Had_one: THIS CONFUSING BOKO ISSUE IS STRATEGICALLY DESIGNED AGAINST THE NORTH. INNOCENT SOULS WERE KILLED DAILY. ATTACKS ON SCHOOLS, MARKETS, TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENTS AND OTHER FACILITIES WHICH IS ECONOMICALLY VIABLE. BOKO HARAM IS A VERY STRONG ANTI-NORTHERN NIGERIA PROGRAMME DESIGNED TO RID NORTHERN ECONOMY.You forgot to add attacks on churches. It can also be argued that the Northern Elites are using Boko to intimidate Christians in the north ahead of 2015 elections. To make sure that GEJ doesn't get the required 25% in states he's not expected to win agAinst muslim candidate. A Christian Indigene of Borno told me this (I never knew Borno have Christians like Kaduna) |
What this means is that FG will remove fuel subsidy soon. If that happens, all state owned refineries will be privatised. Meanwhile, there is Orient refinery who are waiting for subsidy removal. A 9ja Delta oil company located in Rivers iS refining Diesel and Jet Fuel (not sure) and aRe waiting for subsidy removal to move into PMS. Plus so many other refineries that are still online. BoTtomline, Dangote may not find it easy monopolising this market. Except maybe a Northerner becomes the President come 2015 |
Gamji007: Please, save us that crap about wrong population census! Infact, if there is anything wrong with the census, its the south that has been inflated. Even without cenesus, a primary school pupil knows the north is more populated than the south. Please, let's be sincere to ourselves.Guess where majority of Ϯh℮ southerners go to? PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Even with Ϯh℮ poor standard of Education, south is still doing well. Or you saying cos of poor stantard of Education, northerners shouldn't send their wards to school Corpers from Ϯh℮ south would've helped but because of Ϯh℮ violence in your region, no sane southerner wants to serve in Ϯh℮ north. |
HOR members representing SE region should be skinned alive. The creation of a new state especially in the SE region is just to balance this equation of every other region having 6 or 7 states and SE having 5 states. Truth must be told, creation of another is a bad idea from economic point of view. However, to still corect this anomaly of unequal state among the regions, lets go back to Regional Governments instead of what we have now. Let each region elect a minimum of 10 -15 people that will make up the NASS and make laws on a part time basis (there pay should be per sitting). This will reduce the cost of governance drastically. Finally this report still goes to show that the Northerners holds the ace |

belovedaja: That steel was initially plan to be sited in igboland precisely present day anambra state. In the feasibility report and even political consideration anambra was best suited for the project. High level of Anti-igbo policy by fgn then hindered our development as a country. GOD will judgeIt was supposed to be sited in Onitsha. My late Father was into Solid Minerals so he had a copy of Ϯh℮ report which is still in his Library in Ϯh℮ Village. Even Ϯh℮ late C.C Onoh also said it in an interview. They did a comparative analyses and said in Ϯh℮ report that Onitsha was better. |
thoth: It really does not interest me who started the brawl , what concerns me is the psychological impact on the unity of the Igbo nation, the efficiency which it grants the opportunist to blow the notion of anambara or enugu to achieve their selfish goal and sustaining that mindset if it assures more profit. A larger sense of being a minority is already being created by the Kogis on Anambara Igala(Innoma, nzam etc) and these people no longer feel at home since their sense of royalty is now questioned by both sides, whatever becomes the outcome these events would shape the perception of the constituting inhabitants of that area and would largely affect their decision or policies on future events and loyalties as well.Igbos fail Unfortunately for you Sir you shall not See it neither will your descendants 50 generation witness it happen. Rather you'll witness its continous Elevation. By God's grace no Aguleri blood will be spilled by any enugu man and vice versa as a result of this oil well dispute. As for the Igalas, it shall be settled amicably in no distant future. |
I wonder whats the problem of the Aguleri Chief. Enugu people have not made any statement recently about the oil. BIKO ejim aha Chukwu ayo ndigbo n'ebe a, ka anyi akowana onwe anyi onu ebe a. Biko |

Are there no elders in North Korea? Are Ϯh℮ Generals fools? Why can't they remove this Fat Reta.rd before its too late? What's China doing about this? Is Pyongyang no longer listening to China? China can single handedly remove Ϯh℮ reta.rd and replace him with another General. I remember its written that God won't destroy Ϯh℮ earth with water anymore but with fire. People maybe expecting fire to fall from heaven not knowing it could be Nuclear bombs falling from Ϯh℮ sky. Its also said that he who Ϯh℮ Gods want to destroy they first make MAD. Ϯh℮ world is about to be destroyed because of actions/inactions (MADNESS)of a little spoilt brat and world powers. |
ujoinme: does anyone have any updates on this project?I am also interested in the updates. Is the work still ongoing or has it been abandoned? |
