Religion / Re: Interpretation Of Tongues Spoken In "Way Maker" By Sinach by patostation(m): 7:06am On Nov 29, 2016 |
thorpido: On the contrary, if you read the Bible book of Acts chapter 2, you will realise that 'tongues' spoken by Jesu's disciples are real languages. Languages spoke by Arabians, Elamites, Parthians, Libyans, Medians etc. These people heard clearly the disciples speaking their own languages. Those languages were no mumbo jumbo Again, Apostle Paul writing at 1Corinthians 14, warned Christians about speaking jargons in the name of speaking in tongues. Specifically, he said that if anyone's 'tongues' cannot be interpreted, the person is indeed speaking to the air. Confirm verses 8 - 10 and 16. My point is, using other people's languages to communicate with them is Christian. Speaking some uninterpretable mumbo jumbo and claiming that it is a gift of speaking in tongues is clearly unchristian |

EyeHateGod: No mind them. Every Tom, Dick or Harry who watches CNN can equally "prophesy" about this outcome. If this is what they call prophecy, then God is right when he said that he did not send these so-called prophets. Speaking through the TRUE prophet, Jeremiah, God said at Jer. 14:14, "falsehood is what the prophets are prophesying in my name". In the 23rd chapter of Jeremiah, God consistently clarified his disdain for the so-called prophets. A look at verses 11, 14, 21, 23-27, 30-32 will give you an insight into God's view. If Pastor Joshua wanted to "prophecy" about the American election, he should have done so one year ago. As of now, we have all read the polls, watched the analysis, seen the debates and scandals. Who will not GUESS what the outcome will be, two days before the election? 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Lagos State Bans LAGBUS Buses From Operating In BRT Lane by patostation(m): 9:35am On Nov 05, 2016 |
I am seriously thinking of how the new decision will affect commuters on routes where no blue bus operates. I am thinking of Ikeja-Maryland, Fadeyi-Yaba-Oyingbo, Iddo-Eko/Idumota/CMS axis. There are other routes where the red buses 'come to the rescue'. 1 Like |

caracas: Your assessment is very accurate. Some of us that use the service know the difference. First the BRT fare is higher, the process of getting tickets is slow, sometimes you come out early to the bus stop and there will be no Ticketer. The most annoying situation is when you are running late and your BRT enters a bus stop waiting for it's turn to get to the passenger queue. Very frustrating. But when you talk of the LAGBUS, you talk of flexibility in rates, in payment while the bus is on the move, no red tapes, and the routes are varied too. Common Lagos, allow the two to work side by side 3 Likes |
Religion / Re: MMM Being Advertised In RCCG Church Service (Photos) by patostation(m): 8:04am On Oct 31, 2016 |
For those still wondering whether this is right or wrong, let us cast our mind back to Jesus' action when he saw the house of God being used for commercial purposes (My 21:12,13; Lu 19:45, 46). The lesson: using the house of God for commercial purposes - bazaar, buying, selling, auction, adverts, currency exchange, thrift schemes etc is akin to turning it into a Swindler's house of robbery 2 Likes |

Now the guy has been arraigned in a court of law why are we flexing unnecessary muscles. I have been praying for the man to be taken to court so that this issue can be judicially tested. If he is jailed we will all learn from it. If he is freed, he will likely demand damages and we will also learn from it. Let us be civilised in our reactions. 1 Like |
Religion / Re: Northern Christians Form NNCA, As They Break Away From CAN by patostation(m): 7:01am On Aug 15, 2016 |
To the best of my assessment, these are not Christians. Christians are the followers of Jesus' footsteps. What we have are spiritual and political harlots and charlatans parading themselves as Christians and dividing our people. What will happen if they obey God's Word for once and get united as 1 Corinthians 1:10 admonishes? Have they ever read verses 12-15 of that 1Cor 1 which talks about each individual or group claiming allegiance to Paul or Apollos and how they were corrected? Jesus warns us through Apostle John at Rev. 18:4 to break away from these folks is we do not want to share in their sins and punishment. He that has ears let him hear! |

This reminds me of Jesus' words at Luke 12:15 in which he reiterated that even when a person has many possessions, his life does not result from his possessions. Neither does happiness. This man was a landlord, had an expensive car, probably had other things, yet he committed suicide I see hundreds daily struggling to ecke out a living, they live under bridge, have no support, enjoy no comfort, have no money to marry. Even then, the remain hopeful |

gonkraziiiiii: In addition, this will continue to happen as long as people refuse to listen to the owner of Christianity, God himself. God has alerted us severally on how to identity religious fraudsters (Acts 20:28,29; Mt 7:13,14, 20-23; Mt 24:24,25; Jeremiah 5:26-31). Most important, and every miracle-seeking fellow need to know this: the Bible clearly warns that PRESENT DAY miracles work is "according to the operation of Satan" for "those who are perishing" and "those who believe the lie" and "forsake the truth that they might be saved". Therefore God " allows them to continue in their delusion". All this you will find at 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 Anyone who takes pleasure in unrighteousness can continue to flock to miracle centres like ants flock around sugar. Anything you get there is your own cup of tea. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. 1 Like |
Religion / A Hilarious Sirtire By A Social Media User On The Last Id El Fitri Holiday by patostation(m): 10:09am On Jul 31, 2016 |
The Federal Government of Nigeria declared an extra holiday in addition to the two days earlier marked for the Muslim Id El Fitri from the 5-7 July, 2016. Here are some sirtirical statements attributed to some individuals, agencies and groups in this regard as culled from a social media user: INEC: The sighting of the moon was inconclusive NLC: We are studying the situation of the moon-sighting imbroglio. If necessary we may direct workers to embark on a national strike if the Federal Government does not declare additional work-free days. Abuja High Court: The sighting of the moon has been adjourned till the next day. CAN: The muslims saw the moon and hid the information, a grand plan to elongate the sallah holidays and ultimately Islamize Nigeria. EFCC: All those responsible for the missing moon will be apprehended and charged to court. We have a thousand and one evidence against them. Niger Delta Avengers (NDA): we will not hesitate to bomb and bomb any vestiges of the moon. APC: We will create another moon for Nigerians when our government fully kicks off. Boko Haram: We are responsible for the absence of the moon in the Nigerian sky. Presindency: Due the non-sighting of the moon, the Board of the Ulamas has been dissolved. Senate: The sighting of the moon was altered. A committee will be set up to review the moon document. The chairman of the senate committee on observation, Senator David Mark will head this committee. GEJ: If only Nigerians had given me a second chance, sighting of the moon would not have been a problem. PMB: Our inability to sight the moon happened because the last administration was clueless. Gen. Buratai: The problem of non-sighting of the moon will be a thing of the past as soon as more troops are deployed to the moon site. US: We know where the moon is; but we don’t want to say it for security reasons. UK: We are calling on Nigeria to to use a referendum to determine to be using moons to declare holidays or not. Ayo Fayose: The APC clueless government was the cause of the moon non-sighting in Nigeria. Lai Mohammed: The moon has already been sighted tomorrow. Femi Falana: I will obtain a court injunction to restrain the moon, its agents, servants and/or privies from appearing, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit via the motion on notice. Hon. Patrick Obiahagbon: The moon sighting anomaly in respect of the Crescentic moon illumina in the cellestial and atmospheric galaxy is tanatamount to more crinkum crankum and a lot more hoola baloo. Association of Wailing Wailers: If the non-sighting of the moon results in additional Muslim holidays we hope that by next Easter, when we ask Mary Magdalene if Jesus has risen from the grave and she says no; Christians can get an extra holiday too. |
