How will our policy makers ever realise the disgrace of buying education from foreign countries if all we do is congratulate them when they do it.

Of course I'm not referring to you directly but I'm thinking out loud of how much disrespect we take from our government.
I think they tested the waters well and succeeded. When I saw how Buhari and his cabinet posted pictures of their children graduating and we took it without any problem, I knew they flew the kite successfully. They even celebrated when ASUU was on strike sad I wish the children no evil but since they went to school, they have sense I assume. Are they okay with what their parents dohuh A good name is better than____ As a parent, it is not enough to have money, the examples you show will be a signpost for your children in the future.
Look at Bwala saying the President can rule from anywhere after 17 years of what we went through during Yar Adua and his sickness.

When I was listening to the news and they said that because the Governor is in US, they cannot finish the Olubadan rites, I was asking, what is he doing in U.S.huh I didn't even know this was it. Now that I am seeing this, why couldn't he then handover to his deputy while he is away on private affairshuh Is his daughter's graduation more important than state affairshuh The law allows you to enjoy yourself but follow due process. I thought Oyo people claim to be politically savvy.

This was the same governor that went to sign Shell deal in UK. And they say he wants to be President sad

I don't blame him, Buhari celebrated his children abroad. His VP and ministers were splashing pictures abroad when their CHILDREN graduated. To all those who bring lame excuses of he had money before he became a governor, there is something called perception. Perception is an art of governance. Foreign politicians go abroad to do vacation. They never post the pictures except it is a leak. Know this and have sense. When you are in charge of tax payers money, you have to apply some wisdom to your behaviour in public while you're there.

I don't think so. Why do you think alimony exists in lawhuh

A women may be okay with no man in her life, she can take care of the family perfectly but once a man is in that life, and he expects to be lazy and pampered, he is in trouble. He is a burden. No woman wants a burden in her life.

Health is bae. It's the most underrated benefit we have. I don't take it for granted.

Romance › Re: "World's Best Divorce Lawyer" Shares The Roots Of All Marriage Problems by papyjaypaul:
He continued: “I see a tremendous number of divorces when husband and wife are both working and the husband loses his job… it sends them spiralling into a depression.

"They’ve lost this job and it’s of how they define themselves in the traditional masculine gender role – a provider and a protector.”

James continued: “I’ve seen a lot of women that when their spouse loses the job and they become the breadwinner, they find that very unappealing.”

While women are happy with a husband who is a breadwinner, or even an economic equal, James believes the idea of looking after a man financially is very “uncomfortable” for a lot of wives.

He added: “I would love it if they kept statistics on these kinds of things but I can tell you in my practice I've seen plenty of women lose their jobs, and it has no impact on the marriage. When men lose their job in a heterosexual male-female marriage it has disastrous consequences a great deal of the time.”
I agree with him on the last part. Women don't only date higher, they marry up and manage at par. Go lower, go away.

A man who cannot provide is not admirable, only his mom can manage him. His wife will leave him if it becomes a permanent deal.

Men must help men when they see he is responsible. Most times, money goes to the woman. Her money is her money, his money is everyone's money. Men find it hard to give themselves money but they can give the mother out of pity. If a man is out of money for 1 week or 1 year, the whole world will hear about it. No one will pity a man who cannot make it in life, they will call him lazy and different names. There is no mercy for men in this world even though it is a man's world. Men work to spend on women.

I urge all men to help other men, if you want to help, help a way that will empower the man or relieve him of some hardships. That's the bro code smiley

Romance › Re: Before You Go Into Marriage With Any Man, Please Taste The Male Organ To Know... by papyjaypaul: 4:07pm On May 20, 2024
You are not carnal but Justice Stella Justice, there is morality and there is law. The law you quote says fornication is not illegal, the morality of the society says it's illegal.

Traditionally, the family will find out and that is why the family stays with you on the first night. That is the night they will know who is a virgin and who cannot perform, they will know whether marriage rites are complete or not but we condemn our culture for being too invasive and collect oyinbo one. Oyinbo encourage premarital sex and the use of comdom, now we have people calling girls ashawo, olosho and all names but they want to put their d1ck in the same holes. They want to enjoy sex but they don't want to wife her. Marriage is no longer something to look forward to since you can enjoy without marriage. Marriage and the family institution is one of the tested and trustes ways Africans used to hold the society to standards. You cannot just sleep with people anyhow and if you do, it is not something you are proud of. It is kept as a private affair to maintain dignity.

What do people do now? Get tested by doctors before marriage. I think our traditions have always had ways of taking care of these things until we adapted white man's law who tells us premarital sex is not illegal. You see the resulthuhBaby mama and useless fathers, abandoned kids

There is no need to argue about what is right and wrong, we will all see it.

The desire to have a child but avoid the natural way of bringing one by some gay couples is a mockery of natural intelligence.

When homo men have sex, why does one person bend down?