Blackwind: Looks like you believe the hype that 2011 elections were free and fair. From that drama of APC registration it is clear that INEC and PDP are in some sort of alliance which will be a threat to free expression of choice in 2015 yet again. While there were exaggerations in last elections, GEJ won in a free and fair manner at least by Nigerian Standard. Nigerians voted along ethnic and religious lines simple. NC,SS,SE and SW voted for PDP |
“As a governor, Amaechi is one of those ruling this country. Is he admitting that he is a dictator in his state? I wonder!!! |
Ishsoph: With all these "will you vote Buhari/Jonathan" I suspect that either Buhari's party agents or Jonathans are trying to get opinion poll to assist them in deciding wether:How many Nlanders will vote in 2015? Most of the guys here are living abroad, they're not planning to come back home and some here are planning how to run away for fear of war . Truth is in 2011, Buhari won in almost all online polls but GEJ latter carried the day. My brother less than 5% NLanders will stand in the sun, vote and wiat for the votes to be counted. Meanwhile, I'll vote for GEJ |
azpekuliar: Are you positive she said something like that?Yes Sir she said it. I saw it with my own eyes. Tony Iredia Ϯh℮ then DG of NTA was Ϯh℮ person that interviewed her. Iredia was anchoring Ϯh℮ Pointblank program. |
No wonder Maryam Abacha said that they'll never be as poor as Dangote on NTA point blank program some years back. Meanwhile, how much was Ϯh℮ price of oil during Abacha's Regime? |
D-secret:100000likes!!! My fear is Lagos is so crowded that it will only take Ϯh℮ grace of God to stop any suicide bomber. Should we now be running away from every Hausa man that comes near us Pls we should co operate with Security officials by reporting any suspicious movement to Ϯh℮ Army,SSS,Police, etc. Please it'll be appreciated if any Nlander can post special or dedicated Phone numbers of SSS or Army. Yomieluv: Nobody can run your business for u properly, except YOU. Its either you pull the plug on your sister,or close it down till you are ready to come back. How are we in the same country with a people that value cows more than human life I'm a staunch believer of 1 Nigeria, but these people are just outright wicked and crazy. These guys are making it hard for people like me who argue for 1 Nigeria every where i go.The President and Leaders from other regions should come out and condemn this acts. Somebody needs to tell Buhari (I heard he's the leader of the Fulani's in West Africa) and Sultan on the need to let their people know that a Human life is more valuable than any infinite number of cows. These guys need education for God sake. We can't continue like this as a Nation. We need Sovereign National Conference where we all will sit down and discuss issues like this. I heard there is a Grazing Reserve bill before the NASS, let no Southerner vote in favor of this bill. Buhari and the Sultan should educate their people on the Advantages of owning a RANCH. |
I don't know why I doubt this story. Something is not right |
One_Naira: I continue to wonder why people are trying to turn SE against GEJ and SS on this forum when it's obvious, he's done more for that region than the past administrations. There is no doubting this fact. GEJ has tried for Igbo's more than any other past President. From Appointments to Infrastructures, Igbo's have found favor in his eyes. Its the Lord's doing and its marvelous in our eyes . We thank Chineke. Gej dey try for us.However like Oliver Twist, we want some more. GEJ would do us a great favor if he sends a Resource control bill to the NASS, Regional Governments or better still addressing the nation and NASS on the need to convene a round table meeting where all Tribes in Nigeria will come together and discuss the way forward as a NATION (Very difficult proposition right? ). Should GEJ do any of these, he will be regarded as the Best President Nigeria ever had. He will be seen to be greater than the Zik's,Awolowo's, Sardauna's of this world. |
Billyonaire: This is going to be a proxy war that will decimate USA economically, and hurt her ego worldwide. China is rallying the BRICS and allies to dump the Dollars in 2015, then USA will lose her grip on world's economy. They can not lift debt ceiling for ever and China has been buying up every gold reserve. It is only too soon that USA will realize that the entire world has turned their back against them, cos now people have a choice, a economically more sound country that is ready to provide credit facilities and grants without meddling in local sovereign politics.Even in BRICS, US have more allies than China and Russia. Brazil, India and SA are all western allies. I don't see US going down economically in Ϯh℮ next 100years. I'm not an economist, maybe Oga Manny can help out here but US will still be Ϯh℮ world power in Ϯh℮ forseeable future. |
The two Missouri-based stealth bombers used in the South Korean drills probably weren't nuclear-armed, but experts say they're the aircraft that would likely be sent if Washington ever decides it does want to drop nuclear bombs on North Korea. The United States doesn't forward-deploy nuclear weapons in South Korea, Okinawa, Guam or Hawaii. "The B-2 can reach targets from North Korea to Iran directly from Missouri. Guys, America pass North Korea. END OF DISCUSSION ![]() |
