OdenigboAroli: Abagworo said Rochas has rehabilitated over 200 schools....Now,I wanna see the gaddenm result or you Rochas bootlickers should shut your mouth for life and never you APC goons compare Obi to any living man in Nigeria....Peter Obi is the greatest Nigerian Alive. With or without Obi, it would be exactly the same. Without Orji, Abia is still number 2. These successes are recorded in spite of government. |
Certificates issued by University College Ibadan bore the name of the parent school: University College London. Certificates issued by UNN bore the name University of Nigeria It was not until a few years later that University College Ibadan was renamed to University of Ibadan. This makes University of Nigeria the first indigenous university in Nigeria. |
^ That's cheering news, really. Anambra mgbe niine...o ginidi! ![]() Very soon, Enugu will dethrone Anambra for good. Just 5 more steps and it will happen... (Biko, Chino, na joke oh...lol) |
University College, Ibadan was a campus of the University College, London. University of Nigeria Nsukka was the first indigenous University in Nigeria. If you understand the words used, there shouldn't be any argument. |
OdenigboAroli: Seriously,OkorochaOkorocha's APGA was accorded equal rights, dignity and respect even by the Yoruba party. Obi's APGA has become the tool for cash-and-carry politics. Even treated as a leper by PDP. Okorocha's APGA lives within APC Obi's APGA died a shameful death, wretched, unwanted and unloved. LOL |
modhream: Lots of nitwits on here. You have no point! Is that enough to usurp another party's candidate? PDP nurtured and groomed GEJ, and now, out of the blues, APGA wants to share glory for PDP's efforts. That act is wrong on all fronts. There are many Igbo technocrats APGA can nurture and groom, rather than impersonate PDP. Even if there's no candidate to support, they could have quietly gone to restrategize and save themselves this fiasco. I hope the litigation will cost them their last kobo! |
It's been a steady downhill slope for APGA since Okorocha left the party. The party has now hit rock bottom. RIP APuGA! |
Thanks |
adahib: My brother the wahala too much abeg.I don't know why you Drs are willing to give up what makes you unique. If the OP must adopt the title, he has to specify just how much of a doctor he is, for instance: 2/5 Dr Theodarl Ebelechukwu Aderibigbe. That fraction must not be omitted! |
Conversations (Three hours of intense arguments later) Patient: Oh I see, you do have a certain inalienable claim to the title Dr Pharmacist: Phew! I'm glad you now understand. Patient: A quick question though. Did you take courses in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology? Pharmacist: Oh yes indeed. I most certainly did. Patient: Pharmacology and Pathology? Pharmacist: Pharmacology, yes. Pathology ermmmm Patient: Obstetrics? Gynecology? Pediatrics? Public Health? Pharmacist: Ermmmmm Patient: Medicine? Surgery? Pharmacist (infuriated): I get your point smarty-pants. Patient: How can you get my point when I haven't made it. In the strictest sense, the title Dr is open to any expert--even you. However, in the hospital there is already one who bears the title. So, your claim will be defined in relation to the real doctor as a benchmark. Considering you've taken 4 of 10 courses as him, I suppose we could call you two-fifth of a Dr Pharmacist: What the hell is 2/5 of a Dr? Patient: Exactly! What the hell is it? And who comes to the hospital requesting to see 2/5 of a Dr when he can be seen by all 5/5 of a Dr. So, sir, you see your argument has no leg to stand on. Whether with an illiterate Nigerian patient or an educated one, those desperate for the title Dr have no argument. Except of course they agree to be addressed as 2/5Dr Abc Xyz. |
Theodarl: I don't hv to tell u that the sky is blue on a sunny day. I hv not mentioned anything about my profession. Y would u assume I am a health worker? U hv just reacted like a regular physician. Maybe u r one. I think u should consult ur dictionary if u don't know the difference btw nomenclature n title. Dr is a title not a nomenclature. Other health proffesionals r addressed with the regular title Mr. If u r open minded and not biased u would agree that these other health proffessionals should be addressed as Dr not Mr because Dr according to English oxford dictionary is a person licenced to practise medicine. Eg. Nursing is medicine. It is a branch of modern medicine. A nurse that has graduated from the university n registered with the nursing council is licensed to practice nursing. In otherwords licensed to practise medicine in the field of nursing. Therefore should be addressed with the title Dr. The same goes for other health workers in other areas of medicine.Could you stop using those two words interchangeably? For your own good, that is. |
