Why does this topic come on every so often? Just when we've conclusively proved that Nri is the ancestral home of the Nri-Igbo, the music moves to Aguleri. Do I have to dig up the ancient smelting works of Lejja, and the pyramids of Nsude for you to know that the Igbo race predates Eri. Catherine Acholonu (God rest her soul) did a lot of mythbusting in that regard. |
centje: i think there's problem with NairalandOK it's showing now... ![]() Ogun cabs are stylish and the best multicolor cabs so far. Osun cabs ate just hideous. |
centje: really!! It's warm enough but I don't like the idea of taxi colour based party colour. So if another party wins, the taxi is repaintedSuch is the burden of our democracy. The Ogun cab pic isn't showing o. Kindly reupload. |
centje: wow, i think the colour makes sense?Well, Yes. That's the color of Labor Party though, so everything in Ondo is bright and orange: markets, cabs, hospitals, schools etc The color ends up losing its charm. |
OdenigboAroli: This is what happens when you vote selfish and self centered f.ools into power. They play politics with the future of the people. It better not be true that Chime abandoned the school of medicine just to spite Nnamani.Peter Obi is under siege, and you're more concerned with Enugu State matters... Hmm. I richaagonu ego nwoke mmadu, wee ruo oru ya half-done. ![]() |
Ondo State (ise loogun ise)

OdenigboAroli: Obi can't be touched....He is like a god amongst the Anambra elites.O di mma. ![]() |
eaglechild: When you start mixing lies with your criticisms you lose credibility.I tire o. My cousin, a foundational student of the school, has been a licensed doctor since 2011. He must have left his alter ego behind. |
OdenigboAroli: Nawaa ;Ndi Enugu are in big trouble....this is what is gonna happen. Soon as the next governor comes in he will direct all the state finances to his town/local government ignorant the rest of the state. Enugu need a leader who sees everybody as one and very important.Odenigbo, quick! Ndiofe- they're dressing down your paymaster here: https://www.nairaland.com/1811073/why-peter-obi-denied-ministerial |
centje: chime never despised any community. Even his town didn't get special attention. Go ask how his kinsmen attacked him for not favouring them.I have taken my Isi Uzo community as a case in point. Chimaroke only used us for Nkanu expansionism, yet did nothing. Sullivan took up the road, and the rest is history. but guess what? The propagandists said the road was built as Govt largesse to former Ambassador Kingsley Ebenyi. Lol. Otil1, you're in the know; no administration is/has been/will be perfect. If you look for plot-holes, you'll find them. But that don't mean the movie won't win an Oscar. |
^ Centje, my jaw actually drops with each sentence of otil1's posts. He started out well but has since caught propaganda fever from spikesC. When people start to resort to falsehood to make a point, then it's best to leave them be. Not to mention that this is all about Ekweremadu. |
@otil1 I'm not asking anyone to apologize to me. I don't need spikesC's apology. While you enjoy your eba, appreciate the constant electricity in the rural Enugu community that produced it, the impeccable road networks that delivered it to your doorstep. Now you enjoy your dinner, safe and secure...the Enugu State Police patrolling your street. I'm hoping you will have some dessert...tonight's suggestion: HUMBLE PIE! Good night otil1. Good night spikesC. |
centje: your computer is under attackHeh heh heh Same 'ol. Nice concept for a thread BTW I see Front page in your future... Lol |
Only the Enugu and Sokoto cab images are showing. Is the link broken, or is it my computer? |
This is the fourth estate from this private developer over 4 years. The man must be in high demand. First was Bethel estate, then Jubilee and Goshen estates. Now Elim estate. There are other estates done by the State Govt: Lomalinda Estate, Liberty Estate, Coal City Gardens, Lakeside Estate, Centenary City. Congratulations to the visionary leader, Sullivan Chime. |
spyder880: I wish I could continue this exchange with you, but the way you lace your points with insults is not what I can descend into. I ignored your reply to me up there. Have a nice day. That's exactly why I ignored him also. The exchange has become childish, with great disdain for truth. Meanwhile, Enugu still repping on the FP: https://www.nairaland.com/1809154/president-jonathan-commissions-324-housing |
Yoritskeri, what's your deal with the second picture? Up to something, huh? @ Topic: This is the fourth estate from this private developer over 4 years. The man must be in high demand. centje: @bolded. Why the lower allocation? My brother, I'm yet to find an answer. Anambra: 145 billion Imo: 138 billion Abia: 115 billion Ebonyi: 99 billion Enugu: 93 billion It's 10 billion up from last year, but still... |
otil1: There is 4-point agenda of which infrastructure is 1 of and taking stock of work doneit is only is Enugu metro. Is dat a model to copy and propagate? Just infrastructure o.This half-truth has been oft-repeated. The Abakpa Nike - Opi highway was built from scratch, making Nsukka (hitherto the farthest from Enugu city) closer to Enugu than most parts of Enugu. The same road gives an offshoot that connects to Isi Uzo, and from there, there's Ikem-Obollo highway that connects to Igboeze. I would also love for Nsukka inner roads to be in good shape, but I know that costs money... moreso for a state receiving one of the least allocations. Admit it or not, Enugu has come a long way from that insecure, sleepy town beset with sectional leaders such as Nnamani and Nwodo. Chime has introduced a unique form of leadership; there is hardly a community that hasn't benefited in one way from the states scarce resources. Education has been suboptimal, yet that didn't stop our kids from coming third nationwide in the Unity schools entrance exam. That didn't stop our SSCE students from recording the highest pass rate in our history. Think what will happen if Education eventually receives her due. Finally, yes I think the next governor should do well to emulate aspects of Chime's prudent and far-reaching style of governance. Think of that woman from my Isi Uzo LGA who used to be all covered in dust before she could reach Enugu. Today, she reaches Enugu sparkling as the noonday sun (And, yes, our women are that pretty )But still, we implore Chime to hasten up the road to connect Eha Amufu, and then to Nkalagu borderland. But unlike you, I'm not going to say he's a failure in order to achieve that. |
