JustCalMeDBoss: Which judgment and which "heary" attack? My dear, this is 2015 Nigeria and not Abacha-era Nigeria. The Judiciary is prepared for change and will not grant frivolous midnight kangaroo injunctions to PDP and its cronies. Everyone has gotten wiser. |

Hussyhope84: Thank God that not everyone is reasoning in a one way traffic! I remember a friend whose wedding is days away. The wife to be was in another city while the man was in Lagos. One day, he decided to travel by night bus to see her so that they can ratify a few matters. Guess what, my guy got there by 5.30am and behold, another man slept with her in her home. When my guy knocked, there was pandemonium in the the room. He went ahead to marry her but 3 months into the marriage, he discovered to his chagrin that she was still going to visit a second boyfriend in Lagos (he stumbled on recent love letters). No be person tell am to divorce the LovePeddler. It really cost him monetarily, emotionally and psychologically. |

We have a saying in my area that you don't praise one side of a wall. You have told your own story from your own biased angle. You started by telling us the guy's age but you hid yours. Secondly, you mentioned how you have been ago samaritan and a "salvation army" to him. In all the relationships I know, it is the guys that put in more materially while ladies invest more of emotions. It sounds so good to hear that he jilted you for no just course, but is the purpose of dating not to find out if you can live together? That aside some of have encountered ladies that display some horrible character during dating that one will be going ahead with the marriage at his own peril. If you discover such a serious flaw, what you do is to do a tactical withdrawal. I once "fashied" a girl that insisted on money for her attachment "today-today" while my senior sister was dying in the Hospital and I was running helter skelter. In as much as I sympatize with you based on the timing of the breakup, I still wish I could hear the other side of the story. 3 Likes |

Dear Mr Satguru Ji, if the fate of Nigeria is really in your hands as you claim, why then are you urging Nigerians to vote for a particular candidate. That alone shows you are fake (of course which Nigerian does not know that you are fake?) Abeg pack for one corner make better people talk. 1 Like |

Family / Re: Churches And Wedding Wahala. What Is Your Take On This? by patostation(m): 5:14am On Mar 19, 2015 |
pastorKosiso: PastorKosi kindly prove your point from the Bible if you are indeed a pastor. You are vehement in standing for church wedding because that is where you "chop" from and you don't want anyone to put "sand-sand" for your garri. At John chapter two a 'marriage feast was mentioned (the one Jesus attended), not a church wedding. Even the first marriage conducted by God himself was not a wedding (Gen 2:18-24). So where did pastor Kosi and his fellow pastors get the white wedding from? 1 Like |

Splashme: Have we not all been around all these years? We know those with a track record of dodging debates. Mr Jonathan is the foremost dodger of debates. Obasanjo never debated anyone during his own time. Even now, I am confident that GMB is a more confident speaker than GEJ. GMB is merely paying PDP in their own coin. 2 Likes |

DrLikita: I doubt if you watched the Okrika APC rally violence. if you did, you won't be saying the same thing. When war breaks out due to the incitement and brazen action of people like PEJ, you will even prefer washing rotten linens in the open. Since nobody can control her in Nigeria as her husband is the Lord of the Manor, it is better for ICC to handle her. Would Ibori had gone to jail if Nigerian courts were allowed to handle his case? openmine: It is no longer news that it is actually PDP that sponsored many of these faceless, inconsequential mushroom political elements. We have seen enough of this kind of manipulation during the Abacha era. The idea is to create the make-belief that every damn group is endorsing the president. With all these endorsements, PDP is still uncomfortable hence the vilification of Jega and the ridiculing of INEC and the use of card readers. Truth be told, many of these groups,eg traditional rulers are just a handful of persons. Compared with millions of ordinary people who will vote, their voices turn out to be inconsequential 1 Like |

Politics / Nigerian Politics: More Desperation, Less Service by patostation(m): 1:48pm On Mar 10, 2015 |
These are desperate times for many Nigerian politicians! Some are willing to do whatever it takes to win an election or retain their position. We have seen politicians that have hired assasins against their opponents. We have equally seen the use of godfathers and thugs. Not to be forgotten are politicians that have been made to swear oaths. The case of TA Orji at Okija and Gbenga Daniel at an oracle is still fresh in our minds. We thank God that the Adedibus and the Oloyes of Nigerian politics are making way for saner politicking. But then the desperation remains. otherwise, what do we call the attempt by some political parties to prevent the election from taking place, even when billions have been wasted on the preparations and campaigns? Why the sudden attack and villification of INEC and Prof Jega? Why the attempt by some powerful political interests to change the already agreed procedure at the 9th hour? Why are some political interests trying to use unknown entities such as the YDP (Young Dem. Party) to truncate the political process? Why are we hearing of interim government when an election is about to be conducted? In most democracies, running for office is essentially for service and fame, not for the money. They do not run a do-or-die race out there, even in other African countries. When will our politicians learn this lesson? Instead of going to graveyards, groves, shrines and churches to seek for power, can our politicians learn first the meaning of democracy - government of the people by the people for the people!

eligibility: In fact, many sitting presidents have been losing elections lately starting from Ghana. But in the case of Tunisia, the interesting thing is that the new president is about 80 years old! Personaly, I don't care about the President's age, I don't care about his religious creed, I don't care about his ethnic origin or tribe, I don't give a damn if he "holds" an MSc, PGD or PhD. I don't even care if he can browse the net, play basketball or judo. All I care about is, can he do the job? Can he give us stable electricity? Can he stop the importation of petroleum products? Can he put criminals behind bars and secure the rest of us? Can he create jobs for the teeming youths? Can he return the recurrent expenditure in the yearly budget from 90% to 30% so that more money will be available for infrastructural development. Can he or she return agriculture to what it was in the 1960s. Very simple simple things. I'm tired of hearing that Mr President has "done well". We no longer need someone who will "move Nigera forward" but someone who will get the job done. 1 Like |

Kingspin: True, I have certificates and can present them at short notice. But I'm not usually bamboozled high-sounding certificates. In all my years in the HR Department, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly "certificate holders". Some cannot express themselves, some have funny CVs, some cannot complete a spoken or written sentence without kindergaten-level errors. I always wondered how they "graduated". Take the "first lady" as an example. I have heard people say that she too "graduated" with a "certificate" or probably "certificates". But I'm not just convinced. Now check out the madam representing the KOWA Party, you will agree that "if it is not Panadol, it is not the same thing as Panadol"! |

andyanders: You just spoke my mind. Just watch our so-called PHD "holder" speak. No coherence, no poise, no eloquence, no fluency, no free flowing gramatical sequence. Even when reading from his normal prepared address, he will keep stumbling. But I get amazed when the "certificate-less" candidate speaks. Apart from his accent, he can hold an audience spellbound for hours, reeling out dates, facts and figures accurately. When I now check achievements on the ground, I cannot help admiring the one without certificate than the "clueless" PHD holder. |
