cjrane: Gov. Peter Obi had a job,before he ventured into politics.Most Nigerian politicians don't have any job.
That is why they keep running for Senate,President etc and when they rig themselves into a public office of trust,they steal the country blind to support themselves when they are finally forced to retire from politics.

I thank God for this tournament. I believe that the coaching crew have gained invaluable experience from it. We've now seen that Akpala, Gambo, Ujah and Egwueke are not SE materials.

We've also seen that we don't have a good bench or good subs for all our defenders. Keshi must invite Onyekachi Apam (lets pray he'll be fit) and also convince Yobo to stay on the bench when invited. Keshi should look for another right full back so that Ambrose can return to his CB role when needed. Ofcourse, Taye Taiwo should be brought back again so as to keep Echiejile on his toes.

Our midfield is ok. I just pray that Keshi invites Joel Obi once hes fit. Also once Nosa Igiebor settles down, he should also be invited.

As for our attack, let's bring back Martins, Uche brothers,Anichebe and Bright Dike (the big dude that scored a fantastic goal against Catalunya in a friendly just before the Afcon). Don't bring back Osaze biko, his problem is too much.

Information at our disposal is that ITAKPE IRON ORE which is designed to feed Ajaokuta has been traded for Ajaokuta to Global Infrastructure, in the circumstance Ajaokuta will not have a raw material feedstock. When then becomes of Ajaokuta without raw materials. Some of these so called political leaders do not seek professional advise before opening their mouth simply because they want to be relevant. Ajaokuta will not work optimally without Itakpe. They should open up and tell us the status of Itakpe in the aftermath of the Arbitration in London.

I heard that Ϯh℮ Minister Of Transport said that Eastern Rail lines will be completed this year. A friend of mine who's father is a Railway staff in Enugu told me about teh low quality of work being done by a Turkish Construction firm ESSER in Enugu.

He said that Ϯh℮ Railway Union have protested to Ϯh℮ Minister Of Transport warning that Train will always derail which may lead to unwanted loss of lives n properties. But still nothing is being done to address this. Rumour has it that Ϯh℮ person that invited (has shares) ESSER is Ϯh℮ MD of Railways, Sijuade. Who happens to be Ϯh℮ son of Oba Sijuade.

Please anybody who knows President Goodluck should please bring his attention to this matter because all the Rail lines handled by ESSER is an accident waiting to happen

Truth is bitter, or so the old saying goes. However, if you want to have any form of progress, you have to tell yourself the truth, or a variation of it at least. So let's tell ourselves some hard truths.

Our country's north has some of the worst indices of human development on God's green earth. One of the states in which a state of emergency was declared, Yobe, had only 74 students register for the National Common Entrance Examinations in 2011. Kebbi, also a northern state, had 82! Nigeria is one of only three countries on earth that still has cases of polio. A disease we came close to eradicating ten years ago. The poverty rates in the different geo-political zones of the north are 59.7% (North-Central), 69% (North-East) and 70% (North-West), poverty being defined as those who live on less than US$1 a day. The irony of all of this, is that save the South-South states, Adamawa state, one of the #SoE states, gets more from the federation account (sharing the money), than any state in the South-East as an example. As a matter of fact, both Adamawa and Bauchi get more revenue per person than Ogun, Oyo, Lagos, Anambra, and Enugu.

And no, the problem with Northern Nigeria is not as a result of Islam. Some of the most progressive countries on the planet, think Turkey and Qatar, are Islamic countries. No, the problem with Northern Nigeria is the naked greed and avarice of the successors of Ahmadu Bello. That is the reason why, from the safety of the Musa Yar'Adua Centre in Abuja, these geezers can tell the President that he has "declared war on the north"!
