deb:But no where in the story points out that he traveled from Nigeria? ![]() |
The one I want to know is How did he get those into the aircraft enroute China ? 87 kg? that's more than the weight of an average man.
I assume he must have paid for extra luggages. What I still do not get is that he arrived in Beijing, checked his luggage into the airport storage and was arrested the next day when he came to pick it up. How was it not detected through the checking-in and not until he came back to pick up his luggage? If the case is truly so, China needs to step up their airport security checks. |
Damn! Some people are mindless. China of all places! He should begin to say the Lord's prayer. . . . . .he is a gone - gunned soul. |
The dolt (Obasanjo) was asked to come to Abuja and defend himself, he blatantly objected to going. Yet he knows how to travel all the way to London Business School to be delivering lectures. What a waste of an individual who has no regards for his country or its citizens, yet rides on the citizenry to enhance his person. I wish I had a shoe to throw at his humongous head. |
In a way sounds reasonable. But then immigration has been highly beneficial to the economy of the UK, there is no dispute to that fact. If avenue to tax immigrants the more is created, do you think the British government would not utilize that option? Should this topic not be in the foreign affairs section by the way? ![]() |
GettysBurg:a. Where were you during Obasanjo's administration when he stated the April 2007 election was a ''do or die'' affair? It was the worst election ever in the history of Nigeria. Till tomorrow, some of the aspirants who were rubbed of their election rights are still going to court to challenge this shame bestowed upon us by Obasanjo and Iwu. b. Where were you when Obasanjo towards the end of his political term in 2007, suddenly increased VAT from 5% to 10% for no reason but his sheer callousness. Only for Yar'Adua at the beginning of his inception, reversed it back to 5% c. Where were you when the community of Odi was razed down? Is that truly dispensable in a democratic society? d. Where were you, when political motivated killings were being undertaken across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Should I recall how a whole Attorney General under Obasanjo's regime was killed? The Late Cicero: Chief Bola Ige? Do you still want me to go on about the animal man called Obasanjo? How he continuously spat on us as Nigerians? How he wanted to force himself on Nigerians for a third term and amend the constitution just to suit his taste? Have you forgotten this was the same man who called a Man of God an idiot? A man who could not guard his mouth when it comes to Nigerians? A man who never bothered to read Nigerian newspapers, just to know how Nigerians felt and what were their heartaches. And you call this man a leader? Please spare me the BS. He truly deserves what he gets. |
OgidiBoy:Jean-Claude Van Damme is a Canadian? NO! He is actually from Brussels Belgium. ![]() |
if i have not been going through other igbo bashing threads on this site, I would have agreed with some posters here that it is wrong for Afaukwu to have turned this news into igbo news. But I wont agree with them. they are all closet tribalist (according to asha80) I did not see any of you coming out to condemn bilymuse when he said that nigeria cannot afford igbo president, and other countless igbo bashings on nairaland. why is it bad only when it is stated by igbo person. Afaukwu, carry on. onwero ife na eme.
