OSADNA009:While they are strong dogs, Huskies do not make good guarding dogs because they rarely or may never bark, they prefer to howl, like wolves. There are more than ten dogs that should take its position. Pls, learn more about them; https://huskyowner.com/do-huskies-bark/ |
I stayed in this country |
A visit to Nairaland shows how disunited and hateful the 3 major ethnic groups are in this country. All this hate make me so proud to be amongst the hateless minority |
carsnazi:Wouldnt no. 2 wreck your transmission? |
Get him a dog that will require little exercise needs, will always be by his side and also guard him. How old is he? How healthy and strong is he? Some old men still enjoy going for walks, tend their garden etc others are too old for walks or have weak joints. Our local dog can be a very good companion for an old man. Little to no health problems, easy to train and very loyal. But if the local dogs are not a thing for you, get him a bull mastiff. They require little exercise and can sleep by your leg all day. |
So this is news!! Almost every household in the west will gift a ps5 this xmas. |
Fortunately Fela's experiment was a success! Everything you are is owed to your father. |
durubrian:Food aggression starts as puppies struggle for food. Try and feed it directly from your hands, especially dry food. The puppy will grow knowing your hands as a provider of food and not a taker. This has worked for my Cauc, Rott and Boerboel. When my hand get closer to their plate they stop eating, expecting my hands to replenish their plate, and not a single growl. As someone long ago told me that if a dog licks your feet, its a sign of submission. So for fun i also put dry food in between my toes and watch as its licked off my feet. Remember to wash afterwards o! |
brain54:Its all about the scent and something else i cant explain, and it may vary with breeds. If it were a guy that dog will never forget him. Women carry different hairstyles, have different scents due to; haircream, body lotion, body spray and perfumes. There is a chance your sister smelt and looked totally different, dont blame the dog. Dogs can store alot of scents and they dont forget easily, only when sick or out old age. |
Just like a guy on another thread blaming the west/ CIA for sponsoring BH! We have been so oppressed and blinded by politificians that we dont know or refuse to hold those elected accountable for their actions/ inactions. |
This is a diary of my Female Boerboel. From 4weeks to 7months. She will be 8 months soon. https://www.nairaland.com/5985424/diary-zee-female-boerboel It is well documented with pictures every month of her growth. |
The best phone i ever used according to available technology at the time is HTC ONE M8! |
At about 7 months. Quite bigger than pictures say, still got alot more growing to do.
|
There is some boerboel blood in that dog, but OP should google "12 months old boerboel" and see for himself. Happy sales. |
After mentioning "911" i realized how he managed to survive. |
Reinapbunny:U made some sense but didnt answer the question "why people no dey eat this kind dogs"? Well from my own understanding and little research, there are many reasons and non is because of mental slavery! Nigeria is not the only dog eating country, we just have few dog eating communities unlike China, Vietnam, Indonesia.... The whole Asian continent! And it doesnt end there; Switzerland & parts of South America. They even have dog eating festivals! The dogs they eat are similar to our local mongrels, special breeds are eaten, not all (check wikipedia for more enlightenment). Our foreign/exotic breed (Rotts, GSD, Caucasians, Boerboels etc) are not on the menu due to parasitic worms, like the infamous Toxocara canis, which can result in blindness, myocarditis and respiratory failure. And also foreign/ exotic breeds where not created to fend for themselves and highly depend on medication to survive. These medications make the meat unfavourable for human consumption. Asians rank as highest dog eaters, but u will never see them eat their indigenous dogs (Chow chow, Akita, Tibetan mastiff, Tosa inu, sharpie etc). Those dogs were not created for eating, i hope u know man made dogs (all the various breeds) for various reasons and dogs made mongrels...lol. A mongrel is a dog without documented bloodline. Pictures all over the web show mongrels as preferred over pure working/herding/ or showline dogs, which are also more expensive and better used for something else but food. Is it wise buying a foreign dog just because you want to eat it when that same amount may get you a Ram or cow that has more meat & better nutritional value? Even abroad, pure breed aint cheap. Dog meat lacks nutritional value as goat, ram or cow, thats a fact! If a foreign dog is eaten, its not because the meat is a staple source, sweet or nutritious, but eaten for survival. After all its still an animal. Correction; a basenji is a breed of its own, an African breed with similar resemblance to the our local dogs but they are not thesame, a basenji is a "barkless dog" with curled up tails. They dont bark at all!

iamnen:Hi, where & how much did u get his cage? |
Rip to the dead. May ur killers know no peace. On a serious note, maybe its an indomie generation thing... Or i am just too old skool. But which one come be "curse you are"? Abi u be Yoda from starwars? If i where to pass away and my kids describe my death with humor and emojis i will definitely not rest in peace! I smell a fish. The cat fish on my table that is. |
Lovely looking mastiff |
The problem with Nigeria when it comes to food is; Transportation of goods. Storage of foods. When we solve the above issues, food will not be a problem anymore. We have land and capable labour. Egypt started storing grains thousands of years ago, i dont think we have food silos and storages.... and i am not talking of stored palliatives. |
Far Cry 5 Ghost Recon Wildlands Available for swap |
Lovely pup. I see he is gonna be staying indoors too. Keep us updated on he's growth, i am curious to see him fully grown. A slant back mastiff..... |
GMC terrain seems to be a problematic car, this is the second person i know with issues. Too bad, such a good looking ride. |
Anyone know where Boerboel appraisals are done in Abuja? I heard its done |
space9880:By tomorrow she will be 6months and 1week old, standing at 21 inches at the withers I have been waiting to take her measurements at 6 months because there is this puppy height prediction that can help estimate how tall a puppy will get. At 6 months multiply its height by 100 then divide the answer by 75, you should get an estimated height. Zee is predicted to get to 28inches when fully grown. |
gman55:Yeah, she just destroyed one. I only have a choke chain i use for her walks, i will need a very strong collar, because on her own collars dont last! |
Chilling out!
|
Zee is a lil over 6 months, just as tall as my previous dog, a Rottweiler! The bones are past the tender stages now, time to get physical. I try to walk her 3-4 times a week... Not good enough. Tire pulling is a sport for dogs like weight lifting is for us humans, so since i am not able to meet up with adequate walks i hooked her up to a tire for some tire pulling fun... At first it was strange for her, i left her with the tire to first get acquainted . Then i used treats and commands to motivate her. After pulling for a straight line i will command ger to sit then praise and give treats.I do need a proper harness though, that chain no be am. ![]() |
The fear of our youths is the beginning of wisdom. If a young sophisticated man can do this then i rather wait for our leaders of next tomorrow. |
How old is he? Its a little hard to tell the percentage. But i see a good head there, short muzzle. The dogs age will tell alot, but if he is; Below 6 months, then he is ok Above 6 months, then you need to improve on feeding. |
Is the screen fixed? An earlier post of this ride was advertised with a faulty display. N2.7 mill, if all is good |
