to re-create

Aftersun - 7.5/10
I don't even know what to say about this movie. I couldn't get my eyes of this movie but I didn't even understand it. If anyone had watched it here tell me what you think of it abeg
7.5 is a pretty high score for something you apparently didn't understand.

I think they are still trying to pitch it to a big distro but it is screening in small chunks across the world.

But Maann, The RT score is 100%! and popular movie review hub are speaking highly of it. It is certainly one to keep an eye out for.

Most likely the latter. The first part barely made sense, there was no need for a sequel for a character that is as unpopular as this.