That people might have avoided that thread should simply tell you it makes no meaning or sense. This thread from its headline was impressive, the content of the topic was impressive. It brought out achievements of Nigerian in diaspora. Only for the poster to make his first remark with a tribalistic swipe over what? - One tribe is better than the other in Nigeria.A simple illustration to that tribalistic comment can be interpreted thus: I have a bigger farm than yours, your own farmland is very small, hence I am more productive than you. What if your big farmland is ridden with all manner of pests, what productive does it serve? Rather than you fellow Igbo brethren to tell him off where he is wrong, you all rather keep encouraging him. I wonder how progress can ever meet with Nigeria. ![]() |
Can someone please tutor Arogundade on how to lie?! How could he have made this statement: He said he was in his vehicle reading newspapers hence did not witness the alleged beating and harassment of the applicants.Even if he wants to tell lies, lie with sense! |
iReport:Name three outstanding things Obasanjo did for Nigerians? This was a man who when he became President, immediately ordered for a presidential jet, and started gallivanting across the world. Name three things he has done that makes him the best leader we ever had in Nigeria. Maybe I should help you with one: 1) GSM right? ![]() |
After reading. . . . . ***Yawns*** Next thread. . . . . . . |
iReport:How would it make sense to you? Stuck-up in Nebraska, so anything that Obasanjo does is golden to you. iReport:Whoever banned you, did a good job but it was not excellent as your IP needed to have been banned as well. What happens to the biblical quote of two becoming one? Your bigotry to defend Obasanjo is truly awesome. As for the Ribadu case, Ribadu was simply a pawn under Obasanjo's chess piece and his chess games in Nigeria. blackspade:That woulda made my whole week! ![]() |
iReport:You should be flogged! Every citizen has a right to protest against its leaders. If it cannot be practiced in Nigeria, it does not mean, it cannot be done any else where in developed and more reasonable society. If it was not be, London Police would not have allowed it. I am sure, if we had tried this in Nigeria, police brutality would have followed with flooding us all with tear gas. Naija days. |
MrCrackles:I no even dey London sef, to see road come follow some student protest. But if I had the opportunity to show and express my disgust at Obasanjo, I would do it. iReport:Obasanjo has humiliated himself more than enough times. His garrulous being when he was President is more than enough for any reasonable person to detest him. This protest was not flagged by any anti-PDP charlatans, but rather students who felt the economic and harsh times in Nigeria before and during Obasanjo's government and had to leave the country. When you talk of humiliation, is the incest he committed not worthy enough of a humiliation? |
iReport:Gracious goodness! So you are the malodorous personality behind that name ''iReport.'' Will you ever change? ![]() @ topic, Obasanjo truly deserves whatever he gets in London. I wish I coulda make myself available to show the ''aluta continua'' in London. ![]() |
Why oh why? When these guys were being appointed in the US, no one thought of tribes within the Obama Government. But simpletons and low thinking beings in Nigeria and elsewhere will rather read tribalistic sentiments into it. We are our own greatest problems. ![]() |
Lagosboy:What exactly is ludicrous with online threat? ![]() Even the FBI on their website warn that once a person makes an allegation of threat, report the case as soon as possible. Scotland Yard and other security agencies across the world are all the time monitoring sites like facebook, youtube et al to detect any form of online threat, and you find that laughable? |
Nigeria we hail thee! Oyo state we hail thee! Oyato Gomina scales through once more. ''Abora'' of Oyo State once more secures his Gubernatorial seat. May development ever meet that state under Akala's administration. I really pity that state! ![]() |
It is relative and depends on what kind of friendship is being sustained. |
@ Plagiarist babs787, Babatunde, when will you give your life to Jesus Christ? ![]() You are still typing the same thing since 2006! ![]() |
I thought ''oko orun'' is when your husband is abroad and the babe is in naija? ![]() As to the topic, you are a product of your thought patterns. What you choose to believe becomes a reality. I do not believe in Spiritual Husbands or Wives as the case may be. So to whomever believes such, and it rocks their boat, FINE! |
@ topic, His CHARACTER. |
There are two sides to a coin. The scale to which Obasanjo and his cronies enriched themselves whether minimal or abysmal in respect to Power Projects should not undermine the fact that power generation has not improved in the country. Corruption was undertaken with the power projects, and that alone should make Obasanjo accountable, given how he vehemently went for his antagonist, (through the help of EFCC and other anti-corruption bodies) who were soiled with the deeds and proceeds of corruption from his own regime. |
