You seem to relish in this old ,now stale propaganda. 1) In 1967, the Yorubas were part of Nigeria. 2) Awolowo was just released from Prison. He was not a military officer or a war Lord and didn't have any Army, neither was he holding any Political post...just a respected Leader. So how could he singularly decided whether to go to war or remain neutral? 3) The problem with your suggestion of Yorubas seceeding looks like you assume you can dictate for them on what to do or not with Nigeria. 4) Why the fixation on Yoruba's secession? There are so many ethnic groups in Nigeria. Why do you think Biafra's successful secession will depend on the secession of the Yorubas from Nigeria? Why don't you insist that the Urhobos, Ijaws, Efik, Ibibio seceed from Nigeria since they have resources to sustain themselves? Why don't you advocate that Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, Yobe and Borno should seceed from Nigeria since they have huge landmass and large populations? It will be far easier for Biafran successful secession if the N/West and the N/East can seceed from Nigeria. These are the zones that you need to encourage most to seceed. selemempe: in 1967 the igbo leadership asked the west to remain neutral...the west accepted...and announced their neutrality at first and then awolowo was made vp and promised presidency and boom he joined the war on the federal side. if you guys are so confident of ur wealth as a region on its own then the normal thing would be to leave this union. but seems u knw u cant really be on ur own. isnt it? |

1) Feel free to believe what you want to. 2) Abuja, Kano and Kaduna are not Geo-political zones but just three cities. 3) Please name the Geo-political zone that's most developed in Nigeria with verifiable indices. 4) Lagos, Like all other parts of Nigeria belong to all Nigerians. 5) All parts of Nigeria were independent before Colonialism and will be so if Nigerians decide to dissolve the country. 6) The Yorubas know what's best for them and you aren't wiser than the Yoruba Nation. If any part of the federation feel they want to leave the country, I think we should give room for such secession with National consesus. 7) Anywhere you find man in this Country, God had already given it what it takes to exist and flourish. Their human and natural resources need not be identical. #No part of the Country is a burden to Nigeria. selemempe: mr...3 other buildings were already called skyscraper b4 cocoa house was built...2 of them were in subsaharn africa...so wats ur point again?
the north with abuja, kano and kaduna is by far the most developed part of nigeria. the only city the west has is lagos and it currently tops most negative city indices. however i repeat my call on the west to seek their own independence if u are confident u can go it alone. the igbos will support u whole heartedly. till then, lagos belongs to those living in it...including non yorubas and is therefore not a yoruba built city |

1) The definitions of skyscrapers varies with time, especially as building Technology advance. 2) At the start of construction in the 1950s, Cocoa House was designed to be the tallest building in Africa. However, the Marborogh building which was finished in 1959 in Cairo became the tallest and when Cocoa House was commissioned in 1964, it became the tallest in Sub-Saharan Africa. (Egypt is not part of Sub-Saharan Africa). There were other tall buildings, even in Nigeria by 1964 but they didn't meet the prevailing definition of sky scrappers at the time. 3) Please, tell the whole World, which Geo-political zone is the most developed in Nigeria. Thanks. selemempe: south africa is sub saharan african too...u know that right? So why do u guys like petty lies? Wat cocoa house was...is that it was the tallest building in africa in 1965...b4 then there were 3 skyscapers in south africa and one in cairo....by 1966 it lost to schelisinger building in jbourg. |

Yorubas were part of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, so on which side would they have been? The Biafran Civil war wasn't a Yoruba Vs Igbo inter-tribal war. There were several tribes involved in both Nigeria and Biafra, not a tribal war against igbos. If you think you need other Nigerians to achieve Biafra, you wouldn't have supported Kanu/IPOB in their propaganda of 'Jubrin from Sudan' and insulting /preaching hatred against the Yorubas. selemempe: it seems it is. The last 2 times the biafra issue came up, yorubas teamed up with the north to supress igbos. |

