English press, if anything, mostly fight English players. Or they favour one English player over another in competition for call up to national team How did Lingard play up to 200 games here? Hype... |

pazienza: Doucoure is still good. Remember that Wjinaldum of Liverpool was once a part of a relegated Newcastle team. That's why I said I don't know if it's down to the collected poor form of the team or Dacoure himself. I have watched a couple of their games recently and he's been a shadow of himself. |

CapitalCee: Yeah, why i said grealish is that Villa might get relegated and he might come cheap, he can do few jobs when some of our players are out injured. For me a midfield trio of Mctomminay, Fred and Bruno is not bad. For me our main transfer target must be Sancho. A front 3 of Sancho, Rashford and Martial will be great.
Send Gomez and Chong on loan, even if its in the championship. Our GK Henderson should be prepared as the heir to DDG The English press will murder Ole is he benches Grealish. Trust me, you don't want them coming for Bruno in a bid to get Ole start Grealish...They'll highlight every bad pass and wrong touch Bruno makes. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 1:50pm On Feb 24, 2020 |
CapitalCee: I like this your formation. If Pogba goes in the summer, we can use his money to buy Sancho, then get Grealish, which will be more easier if villa get relagated, we can add Abdulouye Dacoure from watford. Jones, Lingard and Perrera to go unfailingly.
DDG, Bailly, Maguire, AWB, Shaw; Mctoms, Fred, Bruno, Sancho, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Grealish, Dacoure, Willaims, Matic, Greewood, Dalot, Tuanzebe, James, Romero, Lindelof, etc. I don't like Grealish, he drifts towards the left wing too much for a CAM. Dacoure has regressed this season, I really don't know if it's down to the poor form of the club as a whole. Sancho will be a good buy if he settles for that RW position and not become another player that'll prefer to play from the left. |

We played very well today (2nd half)
We need to win or draw against Manchester City to keep the momentum.
As much as the Pogba situation is annoying, I just hope he gets back into the team, with Bruno, Pogba, McTominay and Fred, our midfield will rival just about anything in the league. Williams and Wan-Bissaka can bomb forward if Ole plays a diamond midfield with Fred and McTominay covering for them similar to what Arteta is doing with Saka and Xhaka at Arsenal.
Martial is getting better, I'd love to see him and Ighalo together with Ighalo ruffling the defenders and Martial profiting from the play.
Great win today, not the best performance though but I'd take the 3pts. |

ChristineC: Matic becomes really slow when he's had consecutive games under his belt. the only reason he'd play well is if Watford sits deep as I suspect. I put him there because I don't see Bruno starting and I don't even want to consider the idea of Bruno playing a 2 man midfield. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 8:01am On Feb 23, 2020 |
DeadPresidents: McTominay over Matic for me. Give that man some rest for fecks sake
I won't complain if Matic starts though seeing as McTominay will definitely be rusty after being out for a while. McTominay won't start that's why I opted for Matic. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 6:42am On Feb 23, 2020 |
I will like Ole to start a front 3 of Martial, Ighalo and Greenwood. We will be more dangerous with those three ahead of Bruno.
Fred and Matic combo to screen the back 4.
In CB, Bailly or Lindelof? I'd pick Bailly because Lindelof will struggle to cope with the physicality of Deeney.
I hope we win... |

afrodoc2: Yeah. It would be interesting to find out if the Wolves’ midfielders stats are average because of the team’s style OR the team plays that way because of the type of midfielders it has. Well, for me it's down to the fact that they play for Wolves wherein they're setup to play on the break. I reckon he'll do well playing for a team like ours, sitting in the base of our midfield and dictating the play. He is stronger on the ball than Fred and is better at passing than McTominay. At United, he'll seldom face teams who will come all out to attack us thus he'd have more freedom to play. |

afrodoc2: Not a bad player, however apart from his occasional wonder goals just how good is he? He is adept at coordinating the play from deep and can pass, long and short passes... He can also tackle. With him, you are getting something like a hybrid of a natural 4 and 10. |

Greatihex: are you saying that if they lose the tie, that they will become less a great team?
For me, No.
They are a great team, but their position in the league is helped by the weakness of the league. You can comfortably point to the EPL because La Liga doesn't command the same viewership as the EPL. I watch Barcelona vs Getafe and I was shocked that Nyom wasn't shown a red card after elbowing Umtiti on purpose even after the referee watched the video replay but but let's rather talk EPL. |

Folks, before now, the premise upon which Raumdeuter used to rate a league as the best was the performance of their representatives in Europe but now the EPL is doing well, the goal post has been shifted.
The UCL and UEL was contested by EPL teams last season and now, all the EPL representatives have make it to the round of 16 in the UCL just as Manchester United, Wolves and Arsenal are doing great in the Europa league but no, the EPL must be garbage because of what is happening in their local league...Europe is no longer the standard...What a time to be alive...Amala has suffered. |
