The fact that you work with them does not mean you know where and where the owners have been visiting. I've been running my bakery for 3 years now, believe it or not it's not easy and it's not the right time to go into the business right now. Except you found a unique location with no bakery around, otherwise you will have to endure alot.
Engineeradeyemi:
you refer to someone who does 20bags a day as a big bakery? Come, let me walk you into mega bakeries and dey produce more than 100bgs in a day. and to cap it all dey int using ur so called JUJU as u claimed cos its a matter of hardwork as we started with dem right from days of 1bag and moreso we were in charge of setting up dere bakery. contact me if u are interested in setting up as we are into sales, repairs and installation of bakeries

You are absolutely right, it's been like this since our days of studying computer science from late 90s and it's getting worse by the day. The curriculum is terrible. No respite in sight.

very very GOOD RESULT

computer science has NOTHING TO OFFER in most federal universities.... IMAGINE AT 400Level, you are doing ALGEBRA when your mate here in ghana is developing softwares already... and you both wrote the same WAEC o

Nigeria should be ashamed. Las Las school na scam. Any computer science student that has not yet figured it out should go and write jamb again to study ZOOLOGY because we are in a ZOO.

By entering university in Nigeria, a youth is already outdated and has already failed. Books are written by people older than our fathers and the materials are not even practical or current at all.

Am right?

UPDATED

Okay.. You mentioned you are also a Digital marketer, maybe you run Ads on daily basis to get leads. I'm a digital marketer myself and have faced similar issues like yours.

Sales dropped, i had to check myself, expenses and spending before getting back on my feet...

You are a digital marketer, dont let any archaic thought bring you down.....

However, these maybe the reasons why you are not getting leads

1. You may have secured the new apartment with funds you out to have spent on Running ads
2. Lets say you rely on SEO for traffic, There's an Algo update from Big G, maybe this's what's affecting your business

If you can be more open about the kind of Digital marketing you do, i'm sure you'd see useful advice

How is she a born again Christian please ? Everybody claiming to be born again just by nomenclature? She's having extra marital affairs already, confront her with facts once and for all instead of staying there deceiving yourself claiming she's born again.. who knows if she's seeing someone else sef
stabillini:
My wife is a born-again Christian, we have been married for 20years and I have absolute trust in her until recently when she found her ex-boyfriend 4 years ago when she lost her father, the ex got to know about it and sent her 50k to cover some burial expenses. Since then they have been having prolonged chatting on whatsapp every day, I have been reading the chats.
Initially it seemed like normal chats like "how was your day?", "good morning, how was your night?" these chats always lead to other small talks.
But recently the chats have taken another turn. Now we have chats like "I couldn't sleep last night, I kept thinking of you" to which my wife would reply "same here". Last night the chat went like this.
Wife: "now that we have found each other, what next?"
Ex: "I am here to reclaim what rightfully belongs to me but was taken away from me 20years ago".
Wife: "don't you think that would be difficult? I'd like to see how you would do that".
Physically I know they have not been seeing each other because we are living in Abeokuta and the ex-boyfriend is living in Kaduna. But these chats are giving me so much worry. I don't know where it's leading to. They might plan to kill me. I have not confronted my wife knowing that the chats will stop and they might go underground. Pls, I need advices of fellow nairalanders

dannyla:
I opened a new account to remain anonymous.
This story is a bit long but pls bear with me.

I met this man almost 2yrs ago at an event a friend invited me to. The next week, he collected my number from my friend and called me, we began talking from there and agreed to go on a date. He proposed marriage to me on the first date which I rejected. I told him that I can't marry outside my church and from the little I've heard from him, our life dreams differ. I decided to cut him off from that day and I stayed away for about 3months. Meanwhile he got my friend to introduce him to my sis, mum and another friend who happened to be from his place, I'll call her Grace.
He made them all aware of his intent towards me and my stand and asked for their help to change my mind. Grace became his biggest ally and convinced me to have another date. He asked that we date for a while and see if we can work out our differences. During the date I noticed he has a very hot and quick temper and he listens to gossip a lot so I do tell Gracethat I don't see a future with him but he was too persistent, Grace always had words of encouragement and considering the fact that for some strange reason, it was mainly married men always approach me for a relationship with stories of how they got married to a wrong woman and they are or are almost divorced, dating a single man with no kids was very tempting and I decided to give it a try.

He asked me to tell him everything about me so there are no secrets between us and I did. Starting from secondary school to that day, I told him everything, from my first kiss, the colleague who tried to rape me, my ex who lied about his marital status and disvirgined me etc. he did the same too and I felt a burden roll off my shoulder.

