Marty Supreme......9.5/10

Top tier movie. Timothy Chalamet delivering one of the best acting performances from last year. I'd have probably given him the Oscar cos this was a really top notch all round performance from him.
The music score was pin point pretty good, the storytelling was wild with Marty getting into trouble from one point to another just to get his dream. Obstacles everywhere, one battle after another..... It just went on looking like this dude can't catch a break just right until the last few minutes.
Breathtaking storytelling. Probably the best film 2025 had to offer.

Timothy Chalamèt was so good in it, that's why the Oscar eluding him was so baffling considering the competition.

Well, he has time on his side, and i dare say, there isn't a more bankable actor in his age bracket currently 👍🏿

Invincible (2021) "Hurm" S4 EP 4.

"I'm not bowing to satan".

I almost didn't see this episode because of the "outrage" that lined up after it's release, but i am glad i ignored because it was a really really good episode.

Now as a Christian myself, i have seen far worst "perceived blasphemy" in media than what i saw here, i mean i have been a fan of "Family Guy" for years, and they literally have a "god" character on there, Seth MacFarlane has done unspeakable things with that character that will make any Christian's stomach churn, but not me, never me, because i understood the context and nothing like that could shake my faith.

Even in comics, DC's Etrigan from literal "Hell", in some iterations, fights alongside the good guys, and is portrayed as a "good demon", so these type of things aren't really new, and if you know your faith, it shouldn't bother you.

There are many meaningless "filler episodes" in earlier seasons that almost made me abandon the show altogether, but this was such a good "filler episode", might not drive the plotline of the entire season, further that much, but it was good and i enjoyed it. For the people review bombing the episode, i fear they might have even missed the most sublimal message of the episode, which was, After the 'satan hype" and all that rubbish, when push finally came to shove...Mark bluntly said, "Uh, I'm not bowing to satan!" 😩 and perhaps that should be the take home message...📍

AOT S3 E16 "Perfect Game".

My Soldiers rage!!....My Soldiers Scream.!!

Got to this episode in my rewatch, and i was left in total awe of how impactful Commander Erwin's speech was!! 😩. He was telling them, to charge to almost certain death, as the Beast Titan was hauling rocks their way with reckless abandon!...Some had doubts, but speech so good, they buckled under 5 secs. What a guy !...What a leader!!. I had to switch my Audio stream from Japanese to English and back, so nothing get lost in translation. There are many profound speeches in this show, but this is up there with the very best, on par with "Optimus Prime's Take the battle, to them speech" in Transformers: Dark of the moon (2011).

I soldier on, but special special episode 🥶✨

Not gonna lie, Sony absolutely cooked with this one, and I'm very sure every NBA and even non-NBA lovers would enjoy this animated movie. Stephen Curry as a voice actor and part of the production team made it even better.

What also made it better is the style of animation, the well-written story, the choice of music and soundtrack, and the crazy, immersive visuals and shot angles (bro, you need to see the stadiums!)

Man, I've watched a lot of animated movies, and this one immediately floats to my top 5 list! The director, the actors and the producers of this movie are the GOATs and I really, really, really recommend it! It is SICK!!!

"A literal Goat" wanting to be the "GOAT" of Basketball? Mann if that is the plot line, then that is such a sick...sick...idea fgsss😩...too prestine!!.

The animation will be seeing me soonest then 👍🏿

Bruhhh...I was on a Vid Call with some Brazilian folks one time, and out of nowhere, everything on my end, went pitch black, there was an intense panic as they genuinely feared for my safety, and then there was me, scrabbling to quickly get a torchlight, to at least illuminate my face for a bit, and they ask why everything went black like that, and my reply was "They took the light" 😩, They couldn't even fathom the concept, till after a few Google searches 🥲😭...

Bruhh, i genuinely don't want to use that term to describe here, but this godforsaken spit of dirtbag hellhole, keeps giving me reasons to, each and everyday... uncanny to say the least 😔

lol oh i get your POV 😂, and for the record, I don't even watch movies, as religiously as i used to, but that's by the by.

When i had less "Adulting" to do, i did follow a very regimented pattern or time table somewhat, where i firmly incorporate all my indulgences, football watching, movies, music, books, in a way that ensures, each of them get an ample amount of my time monthly 👀.

But i have since lost form, switched to full Adulting coupled with the stress of living in this hell hole!, so i just see movies passively these days, read the occasional one or 2 books that catches my fancy, and keep it moving 😔👍🏿

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've filled my ebooks shelf with many great books without even making a dent up to even 1% over the years.

This is where hard print books ebooks or audibles one million and one ways.
I find it easier to consume and pull through a book with hard cover no matter the difficulty if I really got into it, compared to ebooks.

