I am not usually moved when, after making a bad statement, someone will come back and claim being quoted out of context or misrepresented. Does it mean that the news company just woke up and forged those statements? Or did the respected Prof say something like that. Didn't the Oba of Lagos also claim that he was quoted out of context? There is no smoke without fire! |
Charly68:You are wrong there. Among the infamous armed robbers like Shina Rambo, Oyenusi, Anini, Yopele Dakoru etc, none is Igbo. Drug pushing: I am yet to be convinced that Igbos are pushing more drugs than Yorubas and Edos. If I start counting Yoruba actors and actresses arrested at the airports in the past 10years alone, I will lose count. How about 419 and Yahoo-Yahoo? Which tribe was exposed that ran a large identity, credit card and drug network in the US recently? Which tertiary institutions and in which areas specialize in "Yahoo Studies" (Theory and Practice)? Fact is, holier-than-thou posturing aside, we all have bad eggs in all our tribes. Crimes outside Nigeria is not the only reason Nigeria has a bad name. The ruling class has been tarnishing our image for ages. They have been stealing our country dry. And most of those that have been ruling are not Igbo. Let us stop behaving as the proverbial ostrich that buried its head in the sand while its massive body remain exposed |
stayblack:When people generalize this way, I wonder if their own tribe is made up of angels. Every rational and normal person knows that there is the good, the bad and the ugly in every tribe and nation. Let him that has no sin cast the first stone! The person wey im teeth show na im get the biggest teeth no be so? We know ourselves. So let us condemn the criminal, not innocent people elsewhere making a living through honest means. |
pretydiva:I always wonder from the showmanship, lifestyle, glitz, razzmatazz(?) and seeming opulence of many Nollywood stars and musicians whether they are actually as wealthy as they appear. Some live in choice property in Lekki, flaunting state of the art cars in their garrage, and tour the world at will. Then when they are sick or when they die, you start to hear about how they have been neglected by colleagues, government etc. My question is this: what these celebrities earn and flaunt, is it part of the drama? If (God forbid) Debanj or Alibaba gets sick tomorrow, will we hear of the same neglect? When Blackface, Tina Sam Loco, Obiekwe .... Let me leave it there joor. |
ijustdey:The guy don enter one chance but e never know. That girl's heart and mind is still with her ex. When her ex is through with his current girlfriend, she will quickly latch back on him. Trust me, he is just a temporary backup! |
And as they are lamenting and shedding crocodile tears, their corner eyes will be browsing and searching for food and drinks. Mourners indeed! |
We keep hearing of Sambisa "Forest" which gives the impression that the place is an inpenetrable evil coven or dungeon. How thick is a forest on the edge of the Sahel, near the desert? Next they say it's several hundred kilometers. Then they say the are withdrawing for tactical reasons. We know when our soldiers are tired or scared or both. GEJ please get them minesweepers. They need to finish the job |
stnwani:And to worsen the situation, the Ewedu leaves are wacked and mashed with sweeping broom while it is cooking! Later, it is garnished with stew prepared from (fresh) tomatoes and lots of (fresh) pepper and, a recipe for frequent toilet trips. Have you ever shared toilet with someone who ate Amala prepared from fresh (not rotten yams)? You'll be hearing "yeeh", "yeeh", "aahh", "unmm", "yeeh". No mind me. Just joking. Amala is still one of the best food for diabetics. |
In Bright Chimezie's voice..... Police e, police eeh, police lee; the black woman wey dey there, she's commiting suicide! |
See o. Jonathan wan begin to dey show him power at the eleventh hour? Last week, he say e no go sign constitution ammendment. This week, e sack IGP. Na wa o. One month to hand over!!! |
OweiFaki:Ladies have been observed carrying odd items like nails, corn-cub, extra drusses, tissue rolls, bathroom slippers, condoms, dildos, even hammer and screw driver. Do you know that your own wife will take offense is you ever try to open her handbag? And when a call comes in, an average lady will do a 10-minute ultimate search before finding her phone. Very wierd. |
So Mr Abati tell us the correct amount. If we don't get the correct figures from you, we will have no choice than to believe the story. Afterall, many of us use our korokoro eyes see the Abuja PDP fund raiser |
bros856:Additionall, Allison-Madueke and a few other parasites of the Jonathan administration did not envisage the triumph of Buhari at the polls. They were assured by the 'election rigging comittee' that nothing will go wrong, that Buhari will never smell Aso Rock. But to their chagrin and dismay, against all their expectations, the General won. Since the loss to GMB came as a big surprise and since they did not have time to make transfers, doctor the accounts and 'tidy up' the books, they are now panicking. |
iyatrustee:Yes major marketers like that Agbo-Jedi Mobile Trado-Medical Road-side Clinic at Ikeja Under Bridge. There, you can get your "Cure All" concoctions for Gornorrhea, Gonocaccus, 'GonoAthritis', Chancroid, 'Ota-garri' (garri-eating virus), 'oko babangida' (Babangida scratch), 'Toilet Infection', Syphilis, Hepatitis, 'Website Boil', Candida, 'Bus stop' Scratch, HIV, AIDS, Weak Erecction,Waist Pain, Watery Sperm, Vaginal Discharge, |
