...On the same day, the President will visit the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade.GEJ and his campaign team are always too far from reality. Which is likely going to add to their inevitable massive lose next month. Gej visited Ataoja of Oshogbo and Oni of Ife in Osun 2014 election, his visit to these traditional rullers couldn't win the election for his party's candidate. Oshogbo where Gej campaigned and visited the king gave the opposition candidate the highest vote in the state. Not to mention Alaafin that is so engrossed in the opposition part affair, he didn't only donate to the party's success, he left his palace in Oyo down to Osun to attend Aregbe's 2nd term inauguration. Perhaps they are hoping Soun of Ogbomosho 'll support their bid, while his son his contesting under this same opposition party for the house of rep. As for Oba of Lagos, seems he has the largest share in APC of all the Obas in SW. ![]() |
2undexy:I guess he was surprised to read his post on GEJ void of sentiment. Same here anyways... |
Chanchit:Lol, one just have to shake head and smile at the display of unprofessionalism by many of Nigerian's security agencies. As if they're allergic to the use of COMMONSENSE. The very annoying part is the pride and confidence they display while embarrassing Nigerians sensibilities. |
ojimbo:And tearing down your governor's tenure is the anwer?! Why not channel your complaints to the authorities in a civilized manner? Tearing down the tenor of your state governor can only make life more miserable for you and your people. If you truly love your state and people, no matter how bad or clueless those governing your state are, "making life very painful" for them and the people is definitely not a well thought option. |
mumumugu:They are politically clueless! Yet they have the highest numbers of registered voters and highest percentage of PVC collection. Except there is a new definition of being "clueless" or you're just being ironical, they ain't "politically clueless". If internet political participation is your yardstick for determining a politically smart people/region, then you're far from reality. |
bettercreature:Well... It ain't just Omisore alone, but mostly all politicians, Omisore might be worst case anyways.... |
naijaking1:But you didn't judge no one in your own case!! |
domack99:Who knows if there is a section of the constitution that says; "a person must pass mathematics before he can contest for the highest office in the land"? Lol... |
baybeeboi:Lol... You've always admired Yoruba politics like the ones being played by Obj, Akala, Gbenga Daniel, Bankole, Adedibu, Fayosho and other player of amala politics over that of Tinubu and Fashola?! Respect mehn.. ![]() |
If the writer was so sure of the rejection of Buhari in the SW, as stated in the write up, what then is the essence of writing this long epistle? I believe such person should be somewhere popping champaign that the general is gonna lose the SW. Except, someone is too timid to accept the fact & reality on ground. Lol... And if I may add, there has been no time the crook Tinubu ever claimed the godfather of SW, those who gave him the title are political losers that have been checkmated by the smarter Tinubu, people like Ex-convict Bode George and his likes. |
It's quite funny how the ruling party in Lagos is campaigning vigorously, while the supposed opposition that is interested in taking over is doing close to nothing called rally. Perhaps there is a point I'm missing. |
Firefire:Good. But he has support of the whole PDP on this, except the part dissociate itself from the ads. |
Firefire:What can you say about that? You're one of the very few reasonable and polite supporters of Mr. President on this forum, that's why I wanna know your thought. |
21. We have not spoken about the President's family, his health, his religion, his ethnic group, or his phone number. And that is one big difference many reasonable Nigerians can see. |
Kenai:It's a true story. At least I saw two damaged APC billboard yesterday at Oke-fia on my out of town around 12pm before the president arrived. Wouldn't know if more damages have been done since I left. |
aguiyi:I saw those damages myself yesterday. I just thank God the Osun APC guys were matured enough to avoid violence. If a strong APC state like Osun could provide a conducive and violence free environment for the president and his party,(they were allowed to use the Oshogbo city stadium that was completed by Ogbeni during the governorship campaign last year, the freedom park built by Ogbeni for yestersay's rally and even the security patrol vehicles also bought by Ogbeni were used for patrol for the president's visit yesterday), the best the president's party could do to repay them was to tear off their billboards?! |
