KingAfo:I have booster can and dry kibble. I mix the can and dry. Sometimes the dry and eggs, fish head, chicken head or feet. For calcium, i grind egg shells and sprinkle on her food. (I have done this for all my dogs). If i give her only dry kibble she will just eat small and loose interest. I have to mix it up. I will be updating this thread as she grows. She may get her first sire through Nairaland and i may sell her offsprings here too, so i am open to more ideas to make her grow beautifully. |
Today is the 2nd week with Zee. She came into my home at 7weeks old, tomorrow she will be 9weeks old. So far, she eats well, only dry kibble was a challenge earlier. She is taller, i dont think she is fat enough (maybe my eyes). She is quite big boned, and her paws are large, so i guess she will grow big. She is getting to know her name, and sit when asked. Zee started barking quite early, she growls and moans alot, like she is talking to. Today, while giving her food, i decided to mix her kibble with some soup, the soup was quite pepperish. After the first taste, she stopped and started barking and growling at the food, before devouring it. It was quite funny. Here are pictures taken today, your comments are welcome. Abeg make una no derail my thread.... And no adverts pls.

Things are harder now, a man has to hustle twice as hard to pay bills, fees, rent.... He leaves home sometimes before sunset and gets home at night, he only see his kids asleep from monday - friday. In my fathers time things were very different; i see him before i go to school, (sometimes we have breakfast together), he comes home by 4pm, we eat supper together as a family, we watch TV together and i tell him good night when its my bed time. A good mother will always let her kids know how hard their father has to work to provide for them. Its up to her to make it possible for the kids to bond with their dad whenever he is home. A good father will also find time in his busy schedule to be a dad to his kids. The world of today is very different from yesterday, a child can grow up into someone good or bad without the parents intervention. The internet and TV has totally changed things. In my time there was no TV until 4pm and no TV after 12am. |
AlexB300:If we have a Bugatti Veyron in Nigeria despite our fcukd up roads what is American Bully XL? |
Blackalaja:I lost one of my Rottweiler pups while trying to rid her off ticks. I later found out that the pour-on (cant remember the name)prescribed by my vet wasnt good for certain breeds. The most natural, safest way to rid your dog and environs off ticks is to have a chicken/ chickens. They eat ticks, and if both animals bond together the chicken will even groom the dog and pick the ticks off your dog. |
Lovely dog there. |
Not just Hushpuppi, many politificiains ate in places like this some years back.... Even called places like this home! But look where they are today. |
If Julius Berger has been contracted, then they will deliver.... If they dont deliver, hold FG responsible |

Castration is not regarded as animal cruelty. The way its carried out, maybe yes. In advanced countries (America & Europe) its called "neutering" while bitches are "spayed"; removal of female reproductive organs. Dogs in shelters are neutered and spayed by law and if you live in big cities where dog breeding is controlled, it is a mandatory to neuter/ spay. |
You should have cropped the ears. Its what i call confused ears because, Caucasians have flappy ears while GSD have standing ears. |
IamAnderson:I pray its only that ball she destroys... Lol |
Potty training (house training) began from day one with good results. For those who dont know what it is; it means training your dog where and when to defecate, because all that food and poop has to go somewhere. Its very tedious but rewarding at the end. Puppies eat 3 to 4 times a day and will defecate twice as much. This is what i do; in the morning take the dog to a designated poop area, wait for it to do its thing, then praise her for it. After her first meal take her to that same spot in 10minutes time she will go again, praise her... Do thesame thing after every meal. The idea is that a dog will want to pee/urine after waking up, after everymeal, after playing. If you want to keep your dog indoors, take it out every 2hrs(puppies cant hold it long yet) to thesame spot. The dog will smell the area and know its a defecating spot. Remember to praise/give treats after it defecates in her area. As she grows it will poop less and can hold it longer until u take it to its poop area. Today i also start teaching her simple tricks like sit before i give her a meal and how to fetch a ball. So far she learnt to fetch almost immediately, but sitting is work in progress.

For good growth she will be fed on booster can and dry food, mixed with whatever nutritious meal i get my hands on. Guys your contributions on alternative feeding will be appreciated. I will keep this thread updated as she grows up to become a beauty. I know she isnt 100% pure but she does look muscular and physically appealing. Ur comments, ratings, advice will be welcomed.

This is my first Boerboel, after owning a Caucasian mix (late) and a Rottweiler (sold). Her name is Zee, and she is 7weeks old. A little skinny but i believe some love and a lot of quality food will change that. FROM SMALL TO BIG & BEAUTIFUL
The Presidency says the ongoing interrogation of the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, is to clear him of weighty allegations leveled against him. A presidency source, who preferred not to be named, told State House correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday, July 7; that the probe of Magu was an affirmation that nobody under “the present administration is above scrutiny’’. The source, who could neither confirm nor deny the suspension of Magu as reported by traditional and social media outfits; maintained that the investigation of the EFCC boss was to reinforce the Buhari administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability. He affirmed that the holder of an elevated office such as the chairman of the EFCC must be above suspicion. Also Read: Ada Karl cries out after she was declined US link According to the source, the Buhari administration would not prejudge anyone because it can be counted on to uphold justice and fairness. The source said: “The panel investigating allegations against the Acting EFCC Chairman had been sitting for some weeks now. “In consonance with the principle of fairness and justice; it was needful that the Acting Chairman be given the opportunity to respond to the allegations, which are weighty in nature. “Under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, nobody is above scrutiny. The investigation is to reinforce transparency and accountability, rather than to vitiate it. “Accountability for our actions or inactions is an inalienable part of democracy. In such an elevated position as that of EFCC Chairman, the holder of the position must be above suspicion. “There’s no prejudgment — absolutely none. The Buhari administration can be counted on to uphold fairness and justice at all times.” A presidency source had earlier confirmed that Magu was on Tuesday afternoon suspended from office; following the ongoing investigation by the presidential panel, headed by retired Justice Ayo Salami.
If true then all this should have been done before giving him the appointment. Medicine after death. If only the DSS report was considered, this international disgrace would have been avoided. All EFCC Chairmen have been unceremoniously expelled, and all came from the NPF. I wonder why Nigerians cant find credible people from credible Agencies to hold such credible positions. |
Selling what you dont know. Well, it happens in autos section too. |
Its best kept in the hands of foreigners. They will preserve it longer than we can. In a 100yrs it will still look new, and it will still be described as a Nigerian artefact regardless of where or who its with. Thesame way Nigeria would have still remained in foreign hands. We would have been better of! |
If u r trying to chase out a particular snake, use bitter kola. Chew or grind some and sprinkle it in the suspected area. Snakes and bitter kola no dey blend. |