In the years of semi independence and immediately after independence before oil became the mainstream of Nigerian economy, the S/West was (and still) the most developed part of Nigeria. 1) 1955- The Western Region started universal Maternal &Child Health care in Nigeria. 2) 1955- The Western Region pioneered Free Universal Primary Education in Nigeria. 3) The first Modern Stadium , Liberty Stadium, Ibadan was constructed by the Western Regional Government. 4) Western Nigeria House , London (now Nigerian High Commission) was bought and developed. 5) 1959- The First Television Station in Africa, Western Nigeria Television Services, Ibadan was established. 6) 1964,the first Skyscraper in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Cocoa House, Ibadan was finished and commissioned by Chief SL Akintola, the Premier of Western Nigeria. 7) The Western Region was paying the highest Salaries &wages in Nigeria. overall90: you dey mind them. all these tales are planted in the media for a purpose. check any time there is a serious national issue calling the exitense of one Nigeria into question, that is when you start seeing all these rubish. they did it when the avengers were blowing up pipe lines, you start seeing fabricated tales about Lagos oil,now nobody is talking about lagos oil again. during the height of IPOB agitation, this same nonsense about IGR was all over the place but when recession came calling,we know the people that whole world was donating food and relief materials to. and now with the issue of RUGA threatening the corporate existence of this shit whole ,they have started againg with IGR. but we know that all these are borne out of fear from people who know that the day Nigeria breaks up will be the beginning of doom for them. |

Although I used to be less enthusiastic about Busola's story until I personally watched her interview, Busola is being misunderstood by many people.
1) Busola in her original words never mentioned the word 'rape' .It was Chude , the interviewer who first used the word 'rape'
2) Busola said she came into Devine Delight Club which later metamorphosed to COZA in 1999 NOT that the 'rape' happened immediately but after she left secondary School. It's possible that the 'rape' happened in 2002 when Busola most likely had reached the age of consent but had to emphasized that she was very young then so as to elicit greater sympathy. |

Where do you get this your Taboo from? In most traditional African cultures, there is nothing like 'Splinterhood' . Ladies get married as soon as they mature. Before 1960, it was very difficult to see a lady that's not married and living alone. You were expected as a lady to move from your parents' house to your husband's house with no intermediate living as a single lady. #Women married as virgins then because THEY MARRIED EARLY! This present system of going to secondary School, then University, then NYSC and look for jobs and then work for 3 years (when a lady will already clock 27-30years) before thinking of marriage is a recent and artificial arrangements. My mummy married my father at 21years and she was already a teacher by then, by 30years, she had given birth to four healthy kids (all of whom are doing well now). GraGra247: Your ascertion is simply because she's married to an aged billionaire. In African culture it's an unwritten taboo for a supposed 20 years old girl to marry a great grandfather of 62.
If the aged man was very poor and of little worth I'm very sure there would've been a social media outcry for authorities to go an rescue the "little girl". |

Are you her father or where did her biological father told you that? She said she was born on Oct 10,2000 and married in April,2019. She was well over 18years. She has passed the marriagable age. It's her life, we can't decide for her sir. GraGra247: Regina Daniels biological dad confirmed Regina Daniels was still 17 years when Ned Nwoko married her. Ned Nwoko is 62 years FYI.
And if you don't see anything wrong with a 59 year old grandfather marrying a 20 year old girl, you won’t see anything wrong with a 50 year old man marrying a 10 year old girl.
Cos if you subtract 10 years from both their ages, that's about the ridiculous result you get. |

Northerns know the difference between Igbos and Yorubas (ask those who were alive in 1966-67). However, they may not know the difference between Igbo and Efik, Idoma, Ijaw, Ekpeye, Ogoni etc. It's the same way most Igbos don't know difference between Fulani,Hausa, Chamba, Kanuri, Kare-Kare,Bolawa, Barbur or Zuru. This is not related to the topic, however if they want to conduct a referendum, they can go ahead to conduct it. There is no need to wait for the approval of the Zoo or cooperation of Jubrin from Sudan. gbengaolaniyi: GBENGA WROTE:
My fellow country men, I think it is high time we stop underestimating.this man Kanu, it is crystal clear that he (Kanu) controls the entire East except we want to live in denial, we should understand the implications of neglecting southeast position.
However, I do not think a referendum is too much a request from the igbos at this critical time, so, I advice the federal government to call the various agitating groups to a round table talk, and if they insist on leaving Nigeria so be it, there is no need politicking with people's lives.without a recourse to its after effect.but to think Nnamdi Kanu is not a leader but those by chance politicians is like playing with the truth.
Mr kanu's balls must be the size of a water tank, his authority is reaching high heavens, he does not mince words nor speak in parables, his words are as plain as the day and their meanings lay bare for everyone to grasp.

