Nairaland / General / 6 Fashion Styles Awfully Abused By Nigerians by PalmchatApp: 12:34pm On Jun 08, 2017
It's ok to be a fashionista and probably want to make statements with your fashion sense, but honesty, there are some styles that doesn't go well with some people. It could fit A and look awful on B. People from other parts of the world could embrace it and look dope, but trust me when Nigerians so things, they sometimes over do.

Here is a list of some of those fashion sense abused by SOME of us.
1. Beards
When the trend for beards gang started, i was a big fan of it, especially when i see cute clean beards. Over the time, Nigerians took advantage of this to look like people from the terror gang. When you see some beards you just want to puke.

2. Sagging
Lord, have you seen some guys when they sag? You immediately just want to hug them . But trust me, when that thing entered them, it was almost unbelievable. Some people look like They have poo in their jeans or some kind of funny masquerade. The way they pulled down the jean and bounce, you just vex.

3. Flower on tops
This originated from Gucci design if i'm not wrong. Trust me, when Nigerians saw this, Hardly will you go anywhere without seeing the flower attached to clothes, jean, shoes and so on. Some even abused it till they start looking like a graveyard, lol.

4. Sneakers
I love the idea of sneakers on any outfit, it gives a classy touch. People wear it on jean, skater skirts, dresses and so on. It became annoying when some put on iro n buba, lace, long dresses, and still wear sneakers. sigh.

5. Baby hair
This looks perfect on some people, especially those cute ladies. When my girls took over, it was a different thing, they pull the front hair almost up to the brows looking like people from the underworld. On a lighter note, this is so so so wrong.

6. Makeup contour, highlighting
It was all fun and game when this trend started, you just can't help but admire. Now, it's a different ball game entirely, some contour and highlight makes you wonder what exactly was going on before they had that on their face.

Drop and include the ones not mentioned here.

Health / 6 Provoking Ways You Are Endangering Your Health by PalmchatApp: 11:33am On Jun 05, 2017
Health they say is wealth. Unfortunately, so many people treat their health status as unimportant. There are some day-day mistakes/acts you engage in that could actually be detrimental to your health. Treating your health as a basic necessity makes you totally fit.
Below are some provoking ways you could endanger your health.
1.Poor Eating Habit
This is one aspect people tend to ignore. When you eat right, your health feels right. Fruits, vegetables are important part of healthy living. You don't necessarily have to eat heavy meals or even complete the three square meal, but it is necessary to have a complete balanced diet. When poor eating habit lingers on for long, it affects your mental and physical being. Excess fat is not right for the body. Try to eat less, avoid oversize portions, and replace sugary drinks with water. So many people are unnecessarily overweight.

2. Little or no exercise
The importance of exercise can never be overlooked. so many people are guilty of it, especially those in office environments. It does not take much of your time when you stretch your hands and legs. Sitting on the same spot for long hours could later lead to stroke, fat accumulation and so on. Even if you don't have an office job, take out time to walk round the house, register at a gym center just to keep fit.

3. Excessive thinking
It is not a big deal when you think and have time alone,it becomes an issue when you do it often. Excessive thinking could lead to depression if not checked. “Those likely to internalize stress are in greater danger; research has shown a benefit to laughter and social support,” Dr. Reynolds says. It is good to be in control of your thoughts, before they have a troll on you.

4. Reckless Lifestyle
This is also way people, especially youths endanger themselves. Excess alcohol is linked to a greater risk of high blood pressure, high levels of blood fats, and heart failure. In addition, the extra calories can lead to weight gain, a threat to heart health. Smoking, extra loud music, keeping a sad face constantly is unhealthy and also a way of endangering your health.

5. Isolation from the world
So many people like to act like sadist. They shut down the world an create like a barrier between themselves and those around them. The importance of always having someone to talk to is deep. People with stronger connections to family, friends, and society in general tend to live longer, healthier lives. They hardly have many things to worry about, everything just feels perfect. Everyone needs alone time, but you should still reach out to others and keep in touch whenever you can.

6. Stiffness
Truth is, we have our days when everything feels not so right, when worries takes a great part of our lives, but we shouldn't let this completely affect us. Some people take life so seriously and hardly find time to relax and chill. It doesn't hurt to go see movies, visit friends or amusement parks. Enjoy life and take it one step at a time.

I get you dear, you see in the post, i kept emphasizing on the word ''some youths''. You could research on jobs, skills, just be busy. Some employers are gonna ask what you have been doing while you were unemployed, you know it speaks volume about you. it is well.
Respect55:
My brother, if I start telling u Wat most of us have passed through to make ends meet, u will show some empathy to our course. Those that are employed now didn't even struggle as much as we have done. If u have any job at all, advertise it here and stop making the issue appear as if the unemployed like me aren't serious.
U talked of emptying their wallet to feel among, do u empty wallet that is already empty? Think of the Government that has failed us both in job hunt and empowerment. The problem with most of us is finance to start up something, not that we enjoy bn idle or that we are waiting for white collar jobs.

