TravelRe: BRT New Buses Are Coming In Batches To Lagos Bus-Stops by PapaBrowne(m): 7:20am On Jun 19, 2018
Who dey work dey work!

You can see Ambode's impact everywhere you go. You can see bus terminals, you can see bridges, you can see brand new buses, you can see real impact. It used to take me 3 hrs to move from VI to VGC. It now takes me less than 30 minutes. Thats impact.

The president and his team on the other hand despit over 25 trillion in budgets and 11 trillion in new debts cannot show 1 single project. Nor a single kilometer of anything it initiated and completed.
Instead it shamelessly takes a project the previous government completed, paints it, puts a plaque on it and commissions it to claim credit. Not a single project to its name.
AgricultureRe: Help Needed - Where Can I Sell Cassava After Harvesting In Benin City? by PapaBrowne(m): 8:31pm On Jun 18, 2018
I dont think cassava is a good idea right about now.
The glut from last years planting will spill over into next year.
Plant something else with your land now and plant cassava next year when most farmers would want nothing to do with the crop.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, Morocco Sign Agreement On Regional Gas Pipeline by PapaBrowne(m): 12:31pm On Jun 11, 2018
Weve not used the gas to power our own country we are looking for how to buld pipeline to send it to West Africa and Europe.

These guys are literally brain frozen! How we end up with these kinds of leaders is still a mystery
CelebritiesRe: We Are Not Withdrawing The 'This Is Nigeria' Video - Falz's Management To MURIC by PapaBrowne(m): 12:59pm On Jun 06, 2018
madridguy:
I see Charlie Hebdo replica happening soon in Nigeria over this video.
Let just be watching for now.
You statement literally says that Islam is a terrible religion. Because, the Falz video is actually more critical of the percieved ills happening in Churches than it is of Islam.
Churches setting up universities was criticized. Pastors taking advantage of members was critisized. No Christians have complained.
Then girls are dancing in a video wearing hijabs that even Catholic nuns wear and then you are desiring a repeat of Charlie Hebdo.
Except you are saying Islam is a religion of death and destruction I do not understand your reason
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Records 59.9% Export Growth – Udoma by PapaBrowne(m):
I like how they run figures telling us they saw growth between 2016 and 2017. They always purposely refuse to show us what 2014 figures looked like.

Buhari messed up everything so bad in 2016 that anything that happened in 2017 looked like improvement. Go to NBS and check export data(non oil) for 2012- 2014 and compare with the 2016-2018 and you'll understand that damage Buhari dis to our economy.

I have only 1 question for this government: What has happened to the over 11 trillion naira they have borrowed in the last 3 years.

--- 11 trillion will build 11,000km of world class roads at an expensive rate of 1 billion per kilometer. That is equivalent to building 18 super expressways from Lagos to Port Harcourt. Every FG road in Nigeria should have been paved with that amount of money.

--- 11 Trillion would have built 4000km of world class high speed railways criss crossing nigeria at 3.5billion Naira per km. Jonathan built the Abuja Kaduna railway at $5.3million per KM= ABOUT N1.6 BILLION/KM)

--- 11 trillion will build 110 state of the art supersonic hospitals at 100 billion Naira per hospital. That is 1 super healthcare center per senatorial district.

I am tired. I only just want Buhari to tell us what they did with the 11 Trillion naira that was added to Nigeria's debt profile between 2015 and 2018.

Hmmmmm!!!

If you watch Dangote’s recent video with Strive Masiyiwa in Singapore, Dangote said in year 2000 before he started manufacturing cement, he approached Lafarge and offered them a partnership where Lafarge would manufacture cement for him and brand it Dangote for a 30% stake.

They wanted a majority stake of 51%.Dangote Pleaded for 30%. Lafarge walked away. The rest is history.
PoliticsRe: 2019: I'll Support Buhari’s Re-election Bid - Pastor Tunde Bakare by PapaBrowne(m): 6:59am On Apr 10, 2018
Orji Uzor Kalu using his voice to tell Buhari that his salary is due.

There is a reason I don’t buy newspapers anymore or watch Nigerian newspapers.

Sun Newspapers-Orji Uzor Kalu
The Nation Newspapers- Bola Tinubu
Punch Newspapers-Bola Tinubu
This day- Nduka Obiagbena

And the list goes on. They are all mouthpieces of politicians.

I watched Tunde Bakare’s video where this article was taken from and I can tell you categorically that it was a scathing criticism of the current government.

PoliticsRe: Okowa On Projects Commissioning Spree In Warri by PapaBrowne(m): 11:05pm On Apr 03, 2018
Okowa is the worst governor in Nigeria.

No single road has been constructed in Warri since he came to power. Asaba which is his senatorial district, only one road.