She will see what other 21 year old ladies in her class and around her are doing and will feel 'caged'. She will be doing things like single girls which will break the marriage. I don't think she consulted many experienced married people and lawyer's before going to the Social media for that interview. There are many loopholes in her story. I also think she did the interview to massage her husband's bruised ego and bitterness towards Fatoyinbo for enjoying what he ought to enjoy and still have the gut to be forming 'successful pastor' upandan. SSAwhistleblowe: If that was the case then she wasn’t smart about it ... did she forget Fatoyinbo’s baby girl’s age, which he had after years of waiting for the fruit of the womb would count against her... if she indeed twisted facts to achieve her aim then she wasn’t smart... I also noticed how her husband has been silent since holes started getting punched into her story... her hunter may eventually become the hunted and she may be the one to eventually apologize to Fatoyinbo ... that is what happens when you don’t do things smartly or think things through before acting. |

And the fact that a person did not resist, does not mean she gave consent. She may have been paralysed with fear, or shock could have rendered her immobile. That was why I asked you to read up on the psychological effects of rape, on the human mind. Kindly do so. Maybe this will explain it better.
As for the age of legal consent in Ilorin, kindly direct that question to lawyers who practice in that jurisdiction. They might have a better answer for you.... |

Do you think Lawyers are stupid? If they want to get your age, all they need to do is to investigate your life properly and not to look at just an affidavit of birth. The time of Fatoyinbo's wedding, the school his daughter started schooling with age and other important life events can corroborate her age. sparko1: If they can proof that why do you think they will come online in the first place when the case is already in court, there are lot of people with affidavit of birth, don't be fouled anything can happen, that is not a proof of any kind its just a way of testing their theory in the eye of the public to know how acceptable it will be in court. |

I don't think she forgot anything. 1) I strongly think she first had sex with Fatoyinbo in 1999 but thereafter became his girlfriend and they continued to have sex till when he got married and had a baby in 2002. 2) Busola most likely twisted the story to fit into a case of 'rape' by moulding several amorous and sexual espades together OR The events actually happened in 2002 but she backdated it in order to nail the pastor of Statutory rape if 'her lack of consent' can't be proved. SSAwhistleblowe: Not supporting Fatoyinbo but Busola said the second rape happened days after the first one like within the same week...pls watch the video again...
KEMI may not be alright but the issues she has raised about the year of the rape and Busola’s age as well as when she went to babysit Biodun’s baby are conflicting considering Biodun’s daughter’s age.
I know Busola would not be foolish to make wrong accusations but some of the details are contradictory and she may have mixed up some details because it happened a long time ago.
But then she really should have gotten her facts right before making the accusation...
Busola’s age issue and the baby’s issue are strong areas that Fatoyinbo’s lawyers could capitalise on to scuttle facts in court... it’s a grave error on her part |

Ilorin was a province of the Old Oyo Empire and thus the Alaafin was the king of all the territories in the Empire and Afonja was a provincial Governor and a War Lord of the Empire before things fell apart and Afonja sought alliance with the FULANI intinerant cleric, sheik Salihu (alias Alimi) to seceed from the Empire. Yujin: I don't want to appear like a fulani advocate but your insincerity is making me appear so. How come a centre of such in those days will have no ruler over her? I don't think so. You carefully avoided the mentioning of Afonja despite his notorious story. Alimi was similar to Fodio in that he was a clergy in an area under the control of another but he eventually usurped the throne. Don't rewrite history. One of the places the British encountered a commendable military organization during the military conquest of Nigeria was in Illorin and they were under a fulani emir. It's on record. The British had to use a better tactic to subdue the charging cavalry of Ilorin which was hitherto destined for Oshogbo after their first attempt failed. Don't come here to change history. The emir at Ilorin pointed to Sokoto as his superior that's why the British kept is so. I agree with you that the only two ways to get it back is either through conquest (Which I think isn't feasible) or political concession(most likely but for a more better deal). Lol |

Hausaland is at least hundreds of Kilometers away from Lokoja. All the surrounding towns/villages around Lokoja are NOT owned by Hausas, so how did Hausas own Lokoja? In between Lokojo and Hausaland, there are several Villages/Towns and States belonging to several non-Hausa indigenous peoples like, Nupe, Gbagyi, Wushishi, Berom, Anaguta,Angas, Gwarri etc, so how did Hausas jumped over all these tribes to land in Lokoja and own the town? Lord Lugard deposed several Hausa emirs and banished them with their supporters to Lokoja. The fact that British colonized Nigeria and you can find places , including a State capital named in English Language (Port Harcourt) doesn't mean the British own Nigeria. mamdanju: Lokoja belongs to the Hausas and the Nipes. The Falele name you are talking about means Rock in hausa. Other streets such as kabawa was dominated by fishermen from Kebbi, Madabo was street of the scholars. There is another Madabo in kano,. Unguwan yashi means sand street in hausa. Pati is mountain in Nupe. The Paramount ruler of Lokoja is a hausa man addressed as the Maigari (owner) of Lokoja.
