gypsey: But it's not the Teacher's Job to clean Vomits, If her parents Knew that their child is sick Why take her to school? The Teacher is there to teach Not change nappies or clean Vomit. I would throw the child out through the window if that was me.
To all the goons hating on and insulting the teacher, Try teaching children for one week let's see if your dumb opinions Doesn't Change.
If it was your child you wouldn't do shit, If you are not going to like the way your children are treated at school, Let them stay at home with you, Teach them your bloody self. You need your head checked. It's called childcare for a purpose. That Child is barley 3years old and so should be cleaned after. Parents pay more because of that. What could she possibly teach that little girl if not to feed, clean and and keep her happy till her parents pick her up. This Nigeria has messed up your heads you guys don't reason like humans anymore. You really need to get your head checked. |

@jukeblam I honestly regret changing to my English name. Most of my colleagues have very difficult foreign names which I learn to pronounce why shouldn't they learn mine I've already made that mistake that's why I insisted my daughter will bear her native name and it's so long but they should learn to pronounce it and funny enough they pronounce it so well. |

kylexy61: It will depend on a lot of factors and your personal preferences. I live in Canada, so everything I know about Australia is what I've read on the internet or heard from friends and a family member who is an Aussie PR.
The most obvious difference between the two is the weather. Canadian winters are very harsh, unforgiving and will keep you indoors for almost half a year. I do love the snow though. Australia, enjoys lovely, warm summers and hot sunny beaches almost all year-round.
It appears salaries/income levels is Australia is higher than Canada. But the cost of living is generally also higher. So maybe they balance out?
Canada has a much more African presence. There are many more Nigerians/Africans in Canada than Australia, which helps a lot in making you settle down quickly and feel at home. Canadians are also more accustomed to seeing blacks and other immigrants than Aussies. Consequently, there is less discrimination.
Just go for whichever suits you best. If you are choosing between Australia and Canada, you can't really make a wrong choice here. I am yet to see any sort of discrimination in Australia. |

bellong: Your child cannot be maltreated. Every registered childcare centre has the duty of care to provide quality and 'non-discriminatory' care for all children using the early education framework. In situation where you suspect negligence or discrimination, you will be within your rights to take it up with the centre and appropriate authority. True! She enjoys going to school as she meets children to play with. @Bellong the Centrelink issue actually has nothing to do with the govt. Just personal issues. |

At mcslize I actually applied to over 100 jobs before I got the casual one and attended lots of interviews. |

extraterestrial thanks for bringing the thread alive with your experience.
I remember how I followed this thread when I was on my migration journey. It's really unfair we ain't giving back. Kudos to Bellong I don't know how he does it.
I had to deactivate my old moniker for personal reasons.
My experience has been crazy!! I came in as a single mum with my 2years old daughter and just $3,200. I couldn't get more if I stayed back so took a step of faith. You can imagine!!
I knew just one nairalander and one other guy I met in an Aussie group. I stayed in a shared apartment for two weeks and paid $220 P/W. With the help of the Aussie group guy I got an apartment I pay $250 P/W .
I didn't find a job until after a month then I got a casual job.
I had to pay and still paying for my baby's childcare out of pocket about 510$per week. Paid 585$ the first week. still sorting out Centrelink for personal reasons.
It was tough for me. very very tough. The experience broke me. I've never had it this tough all my life. But the experience taught me a great deal of lessons.. And brought lots of beautiful souls and helpers my way and ugly and terrible people as well who love to take advantage.
Going for interviews was a challenge because I didn't have who to help watch my baby. At some point people get tired of being bothered so it was frustrating.
So I stopped applying and wanted to get my centrelink sorted out first but the bills ain't waiting.
My casual job ended and the only job I applied for on LinkedIn after I got the casual job because I couldn't afford to waste a working day going for interviews else I won't be able to afford my baby's care fee and my rent that week asked me to do some psychometric assessment, then a phone interview and I was invited for an office interview and viola God gave me a permanent job. In a company that is number one in that field in the world.
Most times I see people ask how will a family of this cope.? How much do we need? And lots of stuffs honestly if I could survive you can as well. Honestly this journey is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
I don't wish my experience for my worst enemy. But I'm glad it ended with a testimony. |

Married two years ago to a narcissist.
I saw all the red flags but felt he would change. How ignorant of me.
Any regrets?? No. I walked out that same year didn't want to live a life of regrets. Had to tell myself the truth.
Advice: 1.Never marry a man that doesn't respect ANYBODY. Even his parents.
2.How he treats others is how he'll treat you eventually. 3. Read about Narcissism. Lots of people are narcissist. Never end up with them. |

AquilaOvum: Thanks to you all that ekes out your time to attend to the inquires of the prospective Australia immigrants.
I'm a nursing student of one of the state universities in Nigeria. I have a plan of migrating to Australia after graduation. I have gone through many threads here about Australia immigration and I must say that I have gained a lot.
I decided that immediately after graduation, I will talk to a medical director of a private hospital to give me an employment letter and also to be paying a specific amount of money to my account as an employee for two years.
In those two years, I will be running my internship program and also NYSC which I THINK can't stand as years of experience.
This is just the plan of a naive fellow.
Will this be possible, I need your opinions. Thanks. I think you need to to a course in Australia as a nurse to be qualified to migrate as a nurse. It's not as straight forward as other skills. |

A friend of mine might be schizophrenic. She's always talking and smiling to herself, feels everyone is against her and always wallowing in self pity. She dropped of out school because of this. Now goes from one church to the other. She spends her whole day watching movies and TV shows while life passes her by. Most of us her friends are married, working and doing very well but it doesn't make her push herself.
I don't know how to help her. She's holed up in one church right now.
She has been to hospitals and seen so many psychologist but she's still same.
How do I help her please. |