Jobs/Vacancies / 5 Ways You Are Wasting Away Your Youthful Time by PalmchatApp: 2:12pm On May 31, 2017
Opportunities stare at so many people at different points, but there is this inability to look at that direction. Some youths in this generation are basically wasting away and waiting on white collar jobs, connect and praying the type of Olajumoke's prayers. Truth is, if you don't make efforts, you wouldn't be part of a success story. Aside jobs, some youths are wasting away by doing things that are hazardous to them and the country.

1. waiting on jobs- Truth is this, not everyone is ever gonna work in an office environment. For some, they are likely to end up as entrepreneurs, employers, staffs and so on. So many youths keep waiting on white collar kind of jobs, waiting on someone to connect them and so on. You really don't have to wait on anyone. Push yourself, start with the little capital you have,be diligent in what you do and watch how you excel.

2. Looking for easy routes- Many youths don't even want to earn through the right process. They rather cut corners and look for easy routes. Youths go into fraud, prostitution, rituals and so on. They want a sugar mummy and daddy to make their lives better. What you work hard for, you cherish it and you are proud of it. Nothing good comes so easy.

3. No thirst for knowledge- Most youths now find it difficult reading. Even when an important message, text or book is sent across, it becomes a burden to read and digest. Some youths rather go have fun than attend quality seminars, events or listen to piece of information that could be useful. There are many skills acquisitions that are free or you have to pay little, you find out some youths still wouldn't attend. Knowledge is never a waste. We don't even research on job opportunities, scholarships that could be beneficial.

4. Lustful desires- Now that there is recession, you find out some youths are still spending on things that don't add up. They try to impress those that don't matter. Spend weekly on liabilities instead of assets. Some youths just want to live like these celebrities. Empty their wallets just to stay relevant. Spend outrageously on gadgets, fashion items, trips that don't add up.

5. Wrong company- so many youths are in companies that are likely to dampen their future. They go into relationships that don't add any value to them. Relationships where you don't have a good foundation and you become are turned to a punching bag or ATM machine. Most youths are keeping wrong company with those that wouldn't make them grow. You are likely to become like the person you stay with often.

Romance / 3 Crucial Reasons Why You Are Still Single To Stupor by PalmchatApp: 4:41pm On May 30, 2017
Do you ever wonder why you are still single even when so many people are getting married, engaged or finding a new lover? well the reasons are not far fetched. Instead of worrying your head over why you are still single, just think of any of these you have not gotten right.

1.Your attitude- So many ladies, guys, are still single simply because they have refused to act right. Wrong attitudes towards people around them. You can't go far with a wrong attitude. The way you talk to people or treat people goes a long way to tell who you are and how you attract people towards you. It could be laziness, pride and so on.

2.Attachment to past- So many people have gotten so comfortable with singleness. Sometimes, people prefer to stay single when they remember that one person did them wrong or the relationship that left them unstable. Some people still carry past hurts, confusions around that it becomes uncomfortable moving on. You are still attached to your ex and it seems impossible going for someone else.

3. You love being single- Most times, people are so comfortable with being single. they love the freedom that comes with it. There is no validation from anyone, everything just feels perfect. There is no worry about who is cheating on who. It just feels perfect.

include your own reason why you love being single.

Romance / 5 Ways To Make A Nigerian Guy Turned On by PalmchatApp: 2:55pm On May 22, 2017
Are you thinking of ways to make that guy head over heels in love with you? Truth is, it is not easy to get a guy fall crazily in love with you. There must be something you are doing or you have done that will make him come back for you. Just like women love to hide their feelings, men also do this.

Do you want to get that man turned on and attracted to you, try this.

1. Be Pleasant
Men love women that are pleasant. Ensure you put on a big smile always. Have pleasant words coming out of your mouth. pleasant people are always happy. There is never a dull moment around them. They have positive vibes. Guys love ladies that can make them giggle and blush. Tell him something interesting always.
2. Stay attractive
Guys are first attracted to one thing about you. It could be your appearance, your intelligence, smile, fame et.c Beyond beauty, make sure you have something valuable to offer a guy. Beauty wouldn't be forever. Have something more than your look to offer.
3. Be Respectful
Respect goes a long way. Guys love to be respected no matter how little they are. When a guy finds a woman that is respectful, he treat her with respect as well. He can boast of you anywhere.
4. Be romantic
Never force yourself on a guy, it makes your value depreciate. But there are things you could do that will make a man turned on. You could maintain eye contact for long, send him gifts, peck him randomly. send messages telling him how much you love and miss him. Make delicacies. put on cute underwear.
5. Give him little space
Men don't like when you choke them with calls, texts and visits. That does not mean you shouldn't care for him, but don't be readily available. Give him space to enjoy his time alone. Most times when a guy beg for your attention, they appreciate you more.