What the guy has done with all the money that accrues to Delta is just a mystery. Delta state is very unfortunate with leaders.
PoliticsRe: Like Leah Sharibu, Like Amasa Firdaus By Sirajudeen Abdulazeez Folayemi by PapaBrowne(m): 8:34am On Mar 28, 2018
The simple proof that this guy is a pathologically confused is that the Koran that the Firdaus lady stands for doesn’t actually allow here to practice as a lawyer. So instead of her to study Sharia law. She should go and study Sharia.

Making a terrible comparison of this sort just proves how depraved so folks are.

PoliticsRe: Nobody Is Concerned About This Country - Gov. Obaseki Fires FG (VIDEO) by PapaBrowne(m): 11:59am On Feb 17, 2018
Obaseki is a new type of leader in Nigeria.
Highly intelligent guy with a very clear vision of where he is taking Edo state.

He is not a typical politician.

Obaseki must have come from a humble beginning, hence the empathy.

Adeu David
Interestingly, no.

The Obaseki family is one of the wealthiest in Benin and are well known since the days of the British Invasion of the kingdom. So no he didn’t come from a humble background.
He is just one wonderful humble person. Very unusual for a Nigerian politician.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Inspects 450 MW Azura Independent Power Plant In Benin (Photos) by PapaBrowne(m): 8:15am On Feb 04, 2018
Desyner:
450MW in less than 25 months? Man! Fashola is really working . . . . . .

. . . . . . on projects started during GEJ's time.
Fashola has nothing to do with AZura please. AZura is a private project started in 2013 and was already more than 60% completed by 2015. If there is any politician that should be given credit for AZura, it is Governor Obaseki and maybe Oshiomhole to some extent.

Let me explain. AZura raised $1billion to build the power plant in 2012. The company that was the lead facilitator for the finance is Afrinvest. Afrinvest belongs to Governor Obaseki. All this happened 4 years before he became governor.
Now he is governor, he is building the N200 billion Benin Industrial Park in the same location as AZura and the goal is for AZura to provide the industries at the park with with 24 hr electricity. He is also building Gelegele seaport where the products manufactured at the park would shipped out to the rest of the world.

This is the guy that should get the credit if any politician should. It’s an entirely private project.

It’s like saying The minister of petroleum should take the credit for Dangote’s refinery.
PoliticsRe: Okowa Again 2019. by PapaBrowne(m): 11:37pm On Feb 03, 2018
No need for all this rubbish talk that nobody would read.

If Okowa has done anything tangible, all you need do is provide pictures of his works and everybody would appreciate.

But as it stands, promoters of Okowa like you know pretty well that Okowas Zero performance is indefensible as there are no pictures of any works he has done.
PoliticsRe: Okowa Says Asaba Int'l Airport To Be Ready In Four Months by PapaBrowne(m): 11:01pm On Feb 03, 2018
This guy is a terrible. The worst performing Governor in the entire country. Not a single road constructed in either Warri or Asaba. Not a single project despite all the billions.
His counterpart in Edo who has barely spent a year has more than 20 Times more than what Okowa has done in
Asaba airport that has long being completed and operating he is talking about awarding contract. Why not state what work is being done at the airport. What kind of useless leader is this??

Sadly most Nairalanders would not read this piece but would rather prefer to comment trash!

But in a way i think luck shun on him, cuz imagine if he had gone ahead ahead to aquire the company with thousands of staff, 6000bpd production capacity and the crashing oil prices of 2013-2017.
He probably wouldn't have sailed through
The only sensible comment I have seen.

Interesting piece. Young man with extreme business acumen. With this kind of mentality he would probably surpass his father.

I respect rich kids who try to build for themselves and not just wait on thier parents.

And yeah, he actually was fortunate not to have bought the field. Oil prices crashed not long after.
PoliticsRe: Duke/adesina Running Under Apga/3rd Force Should Defeat Buhari Easily by PapaBrowne(m): 1:16pm On Jan 29, 2018
I think it would be difficult to sell a Ticket of that nature given that both candidates are Christians and Southerners. Nigerians havent gotten that sophisticated.

The Ticket to watch in 2019 would have Dangote in the mix with either Donald Duke, Tony Elumelu or Okonjo Iweala. And that ticket would sweep the entirety of Nigeria like the Abiola mandate.

Its going to happen and its all playing out.

I wonder the stuff that is in your brain. Nobody is colonizing anybody my brother. Its all about industrialization and job creation.

Obaseki is doing great, kudos to him. Just one year in office; whaoh!
Obaseki is really doing great. The plans this guy has for the state is just amazing. He is acting like Edo State is a country.

Just amazing. Edo state has so much potential and it now has I think the best governor in the country who is very ready to harness those potentials.

Yoh wouldnt recognize Edo State in the next 4 years!
