Buratai Lauds VC Army Varsity Biu For Transforming The University












The former Chief of Army Staff, His Excellency Ambassador Tukur Yusufu Buratai CFR has commended the efforts of the Vice Chancellor of Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) Professor Kyari Muhammad for upgrading, uplifting the institutions to the best standard and enhancing the welfare of the staffs.
















Buratai made the commendation as the special guest of honour during a reception organized in honour of the departing university registrar Major General SS Ibrahim who was promoted and posted to become the provost, Army College of Education, and also for the promotion of Colonel B Sarki to the rank of Brigadier General. The event took place on Wednesday, 11 Jan 2023. He congratulated the newly promoted officer and also urged them to do more.















In his remark, the VC appreciate the efforts and concern of Buratai towards the university, he assured that the management of the university would do anything possible to uplift the value of the university to be the best among its peer in the country and world at large, he urged this newly promoted officer to put in their best anywhere they find themselves.
















Replying on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Major Gen SS Ibrahim says he has learned a lot serving under the VC, “If you work with my VC you can work with anyone in the world, the good the bad and the ugly once you are committed and has passion for the Job”














“I also want to assure the Special Guest of Honour that NAUB is one of the best in the country, we are hitting over 5000 applications’’ he concluded

The leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, has debunked claims that he has endorsed Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the presidency.

El-Zakzaky made this disclaimer through one of his lawyers, Marshall Abubakar, ashe described the rumours as false and urged Nigerians to disregard them.


Marshall said, “That is fake news. I can confirm to you that there is nothing of such, though some presidential candidates have reached out to him, he has refrained from endorsing any of them because he believes the 2023 presidential contest is bereft of ideological leaning.”

However, El-Zakzaky noted that some presidential candidates approached him so that he can endorse them.

The Muslim group leader called the public to ignore the viral reports and described them as falsehood.

Recall that recently, there were viral online reports that El-Zakzaky called his IMN members to get the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and vote for Obi during the February 25 election.

If healthy & mentally sound Yoruba candidates like Osinbajo or Fashola were the APC Presidential candidate, do you think the Igbos and Yoruba Christians would not have supported them?

With the level of disunity among Southerners over Obi/Tinubu, the North may still retain political power in 2023.
With a massive voting population, Northerners still understand the game of politics more than Southerners. Besides, the North still control the various arms and organs of government plus the Electoral body which gives them upperhand in deciding who emerges.

I pity those Yorubas who think the Northern cabal, politicians and voters would prefer a sick man over their own healthy Presidential candidate.