otil1: That is the matter- excuses and excuses for not addressing the core matter in Enugu.Nobody is diverting the thread; the Anambra detour was to keep Chino and his other monikers from criticizing seeing as he's not open to criticism himself. Your grouse is that you have to buy water---that's stressful. In New Haven, just adjacent to Independence Layout, water flows from our taps, and I mean water from Water Corporation. In fact, PAYG Meters and taps have all been installed, and presently awaiting commissioning. My village also has potable water, and electricity. But you mention that 3km away from Enugu, one is confronted with poverty and decay... Hmmm. That's the sound of propaganda. 3km is a precise and small distance, so I assume you were speaking metaphorically. But what do you mean precisely? I agree Sullivan has underperformed in Education and Healthcare. But that's not enough to fail him. Keep in mind that in 2014, Enugu State will be getting the least allocation of all states in the SE--yes, even lower than Ebonyi! |
chy101: My friend I told you earlier that I don't want to loose my cool on this thread, I want to cut down on domestic e-war unless it is extremely necessary like the one you are pushing!Chino, I'm not beefing. Anambra has potential, and although you're working really hard at your job (ebe onye bi ka o na-awachi), some of us can't get used to the fact that Anambra has been knuckling under. This is the same state that produced the likes of Azikiwe, Ojukwu and innumerable technocrats. What went wrong? Ebee ka mmiri si banye n'opi ugbogoro? |
OdenigboAroli: Obi did a lot of work in Omaba face 1 and 2. He started the remodeling of upper Iweka and Onitsha is just one of the many towns in Anambra that needs development, some towns doesn't have a single motorable road. Bros,Obi can't finish the building of Anambra and Obiano can't complete it. But we will definitely be comfortable by the time Obiano is done. That's a FG route, don't claim victory for Obi. Obi achieved nothing in Onitsha, save for a few roads, poorly done at that. Chime built the much more extensive Akwata embankment, yet no one is shouting us hoarse. |
OdenigboAroli: Well, when he came on there were no single water scheme that functioned but today a lot of towns in Anambra can boast of drinking water and when the seventeen new ones are completed water scarcity will be history. Governance is a continuous movement and Obiano will continue where he stopped. We will get there, insha allau.Despite being on the banks of the Niger, Onitsha lacks potable water. What an irony! |
chy101: I bet you, if this e-war start you will not contain me! Nobody is comparing any state here. Odenigbo was posting based on the writer and that is his own opinion. Don't start what you cannot finish.Go to Onitsha? Apart from Onitsha-Enugu federal highway, which state infrastructure can Onitsha boast of since Obi became governor? Nada! |
Abagworo: . Still on same biased criticism. If anyone decides to dig into the reality of the day, true pictures from Akwa-Ibom will even shock Akpabio himself. The reality on ground is that a lot has been left undone in all parts of Nigeria that if anyone decides to take on any State, a million pictures suggesting under-development will crop up. No State including Lagos and Abuja is free from this reality.Well, that's mostly true. But still, Akpabio's works are iconic, and top-notch as are Chime's works... But Obi's works? Cheap and tasteless, like his partner in Umuahia. |
OdenigboAroli: I assess Peter Obi base on one,Anambra had no structure for governance when he came on. Two,Our allocation is one of the poorest. Three, there was utter insanity everywhere. This man started from the very bottom. Without government house, state secretariat. This guy's a clown! ![]() Which Anambra is like AkwaIbom? With substandard roads littered everywhere. Not one single traffic light. Not one city planned. BTW, what became of the UN-Habitat plan for Onitsha? Apparently, Obi had nothing to gain from planning Onitsha, so he sent that plan to an early grave. Obi has run Anambra state aground. Willie Obiano should redeem Anambra, seriously. It's sad to see a state with so much potential yet scraping the bottom of the pot. |
OdenigboAroli: First of I'm not Chino and you do know that if you have average discerning mind. That sounds like the achievement list of my Local Govt chairman. As an administrator, Obi was good for nothing. As an opportunist businessman, he was constantly up to something. He finished with the grand scam of fixing ANSG money in a deposit account... and you've done nothing but applaud him. Well, Otimkpu nweenu share! |
chy101: I am not Odenigbo! Stop bringing me into this thread because when I eventually comes you will feel my impact!Heh heh heh Confuse g'aduma. All your multiple monikers are starting to mess up your head. |
OdenigboAroli: The article isn't bias but you are the one that refuse to see what is really going on.Chino, let's put things in perspective. In 2014, Anambra will be spending 145 billion Enugu : 93 billion. It would be interesting to see who achieves what at the end of the year. Not to impugn Willie Obiano, but what are the odds he'd be different seeing as he was planted by a clever Peter Obi who by the way, achieved absolutely nothing in 2 tenures. Next to him, Chime is a godsend. |
This article is as biased as can be. |
the Elders’ Committee raised the 13 per cent derivation to 18 per cent. The committee also recommended that five per cent of federal revenue should go for the rehabilitation, stabilization and reconstruction of areas affected by insurgency in the North-East, North-West and North-Central geo-political zones.18% - 5% = 13% aka Status quo ante ![]() And they say Northerners aren't smart! Mods, abeg send this Southern delegates' mumuism to FP. I only pity non-oil producing and Boko-free states, they just got burned. |
spyder880: MoreCheesus! Is this Enugu or Obodo Ndiocha! |
