1) What's Southern Presidency? How does rotational presidency helps a developing Country like Nigeria to attain her full potentials? 2) Jonathan was NOT toppled, he lost an election. 3) ANY Nigerian can be president in 2023. What I hate is to arrogate to yourself the authority to declare which zone will produce or which zone will not produce a President. 4) Any Nigerian that can solve Nigeria's problem should aspire and contest for the Presidency. It will deepen our democratic culture and make a bold statement that regardless of your ethnic or Religious backgrounds, you can be anything in Nigeria. I myself will contest for the Presidency in not too distant future. It's bladderdash! ZombiePUNISHER: If you so much want a southern presidency... Why did you gang up with the North to topple SS second term..
Yes I forgot.. Jona was corrupt and insecurity was everywhere... But what do we have now... WORSE Efcc is just a tool to fight the opposition Danjuma stole and is worth billions of dollars ... Did you hear the news
Anyway... Where I'm from.. We speak with one voice We go all in.. There is no south East or South south citizen who is against North retaining the presidency..
Do you know why? Because rather the presidency moving to the the south west... Let it remain Up north.. They should continue to rule us forever...

What Kanu is asking for is similar to what Boko Haram is asking for. Boko Haram are asking for Borno, Yobe and eight other Northern States to be given to them to create an Islamic Country based on the Sharia Legal system and have taken arms to actualize this demand (they aren't exploring the referendum option) kingzizzy: Of course Kanu and IPOB are not free. Freedom is when you can choose where you want to be. If Kanu and his people are not free to choose if the want to be in Nigeria or not, then they are not free

It is possible to get referendum without being involved in the politics of the country. Referendum is something that is conducted on the order of the national assembly. |

The old Eastern Region was an administrative area consisting of many tribes created by the British colonial Masters in the same way Nigeria was created. When did Kanu seek their consent to determine that they want a referendum? Who gave Kanu the mandate to ask for referendum? Do the Governors and Houses of Assemblies of these States ask for referendum or Kanu and his group have greater legitimacy than their States' Governments? kingzizzy: Of course Kanu and IPOB are not free. Freedom is when you can choose where you want to be. If Kanu and his people are not free to choose if the want to be in Nigeria or not, then they are not free

Most likely he didn't actually wed the 'wife' legally. I strongly think he started cohabiting with his Baby mama after he couldn't get a suitable 'wife' material, hence the audacity of the ex-BF to be trying to stage a comeback. Realist5: You are a liar. As at January 15, this year, one of your topics stated that you wanted a relationship that will lead to marriage. Igbos abandoned their properties all over Nigeria, on the eve of the Civil war and moved to Biafra. Prof Chinua Achebe, a key figure in the Biafran Government in his book 'There was a Country' gave a detailed account of how he drove from Lagos to the East passing through many towns/villages without anyone molesting him. Please quote any credible source that shows that Igbos were massacred in Western. The massacres you are referring to happened in NORTHERN Nigeria and started months before the declaration of Biafra. oalandAgents2: So Igbos all just abandoned their properties in Lagos and Western Nigeria because they wanted to gift them to the natives? Allow the man to try his luck. In 2007, a political low weight Ikedi Ohakim contested for the Governorship of Imo State on the platform of the relatively obscure party ,PPA and won the election because of a complex power play in the PDP. The supreme Court affirmed Ararume (whom his party never wanted) as the authentic candidate of the PDP as against Engr Charles Ugwu. The party however withdrew from the election and told all their supporters to vote for Ohakim. .. ZombiePUNISHER: My Yoruba Muslim friend

Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB should tax their members and conduct the referendum without waiting for the zoo or Jubrin from Sudan to do it for them. superlightning: Nnamdi Kanu is a clan prince who graduated from London Metropolitan University. He studied Political Economics.
With the disaffection he gradually developed for the Nigerian Political system and his desire for a better standard of life for eastern Nigeria, he initially moved for the restoration of the defunct regional system of government via MASSOB. This was before 2012, he later opted for biafra unconditionally.
But on seeing the impossibility of the goal partly due to MASSOB leader's (uwazurike's) compromise on the eventual reality of Biafra, and also, the lack of respect for the rule of law towards national equity by Nigerian politicians, he gave up lobbying through Nigeria's politicians.
Then came the formation of IPOB, a registered freedom fighting movement in over 30 countries worldwide and Radio Biafra, the tool he used in propagating the biafran cause.
He didn't force an IPOB establishment... The members naturally followed him. Kanu is bold, assertive, informed and charismatic, these leadership qualities made it easy for him to win followers.
He was arrested and jailed for "hate speech", yet the real agents of division are still out there killing maiming and raping Nigerians.
All he asks for at the moment is a REFERENDUM to conducted to know those wants to remain in Nigeria or opt for biafra. Is that a crime?
He has warned against the herdsmen attack, that was why he instituted a vilgilante group. But lo, dubious Nigerians claim he wants to cause mayhem. Now everyone is weeping with 'style'. Good morning.
I want a United and equitable Nigeria, but what I want does not exist. So, my sweetheart now is biafra and I pray for the day it comes. |