Killing of twins was normal in some parts of the world and Blacks were seen as less than not to talk about how women were always seen to be hysterical and diagnosed as a mental illness, it's like you don't know what science is and how it evolves
Killing of twins was normal but Nigeria has a UNESCO heritage for twins

Women were diagnosed as mental illness, not in Nigeria. I am happy they just made the movie about Funmilayo Ransome Kuti and you know a bit about Aba Women who the British killed. You will know that she is more than the first woman to drive a car. If our women were seen as mental and to be hidden, why were they able to do what they did? Go and find out when those women from their own country started voting. Go and find out how Africans used to marry and how women started using men's last name because Europeans considered marriage as trade and she is identified as the property of the man. Here, we never used to do that until colonisation and British practises brought up the change of surname. Have you asked why we use Mama Nkechi, Omo Ajayi and other forms in identifying peoplehuh You remain the child of your father and not the property of the husband or his family but look how we have changed today. Mate, don't be fooled. Women have always had power and honor in Africa. It's foreign people who came to take it away and now, women think they are fighting for rights they once had. They even foolishly say our culture is patriachial but they don't know their own history. They only know what the white man told them, what he wrote for them and what he put in their education to make them hate themselves. Where did the African man learn how to treat women like property, who taught himhuh Were women in the past foolish to honor their men, and this is when more than 1 woman was married to a man. i mean this is not even today where men are now becoming proud of bringing bastards to earth and women are happy not to have a father for their kids.

Is it the same Brithsh who called our men foolish because they honored women and gave them places in markets and councilhuh

You really need history lessons for this part. Do you think the Arab influence we have in Africa is a mistakehuh And the same Arabs are now called out in Sudanhuh Read the South African story to know who has empathy and conscience.

Do you know how to learn about history? Visit Museums especially Nigerians who like to travel abroad. You'll be surprised about what you have that they are keeping and you pay for it.

Many Africans have an identity problem and it is because they don't know their history. This is why Nigerians defend religion with all their chest, Muslims or Christians. They want to be more Arab than the land of these religions and they think in Western ways because the education and TV they watch are what the West wants to guide you on how to think. The worst thing to happen to any man is not to have any identity. He losese his essence of being and sees his existence on earth as unworthy. So what do you suggest?

He sits down like a donkey and allows Wike and all his LGA Chairmen and Assembly members continue to call his names like mumu,. kindergarten, small governor..
And continue to override him and threaten him with impeachment?

In the beginning he was very quiet and didn't attack back but he has seen that at the current rate he might even be threatened not to fucckk his wife or he'd be impeached...

What do you want Sim to do?

Remember Wike started all this,,, everything was fine or fair at least, until assembly started mobilizing to impeach him after only 6 months in office.

Haba!

Even Ambode's case wasn't as bad as that.
I think the person you quoted also forgot that APC in Rivers State still has Amaechi and co.

The problem with the Wike game is scratch your back and I scratch yours.

We are made to believe Wike delivered Rivers to APC in the last Presidential election. Against his party.

He was rewarded with FCT Minister post and he was to learn the art of godfatherism from Tinubu. They didn't tell him that Fashola got a 2nd term through good performance and Tinubu didn't want someone else to have a better record than him against his journey to Presidency. The story started changing that he knows how to select good people. They said he is Guardiola Of All Talents. Ambode saw the real message. Let's leave that aside because in 2027, Tinubu will have his Lagos to worry about, Rivers and Kano state. He will have to strike different deals and while he has the power, the others will have something to bait with because he needs them more than they need him. All the issues Tinubu had with Fashola was not made public so it really helped Tinubu to respect him. It's dangerous signalling when your protege comes out to fight you outside. That's what Ambode did.

Now Sim has not even done 1 year he is already giving Wike problems. Wike is only of value to President if he can control his base and this worries him a lot. Sim has nothing to lose, it is both APC at the Presidency and Wike who will lose but guess who will be happyhuh APC at Rivers State, Amaechi faction and PDP. APC will do anything to get Rivers State, including causing confusion in Rivers but PDP showed in the last meeting that they owned the state. Wike will be the ultimate loser in this gameand it can affect President Tinubu for the next election but alliances can be formed based on who has the real power.

Look at the sitting arrangement at last PDP NEC meeting. It was a show of how power is transient. A cabinet Minister was put in his place. He is not a popular option in APC and PDP is playing the long game with him. With time, he will br humbled. Tinubu wants to reshuffle his cabinet and Wike's space is blocking 'rewards'. Wike is dispensable. Sim has the advantage right now because Rivers is a state of different interests that you cannot just have your way witb them.

Politics › Re: Lauretta Onochie: Atiku Stepping Down For Obi Will Make Tinubu’s Reelection Easy by papyjaypaul: 6:51am On May 19, 2024
membranus:
All of you arguing are overlooking one glaring glitch in the merger talk. Will the matadors in PDP allow their party to merge with LP?

