You keep parambulating without establishing a prima facie case against Buhari. What exactly are we dealing with? Has Buhari committed any crime or a misdemeanor? 1) Is it a case of forgery of a WAEC certificate by Buhari, which is a criminal case? 2) Do you think Buhari lied under oath by swearing an affidavit that is false, an equally grave allegation punishable by law? 3) Is it that Buhari is not educated and ineligible to contest for an election? What exactly is the bone of contention? The PDP and its wailers need to be specific on what they feel is wrong which can be challenged by legal means instead of throwing tantrums all over the cyber space. Your present crying on Nairaland will not yield anything,so save yourself the headache and file a suit in court to stop Buhari from contesting. This is the most appropriate and civilized thing to do, not abusing people online or drawing unrelated cases into the matter. Every case should and will be determined on its merits (not what happen elsewhere or in another case). escodotman: No matter how much you try hard to prove your god's educational background, by even trying to make the law his alibi, it still doesn't change the fact that a publich office holder is not a private citizen. Your statement on going to challenge a public office holder's credentials in court is nonsense. If it were an opposition's educational background that is generating much controversy like Buhari's, zombies wouldn't mind setting the country on fire. Buhari didn't ask Nigerians, including his zombies, to go to court to check if Kemi Adeosun's NYSC's certificate was fake or not before sacking her. APC didn't ask Nigerians and the zombies to go to court to ''scrutinize'' if Adebayo Shittu was eligible to contest Oyo state governorship primary because he DID NOT SUBMIT NYSC CERTIFICATE before he was prevented from contesting after he bought the form (remember, just as buhari didn't submit WAEC certificate). It is a known fact that there are companies in Nigeria who still double-check the credentials that their employees submitted by contacting their varoius institutions. I guess in the eyes of zombies, the rules that apply to Nigerians do not apply to Buhari! Asking people to go to cour, so that the courts would ask WAEC if Buhari actually had certificate is hilarious! Calling people who want the law and due process to be respected ''wailers'' and ''IPOBians'' wouldn't change anything. |

Nice Satire, you write well. . TheDevilIsALai: BMC to join NLC strike over minimum wage call.
"30k is not enough in this Buhari govt " - LamidiCownu
Members of the Buhari Media Center are set for a showdown with their handlers demanding for an upward review in their monthly take home pay. Speaking with this reporter on strict confidence and anonymity, deomelo expressed his frustration in not realising his ambitious dreams of finally settling down to what he thought was initially a dream job. The atmosphere at the Utako office of the BMC was near deserted apart from a handful of online shills loitering around, discussing in hush tones about the non-payment of their salaries for the month of October. After successfully bribing LamidiCownu to give this reporter a tour of the once vibrant complex, where Omenka's portrait greets one as you enter what is called the Main Lab, LamidiCownu will reminisce on how vibrant BMC office used to be just a couple months back. LamidiCownu will later blame the floating of BSO as one of the reasons BMC was neglected coupled with the fact that some shills were engaging in online betting and Internet love scams at the detriment of the serious challenges of selling Buhari to the public.
LamidiCownu however said there was still hope for BMC as the President himself had asked that all media outfits for the Buhari campaign to be collapsed into one body. It is from here that the likes of LamidiCownu hopes to see a harmonised pay wage commiserate to that of the Ab0kis in BSO.
"Do you know that Yarimo earns 500k weekly " he rhetorically asked this reporter. "And they still think we should be happy with 30k?". LamidiCownu will later explain how he had to settle himself in Abuja from his home town Osogbo and how difficult it was. He said that the only last resort they had was to join the NLC strike for increased minimum wage or else they will down tools.
This reporter will be visiting BMC for a 4 part article that will be published at www.troll.com. |