sCun:Hammer House Of Horror, Hammer Family Of Horror, Family Home of Horror! |
egift:No mind the liar.No one will even go near the transformer if it was properly installed. This man thinks we are children that he can tell tortoise story. And the guy is already looking forward to 2019 already! And his cock and bull story is to help contain the puplic outrage at his action |
In Britain and America, officials resign when people lose confidence in them, or when their character is called into question. In Naija, officials resign when their tenure remain one week! |
What pained him most is that he failed woefully. He didn't take the second position. And not even the third position. |
I have worked in two companies where the owners were deep into spiritism. The first was in Apapa (Warehouse Road) where the CEO, a woman sold furnitures (Mangrove Furnishing Limited). This woman, a divorcee laced the whole showroom and offices with charms - under the rugs, behind picture frames, everywhere! The very day Idiscovered that I was sitting inside the pit of demons, I lost my job. Curiously, some staff new about it and kept quiet. The second company is in Ikoyi, a big, private oil and gas company. one day, the chairman/CEO one day asked me to light incense all over the office by 7pm before leaving (I used to hold the keys of the complex and usually closed last). Due to my religious belief, I just could not do that. And I knew that there'll be trouble the next day. So I instructed a surbudinate about the chairman's wishes. How the man found out that I was not the person who lit the candles and incense still surprises to this day. He summoned the entire staff to the boardroom next day where he bared his fangs about many acts of indiscipline and used my case as an example. One perculiar thing about this organisation is that all new female staff must be "tasted" by Oga before their employment is confirmed. I still left that job even though the pay was very good. |
Viciyus:Illitrate! There are more than 450 tribes in Nigeria. To an illitrate, if a person is not Hausa or Yoruba, he must be Ibo. Go take some evening lessons in Geography and Social Studies. |
MadCow1:Osa or Osas is Edo |
I am amazed at the level of reasoning being exhibited by many on this forum. Let us take a step back and ask: What sin did the Igbo in Lagos commit? Is it possible that all Igbo people will vote for a particular candidate? Even if they hold a family meeting to decide which candidate to vote for, are they the only ones to vote for that candidate? What about the Yoruba, Hausa, Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw, Tiv, Jukun, Bini, Birom, Igala, Efik, Ibibio and hundreds of other tribes in Lagos? Can these ones vote according to their conscience? Can Yorubas in Port Hacourt, Kano, England, USA, Italy be cajoled, coerced and threatened on who to cast their votes for? Why is Obama, the son of a Kenyan ruling America? Why are there Yoruba members of parliament and mayors in UK and USA even when the they are from other countries? When will tribalism and ethnicism end in Nigeria? When will Nigeria REALLY "move forward"? |
"He is my uncle". By the, she is referring to her sugar daddy. "I have missed my period" She wants to gauge the extent of your commitment and responsibility. Just another lie! |
Ahnahyaw:If one is to "subdue the flesh" once in a year (ie on good friday) what good will that do? How will that lead to "a better christian life? Instead of being dogmatic and continue a 'follow-follow' tradition of men, I encourage beleivers (Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, even Animist believer) to be reasonable and ask questions regarding their beliefs. If your religion was beqeated on you by your parents, you even have more reasons to question frivolous and meaningless dogma. Some of our forefathers killed twins out of religious beliefs. Today, we know better. Please let us be belivers with reasonable reasons (James 3:17) |
oluwaisaac:The same for other "christian" doctrines such as christmas, easter, valentine, ash wednesday, birthday, laity and clergy distinction, church titles (father, reverend), If you doubt google it |
MuguliciousMUGU:So you TANoids still get mouth after the public disgrace you got few days ago. |
My area of concern is where the "man of God" kept saying that "If I go" and "when I go" (which I take to mean when he dies). When that eventuality finally happens (it is inevitable for us all), Deeper Life as we know it will not be the same (another eventuality for all man-made and man-owned churches). Already the "man of God" has started sensing danger while he is still alive. That's why he has started giving warning about the kind of person he will hand over to (of course I'm convinced that he will not hand over HIS church to anyone except when death calls). My point is that Deeper Life and other "man-owned churches" will most likely break up or go into oblivion when their OWNERS die |
How does he know? Is he a necromancer? Does he read minds? Did all Nigerian voters inform him of their choice or is he just posturing? Some people just come out to spill trash. |
onatisi:The same excuse PDP cronies keep peddling every year - "our democracy is young", "we are a third world country" "It too America 1000 years to get where they are", "we are laying the foundation for stable power", "transformation takes time" bla bla bla. Obasanjo came in and used 8yrs to build foundation, Yaradua used his ti me to build foundation, GEJ is transforming Nigeria with foundations, when will the building start? |
