Hey morning guys

Theres this strategy that i've been working on. From the look of things it works and its simple. You need some knowledge of price action and candlesticks though.

My indicators are BB adn stochastics.

Anytime my stoch shows its in overbought or oversold zones, i check if it corresponds with at least 3 time frames M1, M5 and M15. I also look at the candlestick formations and Trend. Once i see it corresponds with all the 3 time frames, i trade d reversal for 20 or 30 mins expiry. You can trade if it corresponds with 2 TF though.

This strategy works best in the asian session or during low volatility. I'm testing the strategy with only GU and EU. This strategy may not for guys dat want 10 - 13 trades a day but for people like me who want a minimum of 3 and max of 5 sure trades.

Please i want gurus in the house to look at this strategy and tell the us what they think about it.

I think it's time for all civil society groups to organise Nigerians to march to Abuja and demand that before any form of austerity measure is implemented, that salaries/allowances of politicians/top civil servants must be slashed.

Pastor Tunde Bakare should resuscitate Save Nigeria group. Oby Ezekweasili swith her group should March to Abuja too. Infact all those people that we see on TV posing as human rights activists should come out now and organise a sustained protest.

What are Governors doing with 'security votes' that run into hundreds of millions of naira per state every month?

Nigeria needs both divine and human intervention

By the end of the tournament in February, Equatorial Guinea will have scored a massive image coup and Nigeria and the other countries who chickened out will be left with egg on their faces. This was a prime opportunity to project Nigeria positively and display a leadership role on the continent. Imagine Nigeria being the country which bailed out the rest of Africa and put on a great show against all outside expectations. Imagine Nigeria successfully defending the AFCON trophy in front of 68,000 Green and White shirts in Abuja. Imagine the rest of Africa and the world looking up at Nigeria as it would have sent the most evocative statement about our confidence in ourselves and our ability to get things done.
Instead, it's a TINY country like Equatorial Guinea which will now bad mouth us afterward saying things like "What Nigeria dared not do, we did excellently."
When all of you will be complaining that other people badmouth Nigerians, you don't see how things like this create these negative pictures of us.
After we've gone around beating our chests about how we are Africa's first ever $500bn economy and the largest economy in Africa, ordinary 4 week, 4 city tournament which we already have the infrastructure to host, we choose to chicken out.
Country of loud mouth, big for nothing, unsubstantiated egos.

I really thank God CAF didn't give us the hosting right.

We simply can't afford hosting nation's cup now because of dwindling oil prices and terrorism.

The major reason why analysts say that calabar port is not economically viable is because of the need for constant dredging, which I am made to believe is expensive.

Now if that is true, don't you guys think that any sea port located within alaigbo will have the same problem?

Since APC fans (like Barcanista) have successfully defended and justified Buhari's imprisonment of the great FELA KUTI, thus I'd like to hear their views on this.

After Buhari's coup in 1984 with 'corruption' given as excuse, EXECUTIVE President Shagari was placed under house arrest-never tried, while 'ordinary' Vice-President Alex Ekuweme was thrown into the harshest part of kirikiri prison.

What was the rationale behind this? If Shagari's governement was corrupt (according to Buhari) why was the principal and head of government (Shagari) not tried, convicted and thrown in jail?

Is this a sign of what to expect if Buhari is sworn in by May 29, 2015, selective justice?

Over to una...

Very good question.

FEC approves $1.3b for construction of Lekki deep sea port - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/fec-approves-1-3b-construction-lekki-deep-sea-port/#sthash.9rfhnZxz.dpuf
The Federal government Wednesday took the initiative to decongest existing ports in the country as it approved a $1.35billion contract for the construction of a new Deep Sea Port in Lekki- Lagos State.
Minister of transport Senator Idris Umar who briefed state house correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting said the project which is expected to be completed within the next four years is to constructed under a public private partnership PP arrangement on a concession basis for a period of 45 years after which it will revert to the federal government.
The Minister explained that the federal government has 20 percent equity in the project with Lagos state having 18.5percent equity while the private investors have 61.85 percent stake in the project.
He said “Council approved the issuance of a Guarantee to cover financial obligation of the NPA to pay compensation in the event of expropriation, war, civil disturbance, breach of contract and other event of default as per the concession agreement for the development of the port, as $800million out of the project cost is to be funded through debt financing while the balance of $554.5million is to be contributed by equity.

If FG's contribution to lekki seaport is $1.3 billion, and FG will own only 20% stake on this project and the state and private sector will share the remaining 80% of the cost now do the maths on how much the project will cost. the Ibaka seaport is expected to follow simillar funding % but the difference is that FG=20%, AKSG=20% and private consortium = 60%.
For those of you that are quoting how expensive this project is and copying wikipedia cost. seaport is not cheap if it were a $500million project you would have seen significant progress at Ibaka by now and even lekki by now

Yes its expensive but not all that money will be spent at once. A deep seaport is not an everyday shallow port project. As big as Nigeria is. As of today we do not have a single deep seaport, if it were a cheap project it would have been developed eons ago. there is a big difference with a deep port and shallow ports.

I see ur point sha.

Kinda sad that FG have not approved funds for this ibaka project

If Seaports cost $2- $6 billion dollars to build, how did poor countries like Jamaica, Haiti, Mozambique, Madagascar, Eritrea, Djibouti, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone etc find such mind boggling funds to build seaports ?

I seriously doubt the quote of $2 -6 billion dollars for Ibaka deep sea port. Even deep sea ports the size of a medium Nigerian city cost about that much in USA, where we know cost of labor is astronomical.
Yet, Ibaka seaport isn't supposed to be that huge to be bigger than 3 square miles area of some of these gigantic seaports that cost billions of dollars to build. It is like comparing the cost of Heathrow or JFK international airport and saying because it cost $200 billion dollars to build New York JFK airport, we shouldn't build an international airports in Nigeria or Uyo because we cannot find such funds to build a JFK like international airport in Nigeria. Yet, we don't need international airports that gigantic like JFK or Heathrow in Uyo or Enugu.