The problem with people like you is that you attach too much emotions and less of logic to your arguments. You don't read the constitution but you assume that your opinions must be equal to the law Section 131 of the Constitution is crystal clear on who is eligible to contest for an election. The interpretation clause in section 138 further clear all forms of ambiguity. The electoral act even enjoin anyone who feels the information a prospective candidate supply in his forms is false to challenge it in court. If the PDP and the wailers think they have any case, the most appropriate thing is to challenge the eligibility of Buhari to contest and not cyber or media blackmail. The Law is an ass, the law at times may not necessarily agree with our opinions, expectations, preferences or wishes but the law is the law. Buhari with a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from an American military university (The US War College) is adequately qualify to run for an election. Calling people that separate personal hatred and prejudices from rational debates zombies don't and won't change the law. escodotman: Read all those things you put up there again. You are trying to twist facts or trying be clever by half! You said General Buhari was not a public office holder then but you forgot to mention that he was aspiring to be one, and had even became a candidate of a political party! Are you saying they should have allowed General Buhari to win the elction first and become a public office holder before they could scrutinize his acclaimed credential? What kind of twisted argument is that? Again, you said FOI is only inding on Nigerian institutions, is WAEC Nigeria not domiciled in Nigeria, on Nigerian territory and bound by Nigerian LAWS and as such not a Nigerian institution? You said since General Buhari didn't submit any certificate, FOI wouldn't come into play, what is wrong with Nigerians?? So all Nigerians who want to get into higher institution or get a job can just submit an affidavit and tell their prospective employers that their certificate is somewhere else even if they are lying and possess no certificate at all, and the claim shouldn't be probed or scrutinize because they didn't submit their any certificate all?? How did Nigeria get here? You argument that the constitution says a person must be educated up to a certain level, now, how do we know such a person is actually educated if he/she has no prove, which is a CERTIFICATE? Your argument is typical of zombies who all always try to twist obvious facts to cover up their incompetent god. Zombies should know that you can't approach the courts for everything, else it would be tantamount to abuse of judicial process! |

They are all wired to be Igbophobic by default, so why should we think about what they think about our demand? We simply state and push for our demands. It's simple as that. Adada, Aba, Etiti, Njaba, etc states, will all have more valuable human resources than the entire Zamfara and Gombe combined. How about that? |

There is elements of truth in it. what we now call Yoruba people for instance is a fusion of ancient aboriginal peoples living in Southwest Nigeria +the invading Oduduwa group +Bini people+Some Nupe +Some Fon people. They have now coalesced into a great ethnic group, The YORUBA people. Similarly, the Igbo people is a fusion of Igala +Bini+ Efik+ Ijaw etc pazienza: At the bold, I hope you know this twisted logic can also be used against us.
Nigerians can say that all ethnic groups in Nigeria have been interacting with each other over centuries and that with time, all groups in Nigeria will merge as one. Hence, there is no need for Biafra.
Infact, some Hausa Fulanis like Mohammed Haruna are already pushing this logic as basis for Nigerian unity not being negotiable. |

But why can't we have a Nigerian Culture/Music that will be a mosaic of Fulani, Hausa,Igbo, Edo, Nupe,Yoruba, Igala etc? The English music industry/culture is a mix of Anglo-Saxon, Roman, Vikings, Norman, Celtic and French culture. InyinyaAgbaOku: The avoidance of Igbo made them not to know Ifunanya was a bomb and the hit track for one of the albums. Who would believe they would wear isiagu in their lives till that 'nobody ugly ' song. Even Black face from Benue was able to sing 'Erinma '. Timaya could sing 'Ogologo mma agha ', all before 2008 and they aren't even Igbos.
In all we do, let's not forget to thank Nigger Raw, Slow Dogg, Dekumzy, Flavour, even Desperate Chicks . They are the ones who did the dirty jobs and risked their business fortunes to introduce Igbo to the world via pop music when Igbo pop music wasn't a thing. Now, Phyno and Zoro have a smooth ground to play around . Not forgetting Illbliss and Wizboy. Today, anyone can actually sing in Igbo and it will oversell if well marketed . In fada fada, Olamide sang some lines in Igbo too. It was never like that. The one that shot himself in the foot is Humblesmith who allowed his good song to be trashed by Davido with his childish antics and lyrics. The song became irrelevant after the Momodu saga ended. I warned against that.
But if you ask me to give that lifetime achievement award of Igbo contemporary music , I will be confused. Flavour is unopposed for the singing part. He has stopped being vulgar too. Wonderful combination. For rap, it will be a tie between Mr Raw and Phyno. Raw introduced it and made us know it's possible, but Phyno is so smooth in flow that it became popular. I also don't like that Phyno doesn't rap as such again. Or maybe I am not current . Zoro has richer rap lyrics than Phyno these days... Igbo music has come a long way.

