The dolt (Obasanjo) was asked to come to Abuja and defend himself, he blatantly objected to going. Yet he knows how to travel all the way to London Business School to be delivering lectures. What a waste of an individual who has no regards for his country or its citizens, yet rides on the citizenry to enhance his person.

But then immigration has been highly beneficial to the economy of the UK, there is no dispute to that fact. If avenue to tax immigrants the more is created, do you think the British government would not utilize that option?

a. Where were you during Obasanjo's administration when he stated the April 2007 election was a ''do or die'' affair? It was the worst election ever in the history of Nigeria. Till tomorrow, some of the aspirants who were rubbed of their election rights are still going to court to challenge this shame bestowed upon us by Obasanjo and Iwu.

b. Where were you when Obasanjo towards the end of his political term in 2007, suddenly increased VAT from 5% to 10% for no reason but his sheer callousness. Only for Yar'Adua at the beginning of his inception, reversed it back to 5%

c. Where were you when the community of Odi was razed down? Is that truly dispensable in a democratic society?

d. Where were you, when political motivated killings were being undertaken across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Should I recall how a whole Attorney General under Obasanjo's regime was killed? The Late Cicero: Chief Bola Ige?

Do you still want me to go on about the animal man called Obasanjo? How he continuously spat on us as Nigerians? How he wanted to force himself on Nigerians for a third term and amend the constitution just to suit his taste? Have you forgotten this was the same man who called a Man of God an idiot? A man who could not guard his mouth when it comes to Nigerians? A man who never bothered to read Nigerian newspapers, just to know how Nigerians felt and what were their heartaches. Obasanjo has humiliated himself more than enough times. His garrulous being when he was President is more than enough for any reasonable person to detest him. This protest was not flagged by any anti-PDP charlatans, but rather students who felt the economic and harsh times in Nigeria before and during Obasanjo's government and had to leave the country.

There are two sides to a coin. The scale to which Obasanjo and his cronies enriched themselves whether minimal or abysmal in respect to Power Projects should not undermine the fact that power generation has not improved in the country. Corruption was undertaken with the power projects, and that alone should make Obasanjo accountable, given how he vehemently went for his antagonist, (through the help of EFCC and other anti-corruption bodies) who were soiled with the deeds and proceeds of corruption from his own regime.

There is the reverse psychology which I used when I had such a girl way-back. Told her, I needed to brush my teeth and mouth anytime we ended-up kissing. At a point in time, she got the message, and became more conscious to her mouth odor.

The fact that things should not be taken seriously, does not occlude nor preclude the fact that this section has topics that posters have posted with solicitous attention which beholds on respondents to give certain measure of seriousness when posting their replies.

If this board is to seen as not being too serious, then why should people bother to post here? There is the entertainment section on this forum which bears the burden of the joke section isn't it? Just a quick post though.

I agree with this, but with a few qualifications. If it doesn't suit you, you are free to express opposition to that voice - in a non-aggressive and civil manner. We can't stop two people from posting similar opinions that they individually agree on just to appear not to be 'ganging up'. As long as you express your opinion without insults and with due civility, no opinions should be withheld or restricted.

If these are the only documents submitted in respect to your sisters application, surely it is an easy call for the ECO in Nigeria to give a refusal.

Evidences required lies basically with the applicant to show that she would be staying as required with her Aunty. Did she supply utilities bills, tenancy agreement, mortgage statement as sufficient proof that she would be staying with her aunt etc? Was the invitation letter strongly worded? A weak invitation letter is an easy call for refusal. If her aunt is the one inviting her, your sister should not state on the form she is self-sponsoring her travel and short stay to the UK.

IMO, this should not go through an appeal. Let her re-apply and make corrections to the observations of the ECO, rather than expend energy into appealing.

Other people's posts were deleted too and you don't see us complaining or whining in his case as Dereloaded rightly put it because we knew it was off topic.
