You are very correct about Elanga's style being similar to Martial's. I like Elanga but i need to see more from him next season because he needs to step up and mature a bit more in order to make it here.

I have actually mentioned him here before. The problem is that he is yet another player who seems to favor the left wing forward position. This was me mentioning him some months back.

I missed it. You are right, he needs to work on his finishing and decision making to get to the next level.

What do you make of Benrahma?

Afrodoc, I stumbled on a certain Anthony Elang who plays in our academy, he is very similar to Martial in his play style though looks faster. How come you haven't mentioned him here?

Also, what is your take on Said Benrahma?

Even the Ajax UCL run look to me as fluke and one season show. Sure there are very good players among them but some are overrated. One of their best players Veltman just signed for Brighton for 900k. De Jong is struggling at Barca, Same thing with Deligt at Juve. Even our own Blind was beasting there.
Same with Monaco of 2017. Only Mbappe, Fabinho and B.silva were good. The rest were flops

Although there are exceptions, Suarez, Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Eriksson, Stam and Ibrahimovic

De Jong is not struggling, he was the best midfielder for Barca this past season.

Whatever these guys do, OGS needs to build these players energy level, I don't know how. We should be winning the ball high up the pitch where we can quickly cause damage before they regroup. It's annoying watching them retreat into our half before they try to win the ball back

How Pep and Klopp manage to keep their players running for 90mins is a mystery...

I don't want to believe certain players are built to player that way, even if it's true, I am certain not all the players in their respective teams are built to play that way but they somehow manage to get them running for 90mins.

DE Bruyne is the Messi of Midfielders, he does what you expect him to do as if he is sitting on the bench and watching the game.

Bruno is good but he needs to learn to manage his energy more and pick his moments. I have seen Bruno pressing when the rest of the team and comfortable to sit back, that's him expending way too much energy and it cost him during the tale end of the season.

One area I want to see improvement is in our team play, we have to know when to press and when to defend, we have to play like a unit and not what we have now where the strikers press and the Midfielders sit back or the other way around. Hopefully with the transfer open, we take advantage to strengthen the team. #GGMU