Sir, your lenghtly story hasn't answered the question. If Biafra has a capacity to be far better than Nigeria, why hasn't Biafran States developed Portal water for her citizens, Efficient sewage and refuse disposal systems for her Biafran citizens? What's the poverty rates in the SE compared to SS and SW? What are the GDPs of the SE States? What are the budgets of the SE States? What's the Human Development Index (HDI) of the S/East ? kotv: There's already a stack difference between Igboland and Nigeria. After Biafra war, the entire SE and SSb Igbo areas were destroyed, not one single building was left standing due to repeated bombing the Egyptians did for Nigerians. Despite extensive marginalization and even 10 pounds to each individual in Biafra, less than 50 years after the war, both SS and SE Igbo areas are completely rebuilt with no assistance from anybody. You dare compare that to Nigeria?
Even at that, when Nigerians needed to "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria." Nigeria pathetically went to the same Aba products used to mock to "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria."
Nigeria is over a 100 years old yet Nigerian cities despite never experiencing wars is lacking in any ounce of development. I mean leaders actually believe building roads is an act of development. That's how backwards Nigeria is.
Nigeria is over a 100 years yet Nigeria barely manufacture anything. The government shamelessly had to go to go to the same Biafrans that started all over from scratch to sell "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria." I mean the government actually rejoiced that Nigeria started making Nigeria's own pencil approximately 3 years ago if I remember correctly. Again that's how backwards Nigeria is. You dare compare that to people who are already manufacturing things?
Nigeria is over a 100 years old and the level of growth is equivalent to countries currently at war.
Nigeria is over a 100 years old and Nigeria is currently ranked as one of the worst countries on everything considering the negative indexes Nigeria are ranked in.
And you dare think you can compare SE that actually grew in 50 years without help with Nigeria that's twice their age with multiple assistance from every Western nation, UN, EU, etc.
I think Igbos would have done better if they weren't part of Nigeria. I'm not sure about everybody but Igbos, Ijaws, and every group would have been better off without Nigeria. |

This post doesnt answer the question and it is irrelevant to the question; 'If Biafran has the capacity to be far better than Nigeria, why is it that there is no Superb public water, refuse and sewage systems in the territories of Biafra'? If Biafra is going to be an Utopian State, by now we ought to be seeing the Stark differences in terms of development between the SE and the rest of Nigeria. PDJT: -The fundamental question is: Why are you Nigerians desperate to have Biafrans and indeed Igbos as your “fellow citizens” in Nigeria? Is it because Oyibo commanded you lots to do so? Or due to your affectionate love for Igbos? I no do, na by force in your village?
-Nigeria has already collapsed. What you’re witnessing now with Fulani jihadists and Boko Haram is a fight for the tattered soul of Nigeria.

Today the development of the SS is better than the SE. 1) The SS States have higher GDP, Budgets and lower poverty rates than the SE. 2) Just compare P/Harcourt, Benin city, Uyo or Calabar to Awka, Enugu or Owerri. kingzizzy: Well that made things much worse for them because now they are dominated by 3 groups instead of one. But Igbos are in charge of Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo States since 1999 and nothing much has achieved there. kingzizzy: It's not mineral resources that makes a country great. Nigeria has all the mineral resources you can think about, Oil, Gas, Coal, Gold, Lime stone, Bauxite, and many more. Yet Nigeria is not great.
Some countries like Japan, South Korea, Switzerland dont have anything but all 3 countries are amongst the 15 richest countries in the world. What made them rich? It is called human resources
The amount of electronics Japan and South Korea make and sell in a month, Nigeria cannot make if they sell Oil for a whole year and thats just electronics. I'm not even going into cars, planes or even agriculture.
The reason I believe that Biafra would have been succrssful had it succeeded is thst the Igbos are a very resourceful and resilient people. Igbos would have looked beyond Oil and at its human potential and produced great things that the world can appreciate. The reason Nigeria cannot progress is because they can never see beyond Oil.
Igbos are successful people, all they need to be great is their own separate country where they can run their affairs as nothing great ever comes out of Nigeria |

You don't seem to get it. In Nigeria, Hausa-Fulani is being checkmated by Igbos and Yorubas while Igbo /Hausa are counterbalanced by Yorubas through getting the minorities to their sides. In Biafra, Igbos alone will make up about 60% of the population and no single tribe can challenge them. If Biafra had succeed, by now Ekoi, Annang, Ikweres, Etche, Ijaw may have been assimilated into the emerging Igbo Nation. kingzizzy: So what you are saying is that the minorities dreaded being dominated by Igbos in Biafra but had no problems being dominated by Igbos/Yorubas/Hausa-Fulani in Nigeria?
That's laughable |
