These people looted without any conscience, this was/is greed plus undiluted evil. The annoying part is that the president, dame and dieziani will be used to judge everyone in the south south.
I went to bed angry last night because of this, still woke up angry. I've been hampering on this salient point you've raised for some time now, GEJ's actions or inactions may affect the chances of the South-South people in some years to come...GEJ is akin to the woes heaped on the Ibos by their so called warlord, Ojukwu |

Williamso: I can't type much, but I'll try to dissect your points.
We agree on this
No it won't! I can give you so mant examples, but I'll give just a few; the Warri crises comes to mind as well as the dispute over the EPZ. The only kind of separation that will be favourable is for each tribe to have its own republic; which is near impossible. We keep complaining that too many ethnicities were fused together to form Nigeria, but we forget that the Niger Delta alone has much more than 50. Imagine what will happen when the Ijaws, the Itsekiris, the Okrikas, the Ogonis, the Kalabaris, the Ikwerres etc have the oil, but the Ibos have the population? The same marginalization card will be played by the minority groups, which will further begin the cycle.
Separation is not the answer to this, but what I will treat next is the answer.
The PIB, if implemented to the letter, in a corrupt free environment is the solution to the ND problem. This will handle the jobs for indigenes, local content, etc. I first heard of the PIB during Yar'adua, and when GEJ came on board, I was really excited that the bill will be passed. While the president has no power over the National Assembly, being a president involves knowing how to cajole your legislature into passing a bill you want. Five years down the line, we haven't heard jack about it. Because somebody will rather offend the common Niger Deltan than offend some powerful people. Very depressing I tell you. That notwithstanding, I'm still an advocate of true federalism, not secessation. Thank God we still have people like you around...It's high time our people do right...#Proud Cross Riverian |

babyosisi: So there are adults who think party affiliation has anything to do with performance We have a very very long way to go No wonder cups of rice and bottles of groundnut oil are used to entice voters in 2015
So now that the same OBJ is aligning with Buhari, how do you analyze that? Buhari is being influenced by a PDP mindset and now bound to Fail? You folks argue against common sense and defeat your own arguments with your own words You contradict yourself ma'am...You rightly stated that individuals and not political association should define the masses choice of any candidate and at the same time you lay claim that GMB is influenced by a PDP mindset...Which is right after all, a look at the individual or party? I like how you lots downplay or in most cases deliberately ignore the Tinubu effect when y'all wanna attack using OBJ as a front, or is Tinubu no longer remote controlling GMB as some folks here will have us believe? |

Mykevp2p: One of the problem e have in Nigeria is when we thing that the office of the president is the Alpha and Omega. It is only in Nigeria that we blame the president for the inefficiency of the legislators, the state government, the judiciary, and local government.
The president can only lobby the legislators, he cannot force them.. don't tell me the legislators are children who don't know or understand the importance of PIB. By the way, the IOC also have powerful lobby group against the passage of PIB.
The ball is in the courts of the legislators and they should be blamed Well, we've seen Obama lobby members of the US legislative house before especially for the healthcare bill #ObamaCare |

johnny1980: First, facts don't take dimensions. The truth is always linear and straight no matter the angle you look at it from.
I am not a fan of Obj, but i would rate Obj far better than Jonathan and would still take Obj's words or criticism of Jonathan. I wouldn't even say let's only look at the message and not the messenger, i would wholeheartedly take the message because Obj has justifiable rights to criticise Jonathan. Why ? you would ask. The content of his message and criticism did not necessarily betray whatever he stands or stood for. Yeah Obj may have made some bad decisions but his time as president was not filled with some useless terrorists taking large swats of Nigeria while he looked on helplessly neither can you accuse him of tribal bigotry while he was president nor can you accuse him of associating with known criminals even to the point of giving an unwarranted Presidential pardon to an ex convict, someone who should be rotting in jail and to cap it all the President coming out to tell us "stealing is not corruption"; these points with someothers were Obj's main focus of criticism. Was Obj justified to have critiqued Jonathan on these? A capital YES.
Also, you can't compare Obj to Barcanista. The only person i can think of on the opposite side in the shade of Barcanista is Rev. Mbaka. He has always been known to praise Jonathan only to swiftly turn around and criticise him.And guess what, he had a reason for doing such which he gave as DIVINE GUIDANCE from God and he's justified as we all know he is a man of God and i would accept such explanations except you present facts contrary to such postulations.
However, there's even a distinct difference in both. Can we go back to the REASONS bacanista turned a critic of the Apc and joined the leagues of those he had labelled as murderers and never do wells who had plunged Nigeria into deep pits of debt and social decay?
Ain't it because he had a "PERSONAL MISUNDERSTANDING" with some members of the progressives on here? So tell me, If his defection was caused by personal difficulties, we can all candidly conclude without bias that his recent outburts and criticism is not borne out of love for Nigeria or progressive ideologies but for personal sentiments and benedictions.
Any man who would move over to an opposing side he once chastised and criticised due to PERSONAL DIFFICULTIES and benefits; and such opposing side is factualy known and widely accepted to be bad and stands against whatever he once believed in can simply be termed someone without Integrity.
I guess you can see why he has no moral justification to criticise unbehalf of Majority of Nigerians who voted for change and are waiting for the commencement of the Next administration. All we can do now is pray and advise as regards their manifestos and if they do deviate we would constructively criticise them and not go out and call their DREAMs a mere farce because you belong to the other side.
Nothing is impossible to achieve if we set our minds to do it and critics whether motivated by personal or nationalistic tendencies would do well to allow Buhari take his oath of office before asking for his head. That's not too much to ask for i guess. I just hit the follow option... Classic!!! |

Our biggest worry now is who plays as the holding midfielder... Here tackling, ball control and Passing must be considered in other words it's brains over brute force considering our style of play... For now, the closest player we have to Carrick and Blind with respect to the aforementioned position/qualities is Herrera thus I'd go with Herrera as the holding midfielder and mata taking Herrera's place with Di Maria on the right wing to give hazard something to think about when leaving Azpillicueta exposed... What do you guys think? |

They can keep their oil as well. Lagos has oil - if they can explore Lagos Island all the way to Epe, Ikorodu, and Badagry. Then Ogun waterside as well. And apart from oil, there are other things with enormous potentials in the SW.
So, what's the point of being a shiitty country where nothing works - then you have got uncivilised cry babies who have absolutely nothing to contribute apart from run their mouths for lack of achievements and cry everywhere? Been reading through yours and all other contributions here, just want to point out a thing or two.... South South and South East are two different blocks, forget the attempt by some miscreants here to have us intertwined in a face saving relationship, we're as distant/different as there come...South-South stands for a united and prosperous Nigeria and we'd gladly go along with any tribe, region or individual that tows this line, anything else like the fake feeling of warmth encouraged by Barca and co is a no-no for me and other peace loving Nigerians...
