lebete3000: Hello guys...it seems I'm about to lose above 100k soon.
I exchanged money to dollars and sent abroad for something to buy, but due to some reasons I want the money to be sent back...it was exchanged from bkackmarket for 228naira last month...if the person sends back the dollars how will I ensure I don't lose a huge chunk of my money cos I heard CBN is still going for 198.9 despite the black market soaring around 245naira. I'm about opening a GTBank dollar account.
So what can I do to salvage this situation? Do you still have this in USD? I can buy from you at a competitive rate. Check your email. |

Attached are are the top picks from 2 months ago (April 24), and their performance till date (June 16). The above sir is for the investor. I am aware of a trader who uses Morgan Capital and has made net of charges >16% in Wema bank, 28% in FCMB and 9% profit in Sterling bank in the same time period you quoted above. All compounded. |

hotcake: Oga pw, pls check your figures again for the 30/1/2015. Officially it closed at 6.82 opened at 6.28 (some say 6.50?).with official low of 6.18 But in fact it went well below 6.18 intraday and that was what made me to sell at 6.10 (note not 6.18!). This scenario was vividly collaborated by one Dr. Awo of SMN on that day. Almost all through trading today, it ranged between 6.18 -6.20. Then about 10 seconds to the end of trading, gbam, over 5 million units traded at 6.82 and, Voila, We have a green day! Just rechecked the numbers. Your numbers are right, mine were wrong. I quoted 2014 figures. Note that the intra day range is still within the 10.25% aside of the 6.10 which is not within 5% of the opening/reference price of 6.50. I hope the 6.10 figure is not based on your net proceeds? As this will have commissions and charges deducted. If you actually sold at 6.10 on a day Dangsugar closed at 6.82, pls pm me, as I know a lawyer. |

hotcake: Mamm, you are very funny. The same thing happened to me on Dansugar on the 30th Jan this year, cant forget the day.. In the twinkling of an eye the price went from -10% to +10%. There and then, NSE closed for the day. Shi kenan. Ma, it probably felt like it. But, that wasnt the case. The intra day range of every stock on the NSE permits a change of +/- 5% at market open to set the reference price. A further maximum of +/- 5% of this reference price is then allowed during continuous trading to give a maximum intraday range of +/- 10.25% of the previous closing price. It is not possible to have a 20% swing. On said day Dangsugar had a low of 5.88 and closed 6.42. |

olajide8: you havent checked the possibly increase in their asset base from the merger - whether we like it or not it would affect their balance sheet i go with him, as against your argument.. Sir, I am not sure we are discussing the same thing. The outstanding number of shares is what I commented on. The balance sheet has absolutely nought to do with the dilution of the outstanding shares of Skye if they eventually raise the 30bn needed through rights/issuance of new shares. |

zendi: Q3 thing. Anytime from July, which means Q2 result will come from another planet, to pump the stock for the exercise. And we are looking for a tasere N30b which means dilution will be minimal. I trust skye management, ever determined to keep outstanding shares concise. Sir, for a stock currently at sub N3, that wants to raise N30b, if they get all that from share sale, thats a little over 10b shares before charges for the issuing houses etc. OS is currently under 14b now. Not sure your comment re dilution will hold true. |

@ All in the House I try to observe patterns, I have never given a stock pick, but I endeavour to share my observations. Yesterday the stock gained 5.04% in the last minute of trading (see below). This caught my attention. Check the time Sai Buhari made his disclosure this morning and compare with the timing and value of trades in said stock today. The stock opened high and had traded almost 1m units at 5.22 before his disclosure. One mans ponmo is another mans meat. Disclosure: I have held jijo positions in said stock prior to closure, and re-entered after closure also with JIJO intentions.
