Family / Re: Getting Married And Living In Your Parents House. What Is Wrong About It by pasuma(m): 3:43am On Jan 26
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it but the problem is mostly with the ladies, they may frustrate your existence just to move out of the house. Indians do it , more of a norms with them, you find 3 generations living in the same compound. I stayed 7 years after marriage in my father's house until I completed my 4 flats in isolo before moving out. Maybe I was just lucky with my wife but some ladies wouldn't even stay 1 week sha

jmoore:
If nobody is pursing you and your parents house is close to were you work, please remain in your father's house.

I saw many people lamenting about house rent in one thread like that.

Ignore people's opinion. They are not the one feeding you.

I will only leave my father's house when I have enough money to build a better house.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Keep My Job Or Travel To The UK by pasuma(m): 2:40pm On Jan 02
This is your best time to leave sir. Don't look back, it's always good to leave while single, you can still meet up with your marriage plan even while there in the UK.. your salary is not even good enough pls for this country, the only thing keeping you is the side money you people in civil service see owing to your corrupt nature

mistacoco2:
Hello guys,

For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

I belong to the school of thought that believes can make it in Nigeria despite all odds. However, considering the economic realities of the country, I have recently contemplating of japa and maybe get a Nigerian lady for marriage after my studies.

Please I earnestly need matured advice from you guys to know how to start the coming year.

Career / Re: Should I Leave My Current Company by pasuma(m): 2:35pm On Jan 02
My advice is for you to leave immediately, I made same mistake but was eventually told off after 15 years , I was just lucky to have my former MD taking me to his new company after hearing about my maltreatment since he left, now I got 3x of what I was getting before now. Don't get emotionally attached to any company my friend, they'll put you under the bus without blinking, forgetting all your sacrifices for them..

Maths125:
Happy new year Professionals in the house.

I need an advice as regards my career

I just got a new job with a startup as a Business Analyst with Salary of 300k. Pension, health included

I am currently working in a well established company with a salary of 170k. Pension, healthcare included also

I am afraid of the unknown, there is comfort in my current company

Tomorrow 2nd will determine if I will resign or not. What if my current company decided to increase my Salary to 250k. Should I stay or not.

My advice, open a stock trading account with any broker that allows you to trade on your mobile phone directly yourself latest next week, I will suggest Meritrade, buy GTCO, Zenith, MTNN, ACCESSCORP and FCMB. pay more attention to the 1st two.

Sell once you are up by 30% and wait for the market again and decide. You can't go wrong from the analysis I did yesterday.

So Nigeria have finally happen to me, I thought if I save a little to the 5M I have, it would be able to leave this country by next year.

But right now, it is impossible, I saw on Twitter how a lady was begging money for flight ticket which was about 2.2M, just flight ticket o.

Months ago, a relative of mine told me someone is looking for a dependent and he will connect me to the person, he said the payment was 4M and I was not going to pay much after that and I will stay with the person in the UK before I settle on my own but I was forming big girl saying I will do my process by myself.

Now look, dollar have increased, the money is now worthless, anyway when there is life, there is hope.

Nairaland please help me think of a business to start with 2M, I can't just leave the money in the bank to keep on depreciating.

Thank you

He said he was surprised since his 8 years in naija that people keep saying the same thing about bad luck and sleeping with married women, that in their side they only date married women especially for convinience, they don't call you up wrongly or disturb you whatsoever unlike single ladies with hopes of ruining your marriage to take over..

Family / Re: I Want To Divorce And Live Alone by pasuma(m): 7:33am On Sep 13, 2023
As someone who is married for 13 years now, i'll advice you not to.. believe me, the qualities your wife possesses are rare, you will not find them elsewhere rather you will loose a good woman over trivialities.. if sex were the problem, look elsewhere for sex, dont keep any relationship, but PLS DONT DIVORCE HER!!!

ADURA123:
Good evening fellow NL members,
My story may be long but pls endeavor to read to the end so that you can make proper suggestions or advice.

I have been married for more than 10yrs now with beautiful kids, my marriage is one that many Young guy will wish to have, but along the the line I don't know what happened things begin to nose dive. In the last 6yrs I discovered that I struggle to make love to my wife, she will either tell you ohh, she is tire or she don't like sex much..this I have endured for all this years with no cheating.
Her qualities are
She can cook
She can keep the house clean
She can manage resources
And she is accommodating to my people
In all this years I have never cheated on her, proudly saying it coz my dad warned me of cheating on my wife rather I should divorce her and go for another wife.

My qualities are
I work and earn like about 700k net a month.
I give feeding allowance and personal total of 100k a month while I invest the rest on a project which she is aware of.
I don't drink or smoke
I don't keep late night
and I am the best friend to her and my kids.
Honestly having talk to her for over 5yrs on this issues of love making and she refused to change, then I have decided to yield to my dad advice and ask her to leave...she is not aware of this plan, but trust me it will hit her.
I allow her to do little job to have her own finance is not as if she contribute anything in the house, but she is claiming stubborn, I love her so much, it will hurt me to cheat on her, something I have not done since I got married to her.
I plan moving to a new place in February, and she doesn't fit into my plans.

My decision between now and December is
1 Avoid asking her for lobe making
2 Continue taking care of her so she won't suspect anything
3 when she comes close I avoid her.
4 February I issues divorce papers and give her like 1m to go get her life back

Is there anything more I can do for her?
Advice me pls...

the tithe also comes with a condition.. when there would be a temple in jerusalem.. but the criminals in cloaks are collecting when even the commanded jews stopped paying it cos the temple has been destroyed.. they share money to the poor first in immediate family, then your neighbors, then if you still have more look for poor outside your vicinity then to outside your city.. that is what they do now... but our criminal enterprise would rather die with eating other people's money..

thisisit:

The holy book also stated that

TITHE SHOULD BE PAID TO A PRIEST WHO MUST BE A LEVITE.

Those paying Tithe to non LEVITE priest have wasted their tithe and they shall not receive God's blessings in respect of Tithe.

Those who collect tithe without being priest of the biological lineage of Levite are in illegal Business.

No Nigerian (Priest or Not) is qualified to collect or receive Tithe because no Nigerian can do what said the Levite priest should do with the tithe.

In conclusion, no tithe, and there is interest on loans.

thisisit:
MURIC is wrong... The scripture you quoted specified the type of borrower that should enjoy interest free loan as:

1. YOUR BROTHER
2. FELLOW ISREALI

We are Neither ISREALI nor BROTHERS. We are just a bunch of disunited ethno-religious bigots of a failed state who are only interested in oppressing each other to gain Favor of the Political Elite that is dividing us., instead of uniting to take back the country from these soul less Political class.

There must be double digit interest rate, of at least 50% per annum on the loan if at all there is any loan.

You're definitely a pagan or deliberately ignorant.. the practice of tithes precedes Judaism and over 3000 years before Christianity, it's a pagan practice in the Levant region, middle east and the rest of that region.. stop being foolish.. google it,

The covenant blessings associated with tithing and seed sowing are also forbidden to come near them.
