"According to Falana, while a former Central Bank governor gave out $7 billion to 14 banks in 2006 without going through the parliament, another CBN governor, now an Emir, allegedly gave out $5 billion and in 2011, reportedly paid “N2.5 trillion to economic saboteurs while all that was appropriated by the parliament was N245 billion"........hmm |

“Another major point why the problem with the judiciary will remain unresolved or even compounded for a long time is that Nigerians do not naturally want the truth to be told. Whoever dares to tell the truth is marked for destruction....You members of the Bar often tell sordid stories or tales of certain high ranking serving or retired judicial officers who act as ‘arrangees’ or couriers of bribe. That is, such are engaged at a fee to reach out to judges to influence or ‘purchase’ justice in certain sensitive cases.”......Food for thought. |

Scholes007: Then she shouldn't cry when it turns bloody. To me if my sister is married to another man & a property is not willed to her, she should just leave in peace for the sake of peace. I wouldn't hesitate to kill or get killed to maintain my father's and brothers linage because he linage is with her husband unless she is some way out of marriage. If she is not willed she has no right to contest. It is you as a brother that out of your own freewill can help her out with something if the need exists. Traditionally, when a woman is out of marriage and comes back home the first son gives her land where she cultivates to sustain herself through her lifetime and the land reverts back to the family upon her demise. |

Scholes007: If the father has a son or sons, she has no right for the father's property unless willed to her. With this ruling, he better have a will existing at the time of his death so that everything is defined. if there is no will regarding the property acquired outside the ancestral home, before the law the daughter has an option to contest for a share if she feels likes. |

Scholes007: I'm just telling the truth. If a girl tries that trust me not even supreme court will save her. Your kindred can forgo your father's bought property but no d inherited land. Heads will roll for it. It is that of those acquired away from the ancestral home. A woman has no share of ancestral land as it passes through sons. |

UR NOT IGBO, I DO FEEL MOST TIMES U YORUBAS ARE PSYCHOTIC.
JUST LISTEN TO IGBOS ON THIS THREAD BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS AND DEM LISTEN TO YORUBAS LIKE URSELF, U KNOW YORUBAS ARE A HOPELESS CASE. You are classic example of what the human mind should not get involved in. For you to have issues with my identity proves my broader perspective on humanity, tribalism do not tickle me but tribal customs that alleviate the dignity of man do! |

ARE YORUBA AND IGBO THE SAME? ARE IGBOS NOW PRACTISING YORUBA CULTURE?
MAN U YORUBAS NEED TO GET SOME RESPECT AND DISTANCE BEFORE WE HAVE A SERIOUSLY VIOLENT CONFLICT.
U ARE STEPPING ON OUR TOES. SHOW SOME RESPECT. NOBODY WILL ANSWER THAT COURT AND ITS JUDGEMENT.
U DONT UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS US THE IGBOMEN AND THEIR FATHER THAT HAVE CHOOSEN TO EXCLUDE THEM.
WE DONT WANT THEM INHERIING OUR PROPERTY. IF SHE IS GOOD, WE WILL GIVE THEM SOMETHING BIG AS A GIFT, EVEN LAND. What makes you think you are more igbo than me? Whose crooked toes am l stepping on? My agreeing with your views does not increase my chances of making heaven, so why should l? Better make sure you are alive till the next 100 years to make sure no igbo daughter inherit any property from her late father's estate! |

OILSOUP: DUDE NIGERIA HAS NO FUTURE. TO COEXIST WITH PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT CULTURE AND FAITH REQUIRES RESPECT, YORUBAS HAVE NONE.
THEY ARE DECEIVERS. U HAVE CREATED A SITUATION WHERE THOSE GIRLS WILL BE MURDERED OVER PROPERTY.
LEARN TO RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE CULTURE IT IS THEIR FOR A REASON. WOMEN MOVE ON CHANGE NAME, WAT BUSINESS DOES SHE HAVE WITH HER FATHER PROPERTY.
THE CHOICE IS FOR THE FATHER NOT SUPREME COURT. IN IGBOLAND A FATHER RESERVE THE RIGHT TO GIVE HIS DAUGHTER A GIFT NOT INHERITANCE. Why bring the Yorubas in? Why have the Yoruba men not killed their own sisters over their father's property? My father bought his plots of land in Lagos from a Yoruba woman way back in the 70's and even encouraged my father to get more igbos to buy land from their family. Like l said earlier, humanity evolves..... so l take nothing personal! Moreover this is more of properties in the urban areas not in the village! |
