Faraidi: So your understanding of democracy is that when someone is an illitrate contestant, you protest against him abi? Since you still do not understand how democracy works, I will give you a kindergaten version. Democracy means that people choose who they prefer, whether tall or short, black or yellow, animist or jewish, illitrate or educated. The person chosen by the majority is winner. So you don't need to protest against anybody, just make your choice. How old are you? Less than 5 years abi? Doo. |

ola6: Are you the one to determine who rules or is it Nigerians? How many heads do you have and how many PVCs do you own. How many votes do you have? Some of you are so haughty, arrogant and fooolish to the extent that you think that the power to determine who rules Nigeria is in your hands. In a democracy! I'm sorry for you. |
Politics / Re: Jonathan Meets Igbo Leaders & Elders In Lagos (photos) by patostation(m): 2:08am On Feb 22, 2015 |
I am Ibo. I don't know those people neither do they know me. So how can they be my leaders? Second, if I were to vote, I'll not need their consent neither can they influence who I vote for. Again, those so-called leaders are not up to a hundred persons. Their 100 votes will not change any election statistics. So why the waste of time. 1 Like |
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO BUT I WILL STILL VOTE FOR BUHARI #30TH MARCH CELEBRATION WARMING UP[/quote Let's look at it this way: You have two managers for your company. One squandered all the resources you gave it, made the company less safer for the workers and haboured criminal employees. Above all, he made losses year in year out, turning most workers into unemplyment. The second manager also does not make profit, but he does not not waste your funds and does not tolerate criminal workers. Also this manager guarantees a safer working environment for the staff and management. Which of the two is better? Even though both managers fail in running a profitable company, I think I'll stick with the second manager until I get a better one. That is GEJ and GMB for you. 1 Like |

drololaaof: As if you don't know why he was promoted and redeployed to Lagos! The PDP government has has found a veritable tool in him, especially when it concerns states with ruling opposition parties. His present "job description" includes but not limited to intimidation of Federal Govt 'opponents', harrassment of citizens, scaring voters from coming out on election day, cowing citizens from speaking or acting their mind, making the federal govt happy. |
Politics / Re: WAEC Posts Irrelevant Advertorial On Buhari's Certificate In Guardian Newspaper by patostation(m): 9:33pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
GEJ with all his "PHD" cannot make a correct flawless sentence without reading it from a prepaired paper. Even while he is reading from the prepaired speech, he always blabs and stumbles. When his wife, who I am meant to understand is also a "graduate" speaks, you get ashamed. But check out GMB "who has no certificate". Apart from his traditional Hausa-Fulani accent, he can hold an audience spellbound for hours, speaking confidently, intelligently and coherently without looking at any paper. If you ask me, GMB acts "presidential" more than the Otuoke man, keep certificates aside. 1 Like |
Culture / Re: Osu Caste System! Such A Terrible Practice!! by patostation(m): 8:52pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
Due to this wicked system, many Igbos who know how hard it is to marry with such stigma hanging on their necks now marry people from other tribes. |
Culture / Re: Osu Caste System! Such A Terrible Practice!! by patostation(m): 8:40pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
knowledgeable: The wicked system still thrives. As the OP mentioned, no marriage proceeds without the usual "enquiry" about one's "Osu status". Except there is an 'accidental pregnancy'. I know a Jehovah's Witness man whose daughter married an "Osu". The man's kinsmen had to fence him in to prevent further contact with the rest of the family. As they claim, when a 'nwa-afo' marries an "Osu", his entire family is contaminated, not just the main culprit. Ostracism becomes the rule. |
Culture / Re: Osu Caste System! Such A Terrible Practice!! by patostation(m): 8:17pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
Radoillo: Very correct. Anyone that bears "Nwosu" is certainly not an "Osu" in Igboland. You can check it out. |
Culture / Re: Osu Caste System! Such A Terrible Practice!! by patostation(m): 8:03pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
Jennydoris: It's all hypocricy. Let me use my town as an example. There, the so-called 'Osu' are responsible for the major developmental projects. God has always blessed the Osu more in every village. When they bring their money, the 'nwadiala' accepts it without discrimination. Many 'nwadiala' are involved in sexual relationships with the 'osu'. Even the 'osus' participate in social events and sports. But when it comes to marriage, you are on your own. Nobody wants to marry an 'osu'. Even when the couple wishes to marry, the 'nwadiala' kinsmen will make sure it does not happen. Is that not hypocricy? 5 Likes |
Nairaland / General / Re: INEC Officially Shifts Nigeria’s Election Date To March 28 And April 11 by patostation(m): 6:50am On Feb 08, 2015 |
TOPCRUISE: They first sent someone to London to fly the Kite regarding postponement. Then they sponsored some elements to protest in Abuja. The rented protesters were later seen sharing money. When keen observers saw the "voice of Joseph and hand of Esau" in the unfoldong drama, the clueless government denied being behind the secret move to postpone the elections. Even INEC claimed that elections will not be shifted. But we knew that they will, as it were, put a gun on INEC's head to shift the date. Then the Senior Special Assistant to the clueless one mustered courage to tell us why postponement is essential, thereby owning up and confirming our suspicion that the clueless govt was indeed behind the underhand moves. And now they have equally succeeded in arm-twisting and intimidating Jega to change the election date. We are watching! 3 Likes 1 Share |

GoldCircle: There is nothing like remote control there. People are going through a lot in GEJs Nigeria. Forget the mantra of "Africa's Largest Economy". Many are wrecked economically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Some are in debt. Many families are being supported with little provisions. Unemployment has driven many young men to their death or into crime. If you investigate this case, you will find physiological roots 1 Like |

This form of security for officials is wrong. It leads to wastage of man hours and the incovenience of citizens. These so-called rulers should be our servants not our lords. What is more, nothing is actually being secured this way. In more civilized democracies, the security services make elaborate arrangements too, but not for bullying citizens. You could snap picture at No 10 Downing Street if you wish. Same for the White House. My experience was the same when GEJ visited Lagos sometime ago. I ask, what are they even afraid of. The answe: their misrule keeps haunting them. 1 Like |
