STILESGANG:1958 it was. I agree anything can happen. Sorry, ur German machines suffered an engine knock. |
It's going to take something special. For Portugal to beat France at home. The Last time Portugal beat France is some 41 years ago in a friendly. Portugal hasn't beaten France in a competitive match. My smart money is on France but it's football anything can happen. |
elisra:Yeah but not as hosts |
Germany defeated its nemesis (Italy).
France defeated its nemesis (Germany).
Can Portugal defeat its nemesis (France)? |

Can Portugal defeat its nemesis (France)? |
Not surprised. Ab initio, I tipped France to win this tournament. History tells me they usually find a way to win when they host. Platini(84) Zidane(98) Griezmann(16)? |
Gareth Bale really tried. Too bad he couldn't 'Bale' them out. Nevertheless, He's my player of the tournament so far. |
Ronaldo has equalled Platini's goal scoring record of 9 goals at the Euros. When this guy's career is over, only God knows how many records he would have broken or equalled Updated: He's also the only player to appear in three European Championship semi-finals & The only player to score in four different Euros |
abimbawealth:If u've watched Portugal's games u would know Pepe has been excellent. Portugal are in semis not because they won but because they've refused to lose. |

waterfas:Really? How is the South East represented? |
Bolustic:1) Your post doesn't prove anything. It is actually misleading. You excluded positions occupied by other regions to make it seem the appointments were lopsided. I stand to be corrected it wasn't as lopsided as this government. 2) I'm for merit. However, when it comes to admission into unity schools and tertiary institutions, no one mentions merit. Someone with 5 credits + 2xx UME score in South won't get admission while someone with less than 5 credits + 1xx UME score in the North is on the merit list. When it comes to employment into Government Parastatals, again no one mentions merit. You see them screaming Federal Character - 5 from each state. Even when the 15th placed person in my state has a better test score than 1st placed person in some state in the North. When it comes to Politics they will now say merit. Which Merit, what's the yardstick? Are there not qualified people across the length and breadth of this Nation. If Nigeria wants merit then lets do merit in all sectors; if it's Federal Character then lets stick to that. |
He will rather go to jail than return home. |
foladara777:Actually I'm not taking sides but these players Boateng, Alaba, Coman though black are not Africans. |
Zedoo:U caused the confusion. When you write, be clear. It should read: overhyped English players instead of overhyped EPL players. |
Badosqi:That's why I say England's problem is not talent but mental/coach. As seen from these results, they possess the quality to beat these teams but when the pressure sets in, they fold. |
STILESGANG:Nah! France won't pack the bus. France would go toe-to-toe with Germany. Not with the quality they've got and backing from the fans. France has never played "pack the bus" football. It's not one of their models. |
Zedoo:Overhyped? The entire welsh team with exception of Gareth Bale and Owain Williams(2nd choice keeper) play in the epl or championship. The other semi-finalists also have epl players in their team |
Anabel:U support Man utd? |
That England team needs a very good psychologist and coach that would harness its potential. If Wales can get to semis, England should at least get to quarters. England had no business losing to Iceland. That second half was abysmal. They couldn't even do the basics (couldn't trap, misplaced passes). It was as if they had accepted defeat mentally. |
Football is funny sha. If na England, France no fit hammer them like this. |
virginboy1:Yes. Though not all Christians agree |
virginboy1:Lol! 1)BTW, the bible doesn't say avoid alcohol rather avoid getting drunk. 2) These companies have non-alcoholic brands like feyrouz and malt drinks. So not all that revenue is from sales of alcohol. |
pendusky:Remember, it is my countdown...so it's subjective. I know the song and it's nice. |
It's been my desire to do this but I just kept procastinating. I've finally decided to "eat that frog". This is a countdown for 10 really beautiful but not so popular songs released in the last 12 months or so. Here they are in my order of preference (from good to great): 10) ONYE BY FRANK EDWARDS In this song based on a true story, Frank Edwards express his indebtedness to God for his grace and mercy. A beautiful rendition accompanied with stirring visuals. 9) He’s Coming Back Again (De-Ola ft Isreal Strong) It is a timely reminder of the coming of Christ. De-ola said she was instructed to write this song. Hear her: “It was on the 27th of December, 2015, the Spirit of the Lord woke me up from the sleep and instructed me to write a song on Jesus Christ return. While I was there thinking of what to write, He told me to use Rhapsody of Realities written by my man of God, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Phd , 17th of December, Rhapsody of Realities (ROR). This song changed my life as I await the Lord’s coming, and I’m sure it will change yours too.” 8.) I Sabi Who I be – Da Music “I Sabi Who I Be” is the Pidgin English equivalent of the popular expression “I Know Who I Am”. This superb production is ingeniously delivered with pure afrobeat and insightful lyrics. 7) Miracle God – viwe nikita I wanted this countdown to be limited to Nigerian Songs but this song gatecrashed. In this beautiful single, Viwe lauds the many virtues that make God, A Miracle God. 6) Dis My handz – Jahdiel Jahdiel comes your way again with this amazing spirit-filled song titled “Dis my Handz“. The sound, style and rhythm of this music is typical to Jahdiel. The song underscores the hands of a believer as an instrument of authority by which he/she can effect changes in his/her environment. A well choreographed video with a Disney feel to it 5) Nani gi by Mario Ese “Nani Gi” means “Only You”. In this magnificent piece, Mario extols Jehovah as the only God worthy of our praise. 4) Amaghimo by Password Patrick Mathias, popular known as Password is a Nigerian producer, song writer and singer. His first official offering “Amaghimo” expresses his immense gratitude to God. “Amaghimo” means I don't know. God’s been very good to him and he doesn't know how thank him - he’s at a loss for words. 3) We wait on you by Steve Crown From his debut album, comes this worship song from a thirsty soul that will draw you closer to God. 2) iTestify by Ada There are songs you hear and they just resonate with your spirit. This is one of such songs. Yeah, I almost spoilt my replay button. In this word-filled song, Ada proclaims the mighty works of God. This video has cameo appearances by respected Gospel music ministers such as Sinach, Frank Edwards, Joepraize and many others 1) Jesus I Love You by Sinach This very beautiful song from her album -“The Name of Jesus” was written from a deep place of intimacy. This anointed worship leader uses this medium to express her profound love for the master Honorable Mentions: Covenant keeper by Flo ; To my unborn child by EliJ; Turn me around by Samsong Feel free to add yours P.S. STILESGANG:#Fact#Consistency Germany is Europe's most successful (4 WCs and 3 Euros) and consistent team. You'd have go back to Euro 2004 for the last time Germany failed to make the semis in a major competition. |
STILESGANG:I expected more from Italy. But it seemed they were playing for penalties when it's not England or Holland. |
Krasid:To think that was why he was brought in |
tizblink:Congratulobia. Jinx had to break someday |
Italy's Mistake: they allowed the game get to penalties. Germans are penalty kings. They have won their last six penalty shootouts. Only ever lost one and that was 40 years ago to Panenka and Czechoslovakia |
See as Man U players just dey miss penalty |