Few days later I began to notice changes in him especially towards my business. I thrive in a male dominated industry in a ratio of 9men to 1woman. He asked me to show him the pictures of my colleagues which I did, he also asked if they make passes at me which I said is almost inevitable but my boundaries are clear and rigid.

Fast forward to now. I noticed that whenever I drop my phone, he goes through it. Facebook, sms, WhatsApp etc. He even picks my call when I'm not close to the phone. He asked me about a certain colleague who cracks dirty jokes like how I rushed to get married (I told him I'm already married). I didn't think much about it.

He later began to complain about my partners and how I'm sleeping with them like the prostitute I am, called me an unrepentant liar, unsubmisive, manipulating etc. Said he regrets asking for my hand at all and he's just waiting forthe day he'll catch me redhanded so he can dump my sorry a*s.
I told him to end it now cus I'm fed up, family came in and I later found out that Grace has been telling a lot of lies against hoping to get him for herself as well as hate filled advises from some aggrieved friends who felt ladies from my tribe are no good and just there to "chop money". Apologies were said and received and we continued.

Another time I visited him and we had an argument, he gave me several heavy knocks on my head and I developed a headache and began to insult him which resultedin more heavy knocks. I broke up with him and left. Later my mum called him to ask why he laid his hands on me, he denied it swearing with his life. Said I insulted him and he lost his temper and insulted me back that he's sorry. He began to drop messages everywhere and I eventually gave in.

3rd incident happened on our way back from an event. He saw a message from a colleague he told me to stop doing business with cus he feels the man has his eyes on me which is totally not true. He flared up, stopped the car and was even threatening to beat me up. I came down from his car and stood by the roadside. He came down too and gave me the insult of my life in full public view and glare and told me to enter the car which I refused. I had no money on me and had to beg a stranger for money. By that time he was coming back, he quickly took a picture of both of us and sent it to everybody of how he caught me in the act with my lover on the road. He called me and said that if he must marry me, I must break my business sim card and look for a wife friendly occupation or sit at home.

He later apologised over it. Meanwhile he and my sis don't flow as before as he once called her a prostitute.

I want to call it quits but everyone around me feels it's a mistake and he is saying everything out of anger and if I'm patient enough, he will change completely.

I must admit that he has changed alot since we met but the progress compared to the timeframe and the heat I face everyday is nothing to write home about.

He loves me to a fault and I don't know if I can find someone who loves me like him but his other attitude is sniffing life out of me. Do I stay or quit?
Thanks for reading and pardon any typos

So he's not a Fulani herdsman now a Nigerian? Our hypocrisy stinks to heaven
PureFace1:
Much of the global market in 2019 has been driven by the trade wars between the United States and The Peoples Republic of China. President Donald Trump signed an executive order that no US company should use telecommunications equipment made by technology companies that pose national security risks.

The ban was targeted at Huawei, the Chinese tech company leading 5G revolution in Asia. Experts says the US may lose as much as $500 billion, if China beats America to the best 5G technology — highlighting how important 5G will be in the years ahead. The countries that lead the 5G revolution will earn billions of dollars, and greatly improve their economies, and drive global change — one of such countries is the United Kingdom.

According to Nicola Sturgeon, the first woman to become the first minister of Scotland, said the Scotland is aiming to be the 5G leader in the UK. She says 5G could enable Scotland to add about £17 billion to GDP by 2035 and create 160,000 jobs.

At the heart of Scotland’s 5G revolution is Nigeria’s Yusuf Abudulrahmam Sambo!

WHO IS YUSUF SAMBO ?

Yusuf Abdulrahman Sambo is a research associate and the 5G-SON (self-organised network) testbed lead at the University of Glasgow, UK. Sambo was born in 1988 in Kaduna, he is an indigene of Ikara local government, Kaduna state.

The building blocks of his sterling career were laid at Command Children School, Abuja, where he had his primary education, and Zaria Academy, Shika, where he learnt at the secondary education level. He would go on to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he graduated in 2010 with a second-class upper degree in electrical engineering.

By 2011, a year after graduating from ABU, Sambo already completed his master’s degree in Mobile and Satellite Communications at the University of Surrey (with distinction and two publications).

Born to a medical doctor, who remains his role model, Sambo says his love for IT was encouraged by his father, who introduced him to the power of information and communications technology at a very young age.

Sambo says his father, despite being a medical doctor by training, proofreads all his tech papers, and has always been interested in all he is research and academic works.

PH.D AT 27

Following a distinct result during his masters at Surrey, Sambo got a full Ph.D. scholarship to work on a European Union-funded project on designing low electromagnetic emission future networks. He took the offer and started the Ph.D.