😂😂😂 Yeah, that title is a head turner.

I understand the appeal of a hard copy over Ebooks but i also know, first hand the difficulty and bottlenecks involved in getting a hard copy, especially here, when i could easily get the Ebook literally in seconds, so i have trained myself to consume both, and enjoyed them for their distinct appeal.

For a film franchise that was so successful and still a tad popular till this day, i am still struggling to see the point of this reboot, if they are just gonna do almost 100%, the exact same thing the film did? Like what actually is the point of this series? or maybe i am having a "reboot fatigue" as not many remake has landed successfully in recent times. The first four films were extremely done, so if they had rebooted the later films, then that would have made a whole lot of sense to me.

Well, there are media that i am genuinely excited about, coming out this year, and this ain't one of them... clapping for you guys, excited about it from the sidelines tho.

That BG score bangs tho, so it seems Hans Zimmer has cooked, if for anything, i am excited for that 👍🏿.

In the og spiderman movies we saw Peter behind on his rent, his aunt may frustrated with being broke, so they have shown poverty and struggle. Even if my poverty is not living in a village poverty.

Problem is you need to do your product placement. And the best person for this is the lead actor.

Maybe a more imaginative director would have used a broke but still working phone with all the screen lines

Again, this is nitpicking to me, and such a minute detail to notice for people who don't have nothing to complain about.

There are other forms of media to demand this kind of realism and this isn't one of it, if they choose not to.

It's not just in the MCU, Hollywood in general don't know how to portray intense poverty especially during the romcom boom and actors couldn't be bothered nowadays to get out of their comfort zone to portray characters in abject poverty. Gone are the days of Halle Berry who didn't bathe for ten days to accurately portray a crack addict in jungle fever or Robert De Niro who literally worked 12-hour shifts driving a taxi in New York City for taxi driver

lool i get that the world is sliding into unfathomable levels of capitalism, but this is such a weird thing to nitpick about. If i am looking for realism about how bad poverty is, i wouldn't be looking for it, in a made up fantasy superhero flick...just saying 😩😩

Kudos to y'all that read books on phone. I just can't. I prefer paper, the turning of the next page and all.

Mann...I basically just do both these days, and for good reasons. There is a palpable difficulty in getting some books in hard print, either due to living in this hell hole, or the book has stopped been published, so the best option is Ebook.

And our reading culture has never been more in the gutters now, than it has ever been, so much so, if you are seeing with a book in a public space, you might be tagged as an "oversabi nerd" 😩. Sterling Bank sent me a limited edition copy of "Damilare Kuku's "Only Big BumBum Matters Tomorrow", and i already had the Ebook, whipped out the hard print one-time to read on a public commute and folks were looking at funny, so i eventually just resulted to reading the hard print indoors, and the Ebook outside till i finished it 😩🫣.

But, nothing..... nothing beats "Hard Print" mannn, there is this woody scent that books has, nothing beats that 📖

I was supposed to go see "Project Hail Mary" (2026) this past weekend but dipped, as i have started the book some weeks prior, and it's my current read, and i have only just got to the really really good part, so seeing the movie now, would totally ruin the book experience for me 😩😩, and i would really like to finish it.

Btw, If you really can get into it, i dare say, Books are such a unique form of art, the imaginations and possibilities are endless, they go deeper where, their corresponding movie/series adaptation would only scratch....👍🏿

Invincible (2021) S4 (EP 1 - EP3)

"The boy kept me alive - Conquest"

Episode opened with a beautiful montage with Nothing but thieves's "If i get high" playing in the background and it setup beautifully what was to come....

I always hated the running gimmick on "Superheroes fandom", that they weren't supposed to murd the bad guys, for some kinda sentimental and moral appeal, like if you don't, they just keep finding ways to comeback and do more damage 😩😩....Mark has crossed that moral greyline and I'd like to think, if for the best, if he remotely stands a chance against them Viltrumites.

Speaking about the Viltrumites, After the Scourge virus decimated their population, these Mfs were really trying to take over the entire galaxy, with a total population count of about "50"??.....maaann, What an impeccable race...crazy and tyrannical, but just impeccable 😩😩.

And Oliver that because he shares the same DNA with Mark, he can take down the "Big boys" without experience?? 🥲😂..... first big boy fight, dem nack am, Mr. Liu, that one wey dey crase😩😩....fight never start well, Oliver don dey call for backup 😂.

There is a way, the title cards, always reveal the major theme for the season, and S4 has been drapped in White so far, with a hint of black and grey, so i think, this season will have a lot to do with the Viltrumites alot....

We have a pristine season on our hands i reckon 👍🏿