One wonders why the two major presidential aspirants have neglected the Northern Nigeria for any campaign or rally. As if they've both agreed the region is a no-go-area. |
Mixing religion with politics is not good. But what baffles is how the catholic bishops who have dissociated themselves from the Enugu Reverend, since the footage of him castigating Mr. Jonathan went viral, see nothing bad or worth correction when he(Enugu Reverend) hosted Mrs Patience and endorsed her husband(president). Perhaps, his action then wasn't political, but became one the momemt it involves Buhari, or better still a Muslim politician. I won't judge because I ain't God. But humanly speaking, it's a pure display of hypocrisy and double standard. |
If your manner of dressing is immodest, the only thing that's likely to come to every guy's mind that sees u 'll be sex. Dress well and see reasonable guys cherish and run after you for reasons you wish. |
What's up with those cutleries on the table without any food to use on, na bottled water dey wan use them on?! Eziachi:Those handling Buhari this time around seem to mean business. |
Let us not allow tribal and religious sentiments to blind us and cause us to make the wrong choice.Op you're confused. So...why should the people of SW vote for Jonathan aside from being a Southerner? Going by your contradictory jargons up there, you just made a point why every Southerner who sees Jonathan as a wrong choice should vote in Buhari who has a better record. |
General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has directed all members of the church to obtain their voter cards and vote for a credible government in the 2015 elections.Source: The PUNCH. |
glory2glory:Thanks for this and may your God bless you. They pretend to be true Christians, when in the real sense they'll pass for the biblical Pharises; Who pray in the corner of the street for others to see them as holy people, but their secret life is nothing close to Godliness. Just scroll up and read series of hateful, tribalistic, abusive and dirty comments these guys posted. |
Ogundipe admitted that President Goodluck Jonathan had not been able to do much for theGood to know that SW PDP agreed that Mr. Jonathan has not done much for the people of Southwest, yet they want the people of the region to vote him in for the next four years, then he'll have lesser reasons to perform since he has nothing to lose anymore if reelected. Yorubas were not contributing to the success ofPerhaps, the likes of Soyinka and Falana that stood for Mr. Jonathan when he was being treated like a basic school pupil by Lt.Yar'Adua's wife are Igalas. 5 of the 6 SW states voted massively for Jonathan, yet this confused guy claims the yorubas didn't contribute to Jonathan's success. He, therefore, called on the people of the South-West especially Lagos, to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party won most of the elective positions including federal legislative seats so that Yorubas would be able to get juicy positions. How unreasonable can one be?! This dude is just the usual SW PDP guys who cares less about real time development, but appointment for themselves and family to feed fat. Go to Akwa Ibom and see what the governor is doing there. Look at the stadium in Akwa Ibom. How many stadiums has Fashola built? There are bad roads all over the state with heavy traffic every day.Someone should tell these guys that the populace benefit more from road constructed, than a stadium. What's the point of a stadium when the road that leads to it is in bad condition? And it's a crime for Fashola to fix federal roads the incompetent FG has so long overlooked?! ![]() |
asha80:Of course. |
Tolexander:Nicca(Ogbeni) dey owe mehn... I think these other guys too are oweing; Kogi Oyo Benue Ondo |
ZKOSOSO:Lying on the leadership of the church in order to suit your wish(es) doesn't speak well of you as a true deeper life member. Heavenly minded deeper life members and christians don't lie. As a worker in DCLM, I've never heard any of the church leaders on the pulpit endorse any political party or candidate, not in zonal, district, regional, state, national nor international level. |
Seems the rulling PDP is really awake from its 16yrs slumber. They're using every tactic to bring down the recent uncontrollable soaring general buhari's popularity.Lol... |
Zuria: ![]() |
Tolexander:You got a point bro. Many of us had sympathy for Mr. Jonathan in 2011 because of his shoeless past he told the world and for being from the minority, plus the the eagerness to show some Northerners who have the born-to-rule mentality. I believe many today care less about whatever sentiment any politician wanna use to get vote. It's strictly about having the best as leader. I also think Gen. buhari got that over Mr. Jonathan. |
Tolexander:Bro since when did you start supporting a candidate? You believe in GMB? |
dridowu:Ladoja is a strong candidate. |
