No be breaking news. |
It is all about where at this point in time they believe they will gain "something" as it is not about ideologies because APC and PDP are the two sides of the same coin! |
psucc:You captured my thought! ![]() |
dunkem21:There was no real continuity because some vested interests were making fortunes from the importation of wheat! Many farmers who went into cassava farming hoping there will be huge uptake suffered glut. Out of the thousands of bakeries in Nigeria how many percent are into cassava bread production? Kenya produces and exports wheat and milk thus the cheapness of bread and milk in Kenya. I bought a 600gms of bread for 70 Kenyan shillings in 2013 as at yesterday l still bought at 70 Kenyan shillings. |
dunkem21:Obasanjo tried promoting it but was there continuity? |
dunkem21:We locally produce bread with mostly imported ingredients. |
dunkem21:The milk we produce or import? |
I know say my Governor no well but his "madness" will not descend to the level of turning my State to an IDP camp! |
llaykorn:As a "bloody civilian" in Nigeria, one is safer keeping off camouflage or else........... |
Disheartening. ![]() |
He should empower them with post-harvest preservation techniques. |
youngest85:An idea of the quality of minds on this forum. |
When one is a positive impact. |
steppin:True. Kenya switched off its analogue transmission on February 14, 2015 despite vested interests. People were forced to get a digital TV or a set box (subscription based or Free to Air), it is now a richer viewing experience. |
Hybrid01:Am not the one deploying the technology, get in touch with the company (Flexi biogas). |
I doubt the digital migration deadline of June 2017, they will still push it forward. ![]() |
baba11:I meant castor oil plant. |
Hybrid01:What the guy is carrying on his head are the biogas kits needed to install a unit. They have shipped it to many countries. I have issues with Ethanol production from maize because it competes with food consumption.....maize as food is already expensive for human consumption.
|
ephi123:Over reading dey worry me!.....It is an addiction, l don't want to get over! ![]() I interact with people from different parts of the world daily and many are wowed by my spread of knowledge, it makes one confident! ![]() |
Hybrid01:The last time I visited YABATECH was so many years ago! The dome system is not as effective as the Flexi biogas system being deployed by a Kenyan firm, Visit their Facebook page: https://web.facebook.com/flexi.biogas You will realize the dome system is expensive and ancient! The domestic flexi biogas system can be installed within 2 hours and by the 6th/7th day one can start cooking with the gas generated. |
Hybrid01:Is the digester at Yabatech, the dome type? |
baba11:It needs to be ground and added water to make it pulpy. The higher the calorific value of the feed fed into the digester, the higher the gas production. Castor plants are very high in oil and generates 50 times more gas that cow dung and when ground with food wastes and fed into the system, the gas production rockets. |
I hope those sadists will not regard her involvement in the production as haram! ![]() Mo' Abudu looking so "Northern"! ![]() |
Recollecting the rabbit sausage l ate recently! ![]() |
Hybrid01:Actually while you generate gas, you also generate bio-slurry which is a potent organic fertilizer. |
Abbeyme:It is because we have focused on mega projects thus our energy crisis all these years. We have streams that wound its way down the slope of many rural communities that can provide electricity to the communities not having to wait for the National grid |
Hybrid01:We need to expand our minds. Biogas digesters needs to be set up around garri producing communities, to provide heat for frying garri and reduce the dependence on firewood. The women frying the garri will be happy of no longer having to deal with the smoke from the firewood. The digesters are fed with the cassava peels generated during peeling likewise other farm wastes. "i better pass my neighbour" sized generator that runs on biogas can charge the phones of these women while they work!.....We need to expand our minds! |
Abbeyme:It can generate electricity by powering a generator that is 80% biogas and 20% diesel. I have seen it being used in a welding project in an energy centre in Nairobi. |
She is so right, there should be incentives. Though l read as a child to escape into another world, having to have read Things Fall Apart, Kongi's Harvest, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again, Rob Roy etc all before l finished primary school. While reading on the bed, it made my mind travel round the world! While l was in Secondary school, l did save to buy second-hand novels because l was addicted to reading. ![]() Reading outside school texts is real fun! ![]() |
Abbeyme:It will serve as cooking gas, l have seen where it is operated. It can provide gas for the University's bakery if it has one. |
Munzy14:You ought to have prepared a nursery for them and transplanted after some weeks! Setting up a seedling centre somewhere in Enugu/Imo is something am looking at. So anyone can come pick up seedlings of their choice from cabbages to strawberries. |
TheFreeOne:You are right, the silence of influential Christians emboldens these paedophiles hiding under religion! Am not sure if he National body of CAN has released a statement stating their position and demand for the return of the girl or else the Emirate will be sued for abduction, forceful conversion to islam and marriage to a minor without the consent of her parents. |