armadeo: So because a title is popular and respected but doesn't refer to you, you now want it at all cost.Heh heh heh Dude wants to be a Doctor at any cost! Pharmacists, Nurses, Medical lab scientists, radiographers and pretty much everyone else in healthcare (other than the Doctor)retain the title Mr. Note that 'Pharm' is not a title, 'Nurse' is not a title, 'Scientist' is not a title. They are all basically Mr ABC Xyz Now dude is trying to rationalize the use of the title Dr for these other disciplines. @OP: You can become either a Medical Doctor or an Academic Doctor. If you have earned the latter title, kindly return to the University where your services are needed and stop trying to create needless confusion for Nigerians. That patients frequent hospitals to see "real doctors" is not in doubt. Reckless use of that title will bring in confusion and anarchy, and even worsen your inferiority complex. For instance, consider this scenario: Patient: I want to see a Doctor Pharmacist: I'm a Doctor Patient (snorts derisively): No, I mean a real doctor. Pharmacist (visibly irritated): I won't let you put me down. Have you no idea that blah blah blah (he begins to chant Theodarl's post) Meanwhile, the real doctor is idling away, while the Pharmacist aka Theodarl is engaging a Bricklayer in a ferocious argument to prove he's a doctor) LOL Seriously, be content with what you are. BTW, I'm not a Doctor. |
This is really nice. I believe I passed this Conference center on my way to Onitsha via the Owerri-Onitsha highway. Even the artworks along that road are beautifully crafted. Kudos to Okorocha |
Innovator90: Why do you think we need another state carved out from an existing very functioning state? Enugu is functioning very well and developing, why do we need to balkanize it further? A lot of people might disagree with me... I don't want any new Igbo states created from existing states...makes no sense strategically!I'm often surprised when Igbos kick against state creation in today's Nigeria. For one thing, state creation will bring development nearer the grassroots. Anioma will pay better attention to Asaba, Adada will pay better attention to Nsukka and so on. Unfortunately, regionalism is dead... the confab also made no effort to resurrect it. In Nigeria of today, how much you get and how much weight you throw around ultimately depends on how many states you have. That's why the NW can bully the rest of the zones. And the homogenous SW with 6 states has a decided political advantage. If in the future we choose to return to regionalism, then I'll have no qualms about Igbo states forming a merger. But this present system will shortchange us if we opt for a merger. |
Why do we have two threads on the flooded Enugu Airport on the FP? Speaks volumes of the Mods' bias and Seun's hypocrisy a la "how do we end tribalism on NL"? And babyosisi's paradigm-shifting question yet unanswered. "Seun, can you handle the truth?" |
Khalessi: All this stuff can be forged after all she isn't from akwa ibom, she wasn't born there and she doesn't live there either but she represented them.why did she delete all the pics from her instagram? She is guilty! You've won the crown so take a chill pill cos by this time next year no one is gonna remember you.Bisola Mohammed isn't from Bayelsa Jane Ekanem isn't from Bauchi Angel Ineh isn't from Anambra Sara Jegede isn't from Ebonyi Zememoi Umoru isn't from Enugu Chinaza Ukatu isn't from Kebbi I can go on and on, but I believe you've seen the fallacy of your post. |
^ That was NTA's anthem back then. True, music is unifying. And football. |
stagger: So that crude Ojukwu is back. But why only Igbo men dey occupy that position naaa? From late Iwendu to Ojukwu to Mbah and back to Ojukwu. Na wa o!Your selective amnesia is spectacular. Somehow, you failed to remember it was DCP Olusola who was Force PRO before handing over to Mba barely 2 years ago. This is the sort of half-knowledge that fuels tribalism on this forum. |