Did you read my post very well before you replied? Read it again, this time slowly and digest it. 1) Gen Buhari was NOT a public office holder in 2014-2015 when you said 'Move for Nigeria' requested for a verification of his WAEC results 2) Freedom of information act is a Nigerian law binding on Nigerians and Nigerian institutions but not without limitations. a) WAEC is not a Nigerian institution b) FOI act will only come into this issue IF Buhari had submitted the certificate to INEC, which you as a citizen or 'Move for Nigeria' can request for to scrutinize it but you can't rely on the FOI act to request from WAEC to furnish you details about a certificate that was never submitted to any Nigerian institution. 3) In the Minister's case, a fake NYSC exemption certificate was submitted to the Government to enable her get an appointment and as such ,you can go to Government office to request for it but you can't ask for certain private details about her which aren't directly related to Government ,for instance asking her school to furnish you about her grades or source of the money she used to pay for tuition fees. 4) Section 131 of the construction is clear on eligibility for an election. The constitution require that a prospective candidate be educated up to at least school certificate level or its equivalents. The interpretation clause in Section 138 explicitly states the meaning of 'Its equivalents' which include being able to read and write in English and working in any Government office for up to 10 years. There is no mention of WAEC certificate in the constitution or even the affidavit sworn to by Buhari. The spokesman of the PDP campaign organization in 2015, FFK brought the issue of WAEC certificate into the matter. 5) If the PDP , the wailers, IPOBians and others feel that Buhari is not educated up to School certificate level or that he lied in the affidavit he sworn to, stating that his CREDENTIALS (not exactly the same thing as WAEC certificate) are with the Military Board, they can approach the courts which can determine whether Buhari indeed attended a Secondary school and many Military institutions he claimed to attend. . escodotman: You are wrong again. Go and find out about FOI ACT (Freedom of Information) which became a law during Jonathan's administration. Once you are a public office holder, your life, past and present also becomes a public property, you are no longer a private citizen! This is to ensure the people elect leaders with integrity and also check if the credentials presented by an elected leader or a political office appointee is genuine or not. It was because of this FOI act SERAP wrote to the NYSC to demand the status of the former minister of finace which should have been her personal property, why, because she was a political office holder! It was on this same premise of FOI Act that Civil Society Organisations wrote to the presidency to demand for the amount Buhari spent for his medical trip. This same FOI Act enabled PREMIUM TIME newspaper uncover the fact that the minister of communication didn't undergo NYSC. There are many other examples, just to prove to you that once you become a public office holder, you are no longer entitled to your privacy. |

