SWG1:Closure for said stock is going to be before the AGM on the 25th of June, and payment thereafter. As they envisage many will not take up said rights, bulk of funds will be raised from links in the UAE. |
lifeskilz129:Sir, Unity Bank has an all time low of N2.13 (21k). Without factoring in any transaction charges, 30% appreciation at this entry price compounded will be N2.83. The stock had an intraday high and closed at 2.75. Please tell us another story. |
I agree with SaiBuhari. He has my utmost respect for sharing this with us. |
Yem0350:Sir, I am watching the full offer on AGLEVENT presently. Since you are sure of the high dividend why dont you mop it all up at a faster rate? |
Yem0350:Dear Board member of AGLEVENT, you do realise that company has released audited results for 2014 since April 27, with a 52% decline in earnings. The Q1 2015 result of the company also shows a 50% decline yoy. If you are waiting for a dividend you may just be on a longthing. |
LondonCool:Sir, you are spot on. This has been a strategy that reaped immense rewards for me in Afriprud and Ubcap recently and will do same in Access soon . Many take profit after closure and this depresses the price. I believe Oga Agbalowomeri also employs this strategy annually with Afriprud. It also is immediate unlike the delay between closure date and payment date which the dividend earner experiences. |
UD4040:There you go: http://www.nse.com.ng/Issuers-section/corporate-disclosures/regulatory-filing-calendar |
feelamong:Sir what are your numbers based on? Audited 2014 results of Nestle places it in the range Mercy stated. |
Agbalowomeri:Yes Sir, it means at this rate they will achieve the same result as their 2014 FY at the end of 2015. Note 2014 FY was poor compared to 2013 FY. |
megainvest:Keep in mind that the 75k eps you see for Q1 2015 has been annualised and the actual improvement is 88% (no where near the 258% improvement indicated). That is to say if they continue at this rate they will make 75k FY 2015. |
I am with Mercy on this one with eps at 29 kobo NEM will go places ![]() |
For those in IEI, NAICOM have sacked the board. |
angelo82:What a joke. ![]() |
angelo82:Sir, if she uses the ITrade, she can offload once her order is filled. No time to waste time. The Itrade is the traders delight, intraday JIJO . |
mercylicious:I know a bit about the downstream sector due to my exposure to refined products retail. In the absence of subsidy for PMS, companies like Forte with import license, haulage trucks and lots of outlets will actually profit more as it will be akin to what prevails in the Diesel segment now where Total were retailing as high as N165 vs N150 in many other stations. So absence of subsidy in a fully deregulated clime should translate into increased income as they will pass it on to the man on the street. |
ogbs2020love:Sir, remember we are all limited by what we know. Many here will benefit from you even if the overwhelming majority do not acknowledge your contributions, so do not desist from contributing. That said, all should remember that in the stock market no stock is too high that it can not go higher (e.g Nestle) nor is any too low, that it can not go lower (e.g UnityBank), it all lies in its worth to market participants. |

EZEIGBO1OFIMO:Anything? I am very grateful to them o. They provide a lot of liquidity in the system, and can be a pointer of good tidings to befall a stock e.g Vitafoam in the last 2 weeks of April. Most stocks on the NSE have them, and if you mean who the market makers for individual stocks are? The link below should help: http://www.nse.com.ng/products-site/equities-site/market-structure-site/Pages/Primary-Market-Makers.aspx |
myjoy08:cc: EZEIGBO1OFIMO Like my Oga has stated above, you are not allowed to "go short" strictly speaking. However if you have position in a stock, which you really want in your portfolio and you sense it will head south, you can definitely sell to re enter at a lower price. |
bigass:I guess you missed the point I was trying to make. The Q1 2015 (Mar 30 2015) results states that the Board considered and approved it in Nov 2013. |
bigass:What? So why is the annual report for 2014 signed in April 2015? |
C and I leasing Q1 result. Signed on behalf of the board on the 13th of Nov 2013 ![]() http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/FinancialStatementSummary_C%20I%20LEASING%20PLC._20q15-05-06.pdf |

Manonamission:The price of any share (Afriprud inclusive) is determined by the forces of demand and supply and the bid and offer prices. If the demand exceeds supply it appreciates, provided the demand is at higher than previous closing price. If the supply exceeds the demand, and is offered at lower than closing price on previous day, it drops. When any market info is released on the NSE, I always bet against the "expected" impact of the news. |
Manonamission:Very well said Sir. NPF have 9k eps unaudited from Q1, while the 21k is the audited eps for the entire 2014 FY. Its a case of comparing apples and oranges. 2013 Q1 was 7k, 2014 Q1 was 8k while this year is 9k. Seemples . |
feelamong:Sir, is this the big announcement from Royalex? 2k dividend http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/9645_ROYAL_EXCHANGE_AUDITED_DEC_2014_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_APRIL_2015.pdf |