http://news.yahoo.com/nkorea-orSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned Friday that his rocket forces were ready "to settle accounts with the U.S.," unleashing a new round of bellicose rhetoric after U.S. nuclear-capable B-2 bombers dropped dummy munitions in joint military drills with South Korea. Kim's warning, and the litany of threats that have preceded it, don't indicate an imminent war. In fact, they're most likely meant to coerce South Korea into softening its policies, win direct talks and aid from Washington, and strengthen the young leader's credentials and image at home. But the threats from North Korea and rising animosity from the rivals that have followed U.N. sanctions over Pyongyang's Feb. 12 nuclear test do raise worries of a misjudgment leading to a clash. Kim "convened an urgent operation meeting" of senior generals just after midnight, signed a rocket preparation plan and ordered his forces on standby to strike the U.S. mainland, South Korea, Guam and Hawaii, state media reported. Kim said "the time has come to settle accounts with the U.S. imperialists in view of the prevailing situation," according to a report by the North's official Korean Central News Agency. Later Friday at the main square in Pyongyang, tens of thousands of North Koreans turned out for a 90-minute mass rally in support of Kim's call to arms. Men and women, many of them in olive drab uniforms, stood in arrow-straight lines, fists raised as they chanted, "Death to the U.S. imperialists." Placards in the plaza bore harsh words for South Korea as well, including, "Let's rip the puppet traitors to death!" Small North Korean warships, including patrol boats, conducted maritime drills off both coasts of North Korea near the border with South Korea on Thursday, South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said in a briefing Friday. He didn't provide more details. The spokesman said that South Korea's military was mindful of the possibility that North Korean drills could lead to an actual provocation. He also said that the South Korean and U.S. militaries are watching closely for any signs of missile launch preparations in North Korea. He didn't elaborate. North Korea, which says it considers the U.S.-South Korean military drills preparations for invasion, has pumped out a string of threats in state media. In the most dramatic case, Pyongyang made the highly improbable vow to nuke the United States. On Friday, state media released a photo of Kim and his senior generals huddled in front of a map showing routes for envisioned strikes against cities on both American coasts. The map bore the title "U.S. Mainland Strike Plan." Portions of the photo appeared to be manipulated, though an intriguing detail — a bandage on Kim's left arm — appeared to be real. Experts believe the country is years away from developing nuclear-tipped missiles that could strike the United States. Many say they've also seen no evidence that Pyongyang has long-range missiles that can hit the U.S. mainland. Still, there are fears of a localized conflict, such as a naval skirmish in disputed Yellow Sea waters. Such naval clashes have happened three times since 1999. There's also the danger that such a clash could escalate. Seoul has vowed to hit back hard the next time it is attacked. North Korea's threats are also worrisome because of its arsenal of short- and mid-range missiles that can hit targets in South Korea and Japan. Seoul is only a short drive from the heavily armed border separating the Koreas. "The North can fire 500,000 rounds of artillery on Seoul in the first hour of a conflict," analysts Victor Cha and David Kang wrote recently for Foreign Policy magazine. They also note that North Korea has a history of testing new South Korean leaders; President Park Geun-hye took office late last month. "Since 1992, the North has welcomed these five new leaders by disturbing the peace," they wrote. U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told reporters Thursday that the decision to send B-2 bombers to join the military drills was part of normal exercises and not intended to provoke North Korea. Hagel acknowledged, however, that North Korea's belligerent tones and actions in recent weeks have ratcheted up the danger in the region, "and we have to understand that reality." U.S. Forces Korea said the B-2 stealth bombers flew from a U.S. air base in Missouri and dropped dummy munitions on an uninhabited South Korean island range on Thursday before returning home. The Pentagon said this was the first time a B-2 had dropped dummy munitions over South Korea, and later added that it was unclear whether there had ever been any B-2 flights there at all. The statement follows an earlier U.S. announcement that nuclear-capable B-52 bombers participated in the joint military drills. Pyongyang uses the U.S. nuclear arsenal as a justification for its own push for nuclear weapons. It claims that U.S. nuclear firepower is a threat to its existence and provocation. "The B-2 can reach targets from North Korea to Iran directly from Missouri, which is what the United States did in the early stages of operations against Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq," analyst Jeffrey Lewis wrote in a post on ArmsControlWonk.com earlier this monthders-rocket-prep-us-b-2-drill-000429063.html |