1) In 2014-2015 when this issue came up,which you said 'Move for Nigeria' wrote to WAEC demanding for verification or replicate of Buhari's Sch cert result, Buhari was a private citizen and NOT yet the President. 2) Scrutiny of the conducts and lives of an office holder doesn't abrogate the rules of law, regulations and organizational policies of corporate international bodies like WAEC. If Buhari had applied to study or seek for employment in an institution called 'Move for Nigeria', then they have a locus standi to write to WAEC for a verification of his results but they can't wake up from the wrong side of the bed (after good sales at Alaba or Onitsha markets and drenching themselves in cheap orijin or Sapele water) then write to WAEC demanding for copies of Buhari's certificate. You or 'Move for Nigeria' can't write to WAEC to demand for verification of your Governor's or LG Chairman's results because they are holding public offices. ONLY the courts have such powers. Buhari may be a bad man and you can hate Buhari for whatever reasons but this may not necessarily affect the position of the laws. escodotman: Go and be enlightened. They lack the locus standing to make such request. The closest they can do is to sue Buhari and get a court to order WAEC to appear in court as a respondent in the suit and display Buhari's certificate as an evidence. escodotman: Is your 'education' not a waste with this kind of senselss trash you put up? Before and after the invasion, there were several individual Civil servants (like Prince Solomon Akenzua ,Philip Asiodu and some super perm secs) and military officers from the Mid-West that were in support of the Federal side and there were many individuals (Nzeogwu, Achuzua etc) that were in support of Biafra but the majority were still neutral as at 1967 before the invasion. Invasion of their homeland triggered an uncommon sense of patriotism and the need to join the Federal side to evict the invaders...Whether the invaders had a noble or ignoble intention is a different kettle of fish. pazienza: By motives, you meant his appointment of an Anioma man as the temporary administor of the region, rather than an Edo or Edoid man, right?
By the war, there was nothing neutral about Mid West. Mid-west delegates came to Aburi accord as part of the Nigerian contingent. Enahoro was key part of Gowon cabinet and Akenzua featured prominently too. Nigerian Army recruited many Mid-westerners for the amphibious attack of Biafra via Ph. Ejoor was with Gowon all through, which was why Ojukwu had to replace him.
Mid-west neutrality is a myth that can never stand the scrutiny of facts. |
Politics › Re: . by oyatz(m): 2:51pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
That suspicion wasn't about Midwest Igbo's participation (a Mid-West Igbo was already the first Premier of the Region) but against Ojukwu's motives. This served as an impetus for majority of the peoples of the Mid-West and Western Regions to rally round and supported the Federal side.Prior to the invasion, they were neutral. With that invasion, the international communities started seeing the Biafra struggles as 'bands of militants/rebels' who wanted to overthrow the Government of Nigeria If Ojukwu had driven out the Federal forces from Biafra and manned the borders effectively to ward off possible attacks from the Federal forces, many international powers would have sided Biafra or remain neutral. basilo101: So what's your point? The problems isn't much of 'the other peoples' but largely within. The States won't develop to their maximum potentials in as much as they still laregely depend on 'Federal allocations' from the Abuja. How can Kwara, Ekiti, Anambra,Abia, Benue or Zamfara run their 2019-2023 budgets if there is no more Federal allocations? These are the pertinent questions that Nazi Nnamdi KANU and IPOB don't bother to answer. Xander85: We find ourselves stuck in this present rut, not for want of imaginative and pragmatic suggestions on how to move the region forward, but because of the mediocre and visionless leaders we have governing our states who appear to be incapable of thinking outside the box and bringing said ideas to fruition!
But this is just half of the problem; the other half has to do with being part of an unwieldy and fractured political-economy that foists medieval-minded, semi-illiterates on everyone else in the name of 'one Nigeria'! This wouldn't have been much of an issue if it wasn't for the fact that said undesirables have us in their sights....they're on a mission to marginalise, cheat and hold Ndigbo down while they and their regions try to steal an unmerited advantage over us! |
Politics › Re: . by oyatz(m): 11:48am On Nov 02, 2018 |
You are replying from a fixed mindset which makes it difficult for you to view things from other (and equally valid) perspectives. It was difficult for the Midwesterners to accept that the 'President of Biafra', Gen Ojukwu appointed a Governor over them after Biafrans forces have invaded their State and sacked their Government. In a similar way, it was difficult for Ukpabi Asika, whom Gen Gowon had appointed to function as the Administrator of East Central State in Enugu, rather he was 'ruling' from Lagos, then moved to P/Harcourt towards the end of the war before finally moving to Enugu. Till today, many igbos hate Ukpabi Asika for accepting the appointment. pazienza: How can Biafra be said to invade Mid-west, when mid-west was part and parcel of Nigeria that invaded Biafra by providing Nigerian Army with fresh soldiers via mass recruitment?
How could Ojukwu have appointed an Igbo man over them? Are you now saying that the Anioma man Albert Okonkwo who was made the administrator of the new country isn't qualified to rule his region? Remember that another Anioma son, Dennis Osadebey was a democratic elected premier of the Midwestern region, before Ironsi overthrew him and foisted the Urhobo man Ejoor on the region, why didn't the Edos and Edoid cry over removal of Osadebey? What right do they have to cry over removal of Ejoor and re instatement of an Anioma man as the administor of the region, when we all know that without Nzeogwu madness, An Anioma son would have still become the leader of the region? Also, it's funny how we are told that there are no Igbos outside SE when it fits your narratives and same time, quickly told that Anioma and other Igboids are Igbos when doing so helps your Igbophobic agenda. Really interesting. |