IGBOSON1: ^^^They should ask the silly woman to write a 10 page report on: 'How to sit your fat arsse down in one place when you suspect you may have ebola'!Heh heh heh The lady claims that she panicked. A desperate young wife face to face with her own impending death, the so-called "feeling of impending doom" took the better of her. We now know/always knew women are less likely to handle their emotions as efficiently as men. |
A friend working at IDH Lagos has informed me that the much talked-about Enugu nurse again tested negative to Ebola yesterday. This implies there's no Ebola in Enugu, and the 6 persons under surveillance in Enugu will soon be off the list. |
OdenigboAroli: You are simply bitter because if you aren't you wont bring this crime matter into it.I couldn't understand a word you wrote! But I sense you were trying to lead me to an epiphany in which case I'll have you know I don't care what you think. If Chino (your more confrontational alterego) comes with another subtextual jab, or a veiled insult, he'll hear from me in like measure. |
Chino72: Your core problem is complex and it is worse than anything you can think of..wear it off! I will not engage you, because if I do, the impact will be devastating on this thread!Heh heh heh. Nwanne, gbawaa door mehn! |
Chino72: Did I say that okada business is unworthy? NO!No need to get defensive. Please point out where I mentioned that drug business is something to be ashamed of? Except of course, your conscience tells you it is. |
Chino72: I only implied that Anambra people are not mainly in Okada riding business..what is the denigration in that? And I only implied that for the most part (98%) Anambrarians are in the business of drug peddling and being inmates of prisons all over Asia (of all places in God's earth). Where's the denigration in that? I thought we were stating random facts about Alaigbo...biko Chino, don't take it personally. Eziokwu bukwanu ndu. |
Chino72: Anambra is fast de-emphasizing 'Okada' and introducing Keke Napep for conveying of passengers within the cities. Presently those okada riders are being moved away from the urban centers to concentrate at the outskirts of the major cities while Keke is now taken over the urban centers. It is also worthy to note that 98% of those okada riders are from Ebonyi, Enugu, Kogi states etcOnly an Anambrarian like Chino would spurn dignity of labor. Since you're so interested in statistics, you must be aware that 98% of convicted drug peddlers are from Anambra. So much so that each Anambra family has a relative spending a lifetime in jail. But of course you'd rather be a drug peddler than an Okada rider! Again, I don't mean to spite you--just stating the facts. |
Yet, most Nigerian tertiary hospitals have no running water; hospital staff use a bowl to scoop water, and then either use a soap bar or Morning Fresh. What is more is the Morning Fresh is split in 5, and each part filled up with water. You take a bowl to scoop water, contaminating the bowl, then after the sham called handwashing with Morning Fresh, you re-contaminate your hands with the microbes you had initially deposited on the bowl...what a thrill! And I am not even talking about state teaching hospitals, or district hospitals, or worse still, primary health centres. Saniitizers are a luxury in the hospitals where they are needed, but become necessities for political office holders! I only hope Ebola leaves us wiser. |
Unemadu: Independence layout close to brown and brownHahahaha Mo-wu shi nne. |
^ Unemadu, where's this? Also, is your moniker the Ezeagu rendering of "Nwanne Mmadu"? ***just curious*** Thanks for the pics. |
iconize: What are you saying? Op mean no harm.Oh... OK. My apologies. But shouldn't the OP be more concerned with r.ape in Yorubaland which is fast becoming a national emergency? |
iconize: Vacuous gibberish. That Bornu boy is 6 times more likely to r.ape someone tonight; don't engage him, he'll drag you to his level of perversion and debauchery. Ignore them, they tend to fritter away when you do. |
I've sent the OP crying to his mother! Next time, think twice (nay 4 times!!!) before you say "Enugu" Heh heh heh. |
Ibadan has 4 times as much of this danger as Enugu!
