Disclosure: I dey eye the stock badderly.

daemperor1: Hello sir, any clue as to what's happening to Access bank shares?
It could just be market forces with a general apathy of investors for the stock.
It could also be a deliberate dumping, to induce panic selling and mopping up of shares. Remember there are 2 things coming soon for this company i.e interim dividend and the rights issue. I think I have documented some hanky panky which has been occurring to this stock in the last few weeks. I think it is hanky panky grin But then, what do I know. As always not a hold, buy or sell recommendation.
Full disclosure: I hold positions in Access

Amisec: For those who use morgan, how do I transfer funds from my acct? I can't find any button for this purpose on the webpage.
Email your account officer. I think though they will only remit funds to your account on file with them, and they charge for instant transfers.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by passwelle: 2:31pm On Sep 02, 2014
Elai147: I also noticed that my account balance is not usually updated until after trading hours
They claim reconciliation issues are the cause of this sudden change in policy. Previously uptill last week they remitted funds within a few hours of trade execution. I would think for a company who charge so little they will want to have as many trades executed by their clients in any one day. Will be good if they can bring this back. Been a while we heard from their handle here though.

Even my portfolio has not been updated.
Sales made during the trading hours wont be credited till after close of business. They did previously but apparently no longer do this angry. Meristem still do though.

omaojo1: First 5% up from the previous close of 6.43 is 6.75 and then the next 5% from 6.75 will leave it at 7.08. Expect it to touch that level at 10:15 NGN time.
As predicted, 4m bids at 7.08 now.

@All keep your eyes on other stocks which may have been beyond the reach of your cutlass as investors exit those to get on the Transcorp train.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by passwelle: 9:36am On Sep 02, 2014
While Transcorp has a bid of 26m units at or >6.43 in the pre-market presently grin

In other news, Eterna had a good rally yesterday on the back of its unaudited H1 results. The rally may continue still today. While Access did not rally as I hoped it would after the results were announced. @Elai147 correctly predicted this though, must be the 70bn rights coming up.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by passwelle:
I dont think anyone is a detractor here. As many as are willing to play devils advocate though are welcome. Oando has wonderful prospects, the timing is however a different thing entirely. Our prophet was reliably informed of a date, and nothing came of it. WT replied one of our very own here with a date on Twitter, and nothing has come of it. FO was once like this, but when it found its footing things headed north and consistently so for the company. The stock market is not about getting in at the lowest price of a stock, it is getting in when your upside potential is much greater than your downside. I expect everyone here is a lily livered investor, unless you sit on the board of a company, you ought to be wink.

Dexterax: My oga, under the current state of affairs, men construct things, see things and engage in projections. Sometimes it's best to allow these delusions take their toll.
The bolded text had me laughing so loudly grin. But really @Dexterax you are way too witty!
Its one thing to be emotionally attached to a stock, its another to be deluded. Then its another to propagate the delusions on to others by sprinkling it with some messages of hope. Like someone on SMN captioned it earlier today "Even Oando does not know when its result would be released...." I hope I am not misunderstood though, no company owes us the shareholders to inform us of when exactly to expect results to be released. Neither can anyone hold a twit against a company executive.
The most recent prophecy suggests it will happen on the 1st of Sept still, well for those of us presently in the Eastern hemisphere its the 2nd of Sept already.

mkwayisi: Is there anyone who took action in connection with the above quoted post, which was posted exactly a week ago? I someone had, the person would be laughing 32.12% louder today. Still, any takers this week? (Don't forget, however, that the day of calamity is fast approaching.)
If you havent noticed, there has been > 1m units bid for this everyday of trading since it started its upward movt. The bids are always at the 10% max price (my source is the itrade platform). The problem is the offer! I will be interested in hearing from anyone who has dared, and successfully bought this stock since the 11th of Aug. It trades just enough to move up in price i.e 50,00 units and has done so since the 11th save for one day.
full disclosure: I wont be touching this with a long pole. For me its a joke, just like Unity so I do a daily check on their stats grin

4dchairman: For you to invest you must ask yourself some questions-
1-What is the gestation of your investment.
2-What is the reason for the current bullish run and the sustainability.
3-Are you willing to take losses.
In addition to all of the above, read up on Sir Isaac Newton's experience with the South Sea stock. Remember be wary of chasing a moving train, or catching falling knives.

4dchairman: Expect the result for OANDO PLC 2013 fy,2014 Q1 AND Q2 Sept. 1, Mr Wale Tinubu replied me via twitter.
passwelle: Its more to do with understanding who the man or men behind the vision is and lastly the business. Which brings us to the definition of the word Cowboy (or men behind the vision). Dexterax defined this best and i paraphrase "they occupy the top echelon of management of flamboyant companies and there is always a disconnect between their words, their actions and press releases. However they always value their own interest over those of the other investors.
As Mr Cameron said: "The trouble with Twitter, the instantness of it - too many twits might make a t wat."

myjoy08: Sir, releasing of result has nothing to do with website shutdown. Sir, drink some water and get yourself relax.
4dchairman: BREAKING NEWS -Oando Energy Resources website is locked down and only password accessible.
There is a precedent from the 29th of July. No one can claim to be "relaxed" over their holdings in Oando, save for maybe the Cowboys angry

The drama with Oando is always a bit over the top. I don't think the site should go down so they can upload a pdf huh. Oh, and by the way shouldnt the NSE publish it online prior to Oando?
