Pentecostal churches indeed!.......Ambode is probably also Catholic! Why being a nuisance to others all in the name of "worshipping God"? Others have a right to a peaceful atmosphere, imagine after the hassles of the day's struggle one comes home to the noises emitting from those sound systems...nothing justifies it!

Technically, Fenugreek is not Ewedu. They look alike but they are not the same and Fenugreek doesn't grow naturally in Nigeria unless you plant it here so it is not our local plant. Fenugreek is a bitter type of leaf (even the powder has a taste) and Ewedu isn't. I could go into this more but I confirmed it by their classification and all my Indian "waka" I used to do in the past. Fenugreek is good for milk production though.

You are right, Fenugreek is not Ewedu. It is grown in Kenya, just sent down some packs to my sister.

Organically grown foods are better and more healthy than genetically modified food.

But unfortunately for us, anything in sight is food! A strong local network of organic farmers will really push healthy food. At the just concluded Nairobi International trade fair, Kenya Organic Agriculture Network gave out booklets titled Nairobi green shopping guide that lists out bio restaurants, organic food stores, organic farmers' markets, organic gardens, processors of organic foods etc It now gives one the choice to eat healthy!

i find it necessary to inform u that i have finally gotten delivery of the package and they even gave me a sun flower seed pack of ten as gift. the date of custom clearing shows it arrived nigeria on 29 aug. make i start my own garden of 400 seeds see how things dey go

No mind us we just big for nothing, even "small" Kenya dey export fresh milk and where Dangote will be processing fresh milk into powdered milk and ship them to Nigeria!

I did planted them in small sack,but out door. I think indoors should be the best. then after some weeks transplant out door. the nursery stage is 6-8weeks. they are 21days now. still monitoring and observing.
Seedling centre that will be a welcomed idea. lts been challenging getting improved seedlings here in Owerri.

2-3 weeks takes care of the nursery stage of most of cabbage varieties l know of. Improved seeds are easily accessible here in Nairobi, there is a street called Kijiabe, it has about 5 seeds companies on that stretch. You go through the shelves where one is spoilt for choice especially the veggies sections. You get to sit one on one with a staff who advises what seeds are best for your location and how to go about its cultivation. Funny enough, 3 of the seed companies told me they regularly get calls and emails from Nigeria.

I guess with time, we will get there.