Will Wike support this, or Seyi Makinde or any other PDP chief politicians from the North?

Are not many PDP chieftains nurturing presidential ambition too in 2027, even if it is just to show face? Therefore will they shelve their own ambition and allow Obi to be their candidate?

So to me, this PDP/LP merger is dead on arrival.
That's where YOU miss it too. There's nothing Governors will do again that will come as a surprise. We have all seen what g5 did and what was the result? Wike being a boy boy to Tinubu. They need him for the next election. We are missing the point that Obi performed well without the might of the governors. Governors always want to determine everything but they had no influence in Obi's popularity and they knew this. We are gradually getting to a state where parties must now be stronger than the men because Nigerians see there's no difference in the parties. The last election also taught them that independent candidates can be strong if people like him which is what Obi did. If he goes to ZLP, they see what he can do even if he does does not win. That is the same thing Kwankanso did. Why not support a popular candidate the people like instead of forcing ourselves on them? These people just want access to power more than anything. It's not really the love of the people in their analysis.

Again, people say Tinubu defeated Buhari, Osinbajo amd everyone with power but they expect that he will or he can also not be defeated because he is an incumbenthuh People got tired of PDP in 2015 and APC marketing caught onto that and people chose Buhari despite his record as a military ruler and he entered. APC may likely be in that same scenario in 2027 because what more can they prove after 12 yearshuhSee finish will enter. Again, it doesn't matter if Obi lost before..Buhari won the 4th time after the merger against a sitting President who spent 1 term in office. Don't forget that Goodluck was also seen as stealing Yar Adua's turn of the North so the emotional blackmail was much.

Tinubu is not god and he is not invisible..When he tried going against Fashola in 2007, he heard voices. By 2027, alliances in Lagos will be moving to another Lagos governor. While Tinubu fights for another term, things are shaping up in Lagos. He doesn't have Rivers yet, Kano is loud. He has a lot of enemies who still want to repay him. He can't totally rely on the so-called North and each group wants a share of the power. All politicians are selfish. If the North gathers behind Obi, it's because they want someone who will lay the ground and do the work for them. There are also alliances to change who leads from the North and the way Buhari wanted a successor, some people already want to prevent Tinubu from having that power. All are after their selfish desires.

When you get married, you have 4 women in your life. Your mother, her mother, if they are alive, your wife and your sisters. Women will play their emotional game, it is you as a man that must let them know who you are. If you don't do this, they will use you the way they want to, for their own gain. I am not against women but I am just telling you how it works. What they will come to know about you is your personality, what you can take and what you cannot take. That is how your wife will first know you and she will tell her mom and other women .

Politics › Re: Nigerians Mob Peter Obi Onboard A Plane For Selfies (Video) by papyjaypaul:
papyjaypaul:
Obi has to give APC concerns because he is doing what Tinubu was doing 2015-19 when Buhari was there. Tinubu doesn't have time for that now as he is already on seat. With so much enemies he has gathered during the years, I won't be surprised if all his enemies are ready to give him a taste of his own medicine during Jonathan's time. It was easier to ignore Buhari than Tinubu. It is clear to see that APC has no plan and just the way Jonathan was in the helm of affairs when Nigerians were frustrated with PDP, the same thing could happen with Tinubu at APC.

Obi declared that he has his eyes set on the next elections and if you study Nigerian politics, anyone that prepares this early will be a serious contender in the elections. Most political players don't declare their intention until 1 year to the polls. This Obi guy is actively wetting the ground.
Buhari had his base and cult following. ACN, CPC, nPDP and ANPP political alliance helped him.

Tinubu had his base and political alliances. Even though he lost his Lagos base, the political alliance with the North and Rivers was still able to help him.

Kwankaso had the Kano base that won him Kano.

Atiku had the PDP base because it had always been a political party whether he was the popular candidate or not.

Obi had a base, the shortest we have ever seen towards an election and still came third. He also has a strong following. It is something to worry about because along the line, he will become stronger. Going by the election result, this President did not win by majority vote and adding PDP + LP votes could easily have taken him out.
This is why the APC is not relenting on attacking Obi's personality and demarketing him. It is dangerous to have a serious alternative and they would prefer to have a weak opposition than one people naturally admire. If you know how much politicians spend on PR, Online bots, TV, social media, campaign people and crowds that can make them look popular, you will understand that Obi remains a big threat no matter what is written here.

They can abuse him and write about him, it doesn't change anything. They are only doing their online job. Plenty was written about Buhari and the baboon blood or fanatic story,he still won. Plenty was written about Tinubu, his tax company, certificates and he still won. So if they write about Obi and any negative thing, it doesn't change anything about political analysis. Popularity is a political currency and it is hard to get it when you are nowhere near government or have no political office, Obi is enjoying that at a highly subsidized price. FREE