There is the reverse psychology which I used when I had such a girl way-back. Told her, I needed to brush my teeth and mouth anytime we ended-up kissing. At a point in time, she got the message, and became more conscious to her mouth odor. |
This thread and postings in it, are all so comical. ![]() THE HUNGRY MAN ON THE STREET NEEDS RE-BRANDING. THE YAHOO-YAHOO BOY NEEDS RE-BRANDING. OUR ROAD DEATH HOLES NEEDS RE-BRANDING. THE JOBLESS GRADUATE WITH A FIRST CLASS NEEDS RE-BRANDING. OUR FAILED ELECTRICITY GENERATION NEEDS RE-BRANDING. OUR MONOTONOUS ECONOMY NEEDS RE-BRANDING. Dora should go and get her priorities right! |
@ debosky, I was actually going to add that you needed not to reply my last post as the adverb: 'too' in that mantra makes it slightly impeccable for me to articulately state my point. That said, I do hope, erring posters do take note of your postings here and adequately take appropriate judgment as deemed necessary. Cheers. |
@ debosky, Succinctly stated! I however a rejoinder to the mantra you just quoted. The fact that things should not be taken seriously, does not occlude nor preclude the fact that this section has topics that posters have posted with solicitous attention which beholds on respondents to give certain measure of seriousness when posting their replies. If this board is to seen as not being too serious, then why should people bother to post here? There is the entertainment section on this forum which bears the burden of the joke section isn't it? Just a quick post though. |
debosky:Moderator, you have been on this forum for quite a long while. You are sure familiar to the terrains of attacks and counter-attacks and tag-team collabo. To color it now with English terms such as: ''hypersensitivity or misreading of intent'' is what I would call a blithe ignorance of the true situation. (Please note: that is not an insult!) Yes, I truly agree with your point, and in order not to drag this issue on and on, I would say, your points are well taken in. Keep up the good work though. ![]() |
salsera:If these are the only documents submitted in respect to your sisters application, surely it is an easy call for the ECO in Nigeria to give a refusal. Evidences required lies basically with the applicant to show that she would be staying as required with her Aunty. Did she supply utilities bills, tenancy agreement, mortgage statement as sufficient proof that she would be staying with her aunt etc? Was the invitation letter strongly worded? A weak invitation letter is an easy call for refusal. If her aunt is the one inviting her, your sister should not state on the form she is self-sponsoring her travel and short stay to the UK. IMO, this should not go through an appeal. Let her re-apply and make corrections to the observations of the ECO, rather than expend energy into appealing. |
DaPhoenix:How you come to your conclusions so easily speaks volume your rationalization to evaluate processes. If you seek to justify your posts, I have no problem with that. But be rather mindful that plying anecdotes of diatribe in justification of your post would not serve credence to your points in any way. OMO IBO with his incessant jibber-jabber is not my grouse. But rather the means of silencing posters who do not tag along with some others reasoning in whichever thread most especially on the romance section is unbecoming. Everyone has a voice, it does not suit your hearing, move along. A perceived nairaland poster makes known his/her issue of annoyance or whatever to the moderator on this thread, tag-teams of other posters come along and attack such a poster, simply because it does not suit their taste, is totally wrong. |
@ debosky, There are quite some ironical inputs from your posting which I truly find amusing. I would endeavor to posit them out here and seek for further clarifications and as well throw out the gaff on how homosexuality addresses the Darwinian principle, expecting that within the ambience of scientific knowledge, you could reasonably answer it. Is it not ironical that you state: ''No one is saying animal homosexuality is a justification for human homosexuality, but once it exists (call it deviant, unusual, or whatever name) then it cannot be deemed UNNATURAL (since it exists in 'nature' - the world of animals)'' and furthermore affirm conclusively that: ''By that definition, homosexuality is a natural phenomenon.'' My question to you therefore, is that: What then is the justification for homosexuality in humans as a natural phenomenon, if animal homosexuality is not a justification for human homosexuality? I also seek to know from you, how homosexuality addresses one of the fundamental concept of characteristics of humans, which is REPRODUCTION. Does homosexuality allow for reproduction? If it does not, should such an act not be counted as a deviance to the laws of human nature under the scientific umbrella and most importantly under God and further down the line, to the society (Nigeria) under discussion? |
