the kind of tribal/religious politics we play in this our country is something else.even if he had performed well he is still likely to lose cos kogi state is a multi tribal/ethnic state and the major tribe will never support Bello's tribe when it comes to election.

What INEC did is wrong and not democratic. They can subvert democratic institutions if it is allowed.

I have read their rule about declaring results inconclusive based on votes cancelled versus vote differences. But, if you look at that rule, which is not part of the INEC, it means INEC can manipulate the results they don’t want.

If their favorite candidate is losing, all they just need to do is, cancel enough votes until it is above the vote difference, now their guy have a second chance at the Apple again.

INEC is putting themselves as both the Judge and the Prosecutor here....normally, when you cancel votes, those voters have the right to appeal the INEC decision and a Judge will adjudicate on the issue.

chief same thing happened in my State, kogi back in 2015 and it was in favor of ApC even with a bigger margin than this.but the thing was inconclusive.they had to go for another one the following week before a winner was declared.

The really sad thing about this is the fact that some gullible people will fall for it. There are only 3 countries in the world with a GPD of over 4 trillion dollars and they are U.S, China and Japan. So Nigeria with a GDP of 4 trillion will make it the 4th largest economy in the world. Is this something he's planning to do within 4 years, grow the economy by over 1000%? This man is so myopic in his comparison of Disney to Nigeria that it's not even funny. Disney is a multinational company with multiple streams of income, they own Disney world and theme parks in the U.S, Paris, China, Hong Kong, and Japan. They make blockbuster movies like Star wars, Black Panther, Toy Story, Pirates of the Carribean etc. They own multiple TV stations like ESPN, ABC, etc. They also make video games. This guy is a joke and i can only hope that people don't fall for this.

Today's election in Osun is a clear indication that Nigerians are tired of APC and wants out .

I do hope when Benue election comes ppl will still use d no. of salaries owed as criteria sha.cos Benue is worst off than osun in terms of salaries not bn paid and u can't compared infrastructural developments in osun with Benue and am sure both of them took d loan to better the life of ppl in d state.
What I don't understand is why they r still unable to pay salaries comfortably despite the bail out fund and paris refund.even Benue got another 14 billion naira from d Paris refund ds week.I honestly do hope they too will be able to offset some of the salaries they r owing.

There can't be more Christians than Muslims among the ministers cos every state has one minister. The minister from most of the 19 northern states are Muslims plus a few from the south west.
Because it is clearly spelt out in the constitution that every state must have a minister, Buhari had to appoint from all the southern states. If not for that provision, I can bet you that South East wouldn't have had more than 3.
In all other appointments where Federal Character principle should have been applied, Buhari chose to murder the principle simply because he doesn't trust Southerners especially Igbos. How can someone as paranoid as him rule a multi ethnic country like Nigeria? Okay, he appointed his Northern brothers into all security positions apart from Navy (16 positions in all) choosing to ignore federal character in the process, yet Nigeria has become far more insecure than anytime in the past. Isn't it obvious that his brothers he trusts aren't effective in securing the nation? So why shouldn't he try and appoint Southerners in some of the positions and see if there will be a change.
If Buhari cannot trust Igbos and can't be fair in dealing with them among other Nigerians, why is he killing them when they cry for secession? Isn't that bullying?

I disagree with ur first paragraph.all the ministers from those 19 states r not.Benue, plateau, kogi, almost all d south west except Oyo and Lagos r xtain.
Then still back to those other appointments I mentioned earlier that it favoured the south.alot of it
I believe they r are still kinda balance but the President made a mistake making it so.it should have been 50/50% for all sectors ,security inclusive

Isn't that an evidence that they have all failed? If you've been doing something and it has been failing for 3 years, shouldn't you try something new?

Buhari is the first president to appoint INEC Chairman from his geopolitical zone. How do we expect the election to be free and fair?
