Politics / Re: Nigeria To Export Yam To U.S. And U.K. On June 29 by PapaBrowne(m): 8:40pm On Jun 22, 2017
I don't understand why this guy is celebrating this.
People have been exporting yams to Europe and America for ages. Why are they suddenly making it look like this is the beginning.

I get orders for container loads of Yams regularly.

What this guy should be focusing on instead is how to ensure that the quality parameters required to export Agro produce are met by farmers. Also, they should ensure that the Port folks stop being a hindrance to entrepreneurs seeking to export products overseas!
Politics / Re: Port Harcourt, Bonny Ports At Stake If Igbos Choose Biafra Referendum by PapaBrowne(m): 6:34pm On Jun 22, 2017
I am coming with a response and it's a lesson in strategy.
@igbodefender

I was formerly a supporter of the SS being a part of the Biafra movement until I started coming across threads like this.

From my observation, IPOB has become an emotional organization that doesn't understand the concept of strategic alliances as the most important tool in winning a cause for the long term.

When you have an organization that has chosen that Biafra is solely IBO both in Language, positions and culture and yet at the same time tell you that the 10 million Efik and Ibibio people are under Biafra, then you know that some people don't understand the strategy of execution!

Suddenly Port Harcourt is Igweocha and Bonny is Igwenga in a land where Kalabaris, Ogonis, Ijaws, Ikwerres, Ndonis and a host of other people have called home for centuries.

Isnt it obvious that you are offending the people you should be courting and seeking strategic alliances with? It's a no brainer. It's blanket failure for Biafra already. Nobody that operates a theory of exclusion is ever successful in battle. Even the US when it has to go to War with small and powerless countries like Afghanistan builds a coalition of countries both small and mighty. They understand the importance of inclusive strategy.

There is too much emotion in the Biafra movement and I'm sad that it will cause another round of failure. Ojukwus biggest mistake was his attempt to force non Igbo into Biafra without them having a true stake in the decision making process and that failed strategy is beginning to repeat itself.

Telling the people of Niger Delta that there is nothing like Niger Delta or South South is a slap on a people who have chosen to represent thier minority status by a common identity. Giving the people of the Niger Delta the impression that a Biafra country would be an Igbo country is a reminder to them of how Nigeria has largely been a Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo country.

It's time for IPOB and the Biafra movement to shed the toga of emotionalism and read the art of war to all its members who don't understand that this is not a jamboree but a mission in which thier errors can cause the loss of lives of millions upon millions of people and another century of domination by the North and its supporters.

Just so you know, the North has studied the topography and are waiting patiently to instigate a crisis between the minorities of the South South and the Igbos of the South East and IPOB is giving them more than enough fodder with all this Igweocha Igwenga nonsense. And suddenly a battle that you assumed would be between The North and Igbos would suddenly be happening in Port Harcourt between Igbos and Ikwerres.

Be wise!

Politics / Re: Biafra: The Bitter Truth by PapaBrowne(m): 11:06am On Jun 22, 2017
Your points are OK and good.

But you failed to address any of the core issues.

Have you asked yourself why Igbos, who actually happen to be the most successful tribe in Nigeria at least economically are so bent on leaving the Nigerian state? Do you ask yourself why a group of people that actually own property across the country wouldn't mind foregoing all that just to be on their own?

Truthfully, Igbos have been the most patriotic Nigerians. They are the only ones that go across the nation and mix freely with the indigenous host communities and transact their business in the most remote locations. And they did all this despite the batterings they received during the civil war. Look at our national sports teams on all levels and you'll find a disproportionately high representation of the Igbo. Look at Nollywood, its disproportionately Igbo.
They rose from 20 pounds each after the civil war to literally owning half the banks in Nigeria, half the industries in Nigeria and and anywhere in the region of 80% of import trading in Nigeria.

M point is the have contributed immensely to the Nigerian nation despite the marginalization the have been put through in the last four decades.

Now what do they get in return? Yorubas continually pushing motions that make them feel constricted in Lagos which realistically is a federal capital territory. Hausas going on killing sprees on the whim of simple things like loosing elections or a cartoon by a foreign journalist. Boko Haram bombing atrocities and now the latest; The Fulani militia that has been unleashed on the entirety of the Christian South.

Now genuinely and sincerely, an you address these issues raised? You sef, are you not tired of the mess?

And by the way, I'm not Ibo. I am proudly Edo.

I like development and I commend the visionaire behind the project.

However, dude should have done a proper feasibility study with a rock solid business plan.

Why spend so much to building an edifice when you haven't spent a kobo on the medical research center itself.

The building would more likely end up an abandoned project and that's because the executor of the project is probably more interested in an ego trip than on bringing about a viable medical research center

The only reason android phones are more popular than iPhones is affordability. If you use an iPhone you'll never go back to android.

I have tried android phone once and in such a short time I dumped it. User Experience is wack.

The same reason why Kia Rio is more popular than Gwagon is same reason Android phones are more popular than iPhone

1 billion Naira for 100 hectares??

That is failure from the very beginning.

That means 10 million Naira for planting a hectare.

How much Can you earn from an hectare of Banana that your planting cost alone is already 10 million Naira per hectare?

The way government entities call figures ehn?

I have a farm that's more than 100 hectares and nowhere near that amount was spent to get it running!

With this kind of faulty business plan from day 1, how do you get to compete with big players who have thousands of thousands of hectares in Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia and the likes!

These leaders, make una small small dey call these figures them!

Early this year, the village caught a man they suspected to be a kidnapper. The young man who could speak fluent English said he has been sleeping in the bush for two weeks because the motor he boarded to Abuja from Lagos had an accident. Can you imagine.

He was handed over to Ehor police division.

I don't understand? He was a kidnapper because he could speak English? And was sleeping in the bush? That's not enough to conclude.

As per the herdsmen, we need a smarter approach to this issue oh. I'm thinking of starting up a Farmers Guild in Edo State where we would deploy smart solutions both to gather info on the herdsmen and also ward of potential attacks using technological apparatus like drones.

The terrible mindset that caused the failure of Biafra in 1967 is about to repeat itself.

That mindset is an aggressive one that suggests that whether the South South likes it or not, the destination must be the Biafra.

What's wrong with a dialogue that crafts a new destination for the collective of the entirety of the SS+SE?
Biafra is an emotional issue for Igbos mainly as a result of the war in 1967. Most South South tribes don't have that emotional connection.
