I love the aggressiveness of Brandon Williams, let him continue playing aggressive football. Wayne Rooney was very good in his younger days because he was aggressive, he could bully any CB but when SAF prevailed on him to calm down, he lost a bit of that drive.

I think Ighalo is still trying to improve his fitness. He was visibly tired in the 2nd half of the game he started.
Remember he came in from China without game time.
I expect that he will soon become the starting CF in the interim with Martial on the left and James/Greenwood on the right.

It's either Bailly stays fit and partners with Maguire or Ole gives minutes to Tuanzebe in preparation for next season or we hit the market. We desperately need a stable back four and to be honest, Lindelof just doesn't cut it. He's always panicky on the ball when pressured, we deserve more or better.

The midfield looks to be sorting out itself. Hopefully, with the return of Pogba and McTominay back to fitness, we improve even more...

The attack is the problem area. We need to sort out that CF and RWF position come summer. In the meantime, Martial should be shunted out to the left and Ighalo through the middle. I'd say Greenwood should play as the RWF but I know most coaching will always want to have that one forward on the bench. Whatever happened to James...

We dropped lots of points this season because he kept playing his 4231 formation with Lingard and Perreira when a 433 would’ve done the job.

Ole doesn’t want to put Martial on the wings for some reason. He’s not playing the team to their full strength. Ighalo will always keep CBs busy and will be in the box for crosses. Martial won’t.

Ole is just hell bent on playing Martial through the middle even though we have looked more threatening with Ighalo up top.

I'm not saying DDG is perfect but he still has it in him. I expect that we should be talking about our lackluster second half performance wherein, we were bad collectively as a team.

Ole is not helping with his selection and tactics. It's obvious that with Martial up front, CBs can go take a piss and nothing will change so why is Ole still playing Martial up front when we have Ighalo who would have the CBs ruffled? Martial and Greenwood both want the ball to feet most of the time, Mason is even better at making those runs but both won't fight for every ball like Ighalo would. If we must play 4 - 4 - 2, let Ighalo pair with either of Martial or Greenwood until Rashford is back or switch to 4 3 3 or 4 2 3 1 and have Martial cut in from the left and James/Greenwood from the right.

For Me the best GK in EPL is Nicky Pope. For 3 seasons that guy has been ridiculously posting top performances.

Rooney scored the overhead kick in 2010/2011 season, he wasnt struggling AT ALL. that was the season Rooney said he wants out and infact he is going to City, he was sulking all through, immediately his contract was sorted out he was back to his best. Infact Fergie for the first have to virtually BEG Rooney, something he has never done before. After that episode, Fergie started scouting for Rooney's replacement, when he finally got RVP, Rooney became absolutely dispensable, infact Fergie benched and substitute him indiscriminately, strip him of penalty taking and made it absolutely clear to him that he is not the main man. When Fergie was retiring he told Moyes not renew Rooney's contract, that he should offload Rooney. Moyes didn't have the courage and gave Rooney an astronomical wage contract. That became a very grave mistake, just like this current DDG contract.

DDG is not having a rough patch ogbeni, since 2018 world cup DDG has been dropping clangers and conceding from tame shots, he does that with constant regularity, thats is not a rough Patch. Lehmann, Cassillas, Barthez, Cech and Oliver Khan had these things. Not everyone will do a Buffon and Van der Sar.
Messi and Ronaldo dont go through bad patch for 2 years, once they do that, their contract will be reviewed. You are just being sentimental with DDG. I didnt see you say that Matic was having a bad patch for 2 years when suggesting he should be sold.

For DDG, i was crying in the summer to get rid of him quickly or at least not to give him that contract. BOOM! a huge pay, I was surprised as was this an appreciation for the wonderful years his had with us or a reflection of his current ability? The former seems true for me. The signs are very clear, DDG is not even among the top 10 GK in the league, never mind the world. I think the best is absolve the loss and move on. But this has happened to us one too many times. DDG is going through a bad patch, it happens to every player not named Messi or Ronaldo. I remember when Rooney was struggling to do even the basics for a period of time before he scored that screamer against City.

Yes. Since Martial has decided to keep blowing hot and cold we need to get another CF. I would not spend on defence for now. A CF, a RW, 1 midfielder (if Pogba stays) or 2 midfielders (if Pogba goes).

If Pogba stays, then we are fine in midfield. With McTominay, Fred, Pogba and Bruno, all we need do is ease the likes of Garner into the first team. I reckon Matic will stay one more season.
