Hmmm, I see...I was wondering how u guys arrived at 40. There is a problem with this approach it assumes 8+11 is the 4th term while infact it's the 8th term.

The way you guys fight over this Messi and Ronaldo issue is amusing. Haba, you can like them both it's not mutually exclusive. I am huge fan of Ronaldo but I respect Messi a lot. A lot of people have misconceptions about Ronaldo and it doesn't help. He is extremely confident, ambitious (yes, he has an ego) but he's great guy.

Why would God make such analogy if jewelries are evil?

In regards to Exodus 35:22 which you quoted and which says "So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the LORD". you have convicted yourself because since the coming of Jesus Christ God no longer accepts such sacrifices and offerings. Jesus Christ the son God was the last and final offering. also Exodus 35:22 which you quoted only said they brought earrings it didn't say that earrings are not sinful.

Wearing Jewelry is in no way immodest. If you find it immodest, please don't wear cause your conscience will condemn you. However, don't impose your self-made standards on others. 1 Peter 3:5 talks about taking cues from the women of old like Sarah, Esther and the rest. Give me proof that these women didn't wear jewelries. If Abraham gave out earrings or nose rings (both require piercing), then the chances are that Sarah wore them too.

The Bible passage you classical Christians usually refer to is 1 Peter 3:3-5:

This same passage also talks about braiding of hair. Don't your women braid their hair? Why do you take braiding of hair and reject wearing of earrings? Your obedience is incomplete. Why do you wear cloth because the passage also talks about wearing of cloth? You people wear the most expensive cloth. Misinterpretation the Bible.

What the Bible is talking about is moderation or modest dressing and that a woman's beauty doesn't end in outward appearance but what also is inside her.

It is no sin if you don't wear earrings and neither is it a sin if you wear. Their is no proof that the holy women referred to in the passage weren't wearing earring, the most important thing is their faith in God and their submission to their husband.

How does wearing earrings affect God? A woman who wears earrings and commits fornication is not different from the one who doesn't wear and commit the same sin. A woman who wears earrings who fears God and avoids sin is in the sight of God better than a sinful woman who doesn't wear earrings.

Piercing the ear: why do you cut your hair and tamper with God's temple? Why do you cut your nails tampering with God's temple? Are doing these not making you handsome or beautiful? Imagine how you will look leaving them untouched because you don't want to tamper with God's temple.

Genesis 24:22 records that Abraham's servant gave Rebecca a golden earring and two hand bracelets (these gifts Abraham handed to his servants as he went in search of a wife for Isaac). So Abraham Father of faith didn't see anything wrong with it.

Exodus 32.2 clearly states that Israeli women wore gold rings (possibly from their spoils of Eygpt)

Exodus 35:22 says men and women (those who were willing) donated their gold jeweries which included brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments toward the building of the tabernacle.

The scripture they always quote in Peter is not an instruction against wearing but a reminder that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty hence should be the emphasis

I wonder why people with this mindset think it's cool to tastefully decorate their houses but not their bodies.

I am sure you know "spoiled" here doesn't mean bad like in "spoiled" child. Also, quoting a verse in isolation can be misleading. If you can, please read other versions of the bible to get a clearer understanding.

Only children have perfect skins ^_^ It's rare to see a grown up lady wearing no makeup. I mean NO MAKEUP, not NATURAL MAKEUP - Tinted moisturizers and lip balms,concealers, bronzers, same skin tone foundation and eye shadows, etc.



Ladies wearing make-up on their profile pictures attract three times as many hits than those who dont. Even in real life, they get more admirers. That doesnt add up with what you guys say about going natural. Actions speak louder than words.



Make-up is like salt. You notice only when its excessive or absent. Because a girl wears natural makeup, you think thats her natural look and they're better than those who wear visible makeup. They're doing the same thing!




P.S Im not talking about those clowns that wear excessive makeup with wrong shades.