But like everything with the golden fish, there is no hiding place; during his first year of Ph.D., he secured a mobility funding, to conduct research on mobile communications at the Texas A&M University in Qatar.

At the age of 27, he completed his Ph.D. in Mobile Communications from the 5G Innovation Centre, reputed as the world’s largest academic research centre dedicated to next-generation mobile and wireless connectivity, at the University of Surrey in 2016.

Sambo has since tapped into the centre’s vision to drive the fourth industrial revolution “to enable a world where everything is provided wirelessly to the end device by a fixed and mobile (converged) infrastructure that functions across the whole geography”. The internet of things!

LECTURE AT BAZE UNIVERSITY

Despite being able to thrive anywhere in the world, Sambo returned to Nigeria upon graduation from Surrey, to transfer knowledge and give back to the Nigerian system. He worked briefly as a network engineer at Suburban Telecoms.

He also lectured at Baze University, Abuja, between July 2016 and August 2017. He taught three modules to undergraduate students at the university, and would later become a supervisor of the Electrical Engineering Department at the university in Nigeria’s capital.

His students made a Bluetooth controlled rover (picture above), which was demonstrated when Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state, visited the university.

While at Baze, he co-founded Baze Youth Forum, a gathering for progressive youths to share ideas on issues of common interest. During this period, he also joined Fleissen & Company, an independent research and consulting company, as a consultant and worked on several projects.

The company helps organisations to resolve complex problems in oil and gas, power, manufacturing, telecoms & technology (T&T), and water sectors.

PRODUCED THE world’s first 5G popup network

Sambo is currently a research associate in the Communication, Sensing and Imaging Group of the University of Glasgow working on a £1.2 million EPSRC-funded project on designing autonomous and resilient emergency communication systems. His main research interests include EMF exposure reduction, radio resource management, energy efficiency, wireless sensor networks and device-to-device (D2D) communication.

He has designed and built the first real-time 5G testbed dedicated to Self-Organised Networks (SON) in the UK which runs on general-purpose processors.

At Glasgow, he has also produced several proofs-of-concept and demonstrated various 5G use-cases including a prototype for the world’s first popup network that can be deployed in less than 2 minutes for emergency communications and rural connectivity.

His works have also made it possible to dynamically switch on/off 5G small cells by using machine learning for traffic prediction and multi-sensor fusion that result in over 20 percent energy savings.

Following his array of excellent ideas and implementation, he was awarded the coveted Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) grant for research on novel cooling systems capable of reducing the energy consumption of 5G networks by up to 50 percent.

LEADING SCOTLAND’S 5G Revolution

The 31-year-old co-edited the world’s first books on the verticals of 5G and EMF radiation from future wireless communication, published by the prestigious Wiley-IEEE and the IET, respectively in 2019.

In September 2018, the tech guru was engaged in an EPSRC-IAA funded research mobility to the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China to work on 5G testbed design.

He leads the University of Glasgow research team on the widely-celebrated Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)-funded 5G RuralFirst project. The project focuses on implementing a pop-up network for a healthcare use case in the Orkney Islands, Scotland.

He recently coordinated a demo for the first minister of Scotland to showcase the research and successes of his team’s 5G plan. This was widely reported in the British media, including coverage by the BBC, STV, the Scotsman, Daily Record, the Herald and the Daily Mail.

The Kaduna-born engineer currently has 21 publications in top-ranked peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is also a reviewer for several top journals and conferences, serving on technical program and organising committees of many international conferences and workshops.

When he is not revolutionalising 5G networks, he is supporting Arsenal Football Club, playing squash or traveling. Sambo says he loves food and is strangely a pen collector — he has about 100 pens from random places.

Music/Radio / Re: How Do I Advertise On Radio? by pasuma(m): 4:30am On Sep 03, 2019
Can you help me with some of those radio stations that are yoruba ? I want to buy airtime for a program i'm working on . thank you.
overboard:

OK o.

Have you produced the program as a pre-recorded one or is it supposed to be live?

When you say "what organizations will help me package the advert", do you mean adverts provided by potential sponsors or organizations that can produce adverts?

If you have sponsors, they would likely have had ads produced already and you'll just feature them at the required spots during the program. However, if you are to produce ads/jingles, several individuals/agencies/production houses can come up with creatives according to a brief and produce them for your sponsors. Of course, if it is live or pre-recorded, you'll most likely have to produce a pilot for your pitch unless you are sponsoring it yourself in which case you may not need ads unless you have a produce/service to sell.

Getting radio stations to play isn't a big problem once you buy airtime but that could be costly depending on duration of the show 10',15', 30'... frequency and spread (No. of stations). The costs vary and getting the rates are no secret. I can furnish you with rate cards if you wish but suggest you buy media through a professional or an agency.