For example, Gwadar deep seaport in Pakistan pictured below cost only $250 million dollars! ...and also built by China!
If we can get something like this for phase one at Ibaka seaport, we can start there for now.Don't be surprised that what they are quoting for $6 billion dollars may not even be as big as Gwadar deep seaport!
So $300-500 million dollars for the initial phase of Ibaka seaport should be considered for now. The port can be expanded and improved with time.

Read about the world deep seaports and cost of their construction: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_seaports

I like the bolded, Ibaka seaport is the nemesis of the of some nigerians that want to maintain a monopoly of ports business in Nigeria! they succede for this long because the eastern flank of the country were not in position of authority to get it done. Ibaka seaport will be built, but it require men of courage and political savvy to jump all the hoops that has been layed against the project. Thank God for Gov. Akpabio,He himself is a nemisis to those against the project. All the neccessary approvals for the port has been obtained the ball now lies the the Federal executive council to approve it and release funding for it, just like they have already done for the Lekki port.

If building a seaport was like building and airport, cheaper, and states could do it alone without waiting for the FG and Private investors. Ibaka Seaport would be berthing ships as we speak. The meddlesomeness of the FG parastatals have not helped the project.

The first phase of the project alone which is the deep sea component without the embankment, jetties and warehousing is a whooping $2billion.
The whole project from start to finish is expected to cost $6billion. thats a Lot of money. Even the FG cannot sponsor that by themselves at a go hence the tiring balancing of act of carrying the Private investor, FG and state Govt.
But Gov. Akpabio has promised to be the governor that sees to the ground breaking of that project before he leaves office and i believe him because of his track record.

Now that's quite huge. Looks impossible to achieve I must confess especially now that oil price is nose diving sad.

I believe we need Chinese or world bank loan to construct this port.

just felt i should put this here...some can help me paste the story and highlight the important parts......http://www.punchng.com/business/sundayceo/we-dont-need-eastern-ports-amiwero/

The contract for Calabar port was awarded a few weeks ago. Why do you think the eastern ports have not been a success?

It is because they all have a shallow draught. They should never have been constructed in the first place with the exception of the Port Harcourt port and Onne port. That is why when the Europeans were there, they did not build a port there. It is just like the Sapele port; it was a Pontu port. It was the Europeans who were running it under UAC that noticed that a sea port could not be built there. So what they did was to discharge cargo on the high sea and then use vessels to bring it to the port. They should not have been created at all. How is Onitsha port doing now? It has been commissioned since.

This is why Calabar has to be dredged continuously and it is expensive. You don’t operate an expensive port; most of these ports are political ports with the exception of the ports at Port Harcourt and Onne. The day you put experts in Transport and in the Ministry of Finance, we will be able to get what other nations have got. Nigeria is losing out from all our God-given potential because of this.

A modern port should be able to accommodate mega ships and these ports cannot do so. In fact all our ports are river ports; it is only the deep sea port being constructed at Lekki that is an ocean port. If we must have ports in other states, they should be built where it is closer to the sea like Port Harcourt. Even at that, the port of Port Harcourt is still expensive by freight because it does not have destination of cargo.

Lagos has industries and can attract cargo. So ships must keep coming here. But these areas are not industrial areas. You don’t create a port out of nothing. The eastern ports don’t have a destination of cargo for them to be created.

There are no industries in the eastern region that can attract high import of cargo. You can’t divert cargo just because you want to use the ports. You have to attract cargo and one of the ways of doing that is the destination of cargo
.

Now that they have been constructed, what do we do with them?

The government has to plan what those ports can be used for. In Ghana, there are fishing ports. So we can equally redesign these ports for other uses. We need to bring in experts for this or else those ports will just remain there politically and we will continue to dredge them and waste money and the income will not be there. How many ships are going to Calabar, Warri and Onitsha? There have to be industries there that will attract the ships.

We are just a victim of a corrupt and ineffective government. We are caught in a web of power play of the USA colluding with Saudi Arabia to crash the oil market and its prices so as to weaken the russian economy.

Saudi is in agreement cos they also want to punish the russians for their support of Syria and backing of Iran.

We have spendthrifts in government who never saved for the rainy days. They have resorted to loan taking now despite the fact we had crude going over $163/barrel about a year ago. This clearly shows we never planned or learnt lessons over the years.

Amaechi has been taking from funds he kept aside in a sovereign wealth account since 2009 which he is now dipping into it to augment the shortfall from the federation account since last year.

Let the oil finish, you will see massive taxation. The minister already said so last week during her briefing. The economy is in tatters and we have a Harvard trained so called Professor as coordinating minister of the economy.

Emir Lamido warned but some thought he was crazy and called him all sorts of names.

It is a perilous times.

Abeg no vex.

I still remember that Okonjo-Iweala literally begged for SWF. But NGF led by Amaechi refused. The blame should be on all politicians from Mr President to Governors. APC & PDP are guilty.

And I respectfully disagree with you, Saudi is not colluding with USA to punish Russia and it has been said here in NL a million times. Oil price going down is all about:

1) Economic slowdown/fear of recession in Europe and this will ofcourse affect the world economy.

2) Shale oil boom in the US.

3) Reduced demand from China as a result of slowing industrial output.

4) Law of gravity cheesy. What goes up must surely come down.

Instead of making fun of Ghana, we should be discussing how we can weather this storm that is coming.

Decline in oil prices will spell disaster for us because we're not prepared. We didn't make judicious use of over $100 per barrel price that lasted for over 10 yrs
