Bollinger: Good development huh? you've not seen it. You don't even know the capabilities. Can it stand up to a 50 cal which we all know BH has. This is no time for experiments. what you need are tried and tested weapons because when it's crunch time you don't want a failed weapon when faced with the opposition.
denisfidha: You are more likely to suceed if you team up with other farmers, get training together, then provide a bigger source of produce to be taken seriously by bulk buyers who can guarantee a stable income
I have visited many places across Kenya thus my conviction that diary farming is possible in every region of Nigeria and should not be the exclusive of the Fulanis. lt would reduce the cost of milk in Nigeria just as l get to buy a litre of fresh milk here in Nairobi for N130. Powdered milk which Nigerians are so used to is like an abomination to Kenyans because there is a constant supply of milk from the over 1.5million small holder dairy farmers across the Country.
Silvereze: Agric in nigeria has been neglected or abandoned for oil exploitation.since then agric is seen as second class profession.i am an agric. student of uniben.Actually i applied for medicine and was given Agric. as a consolation. As an agric student there are a lot of challenges facing us.firstly, only telling people u are studying agric. comes with them laughing at u and telling u career opportunitie u can embark into.Agric is capital intensive and if i graduate how will i even get money to start up a farming business. We are hardly shortlisted for scholarships and when schortlisted few are opportuned to get.agric is hard with a lot of farm work attached to it for which the lecturers share the produce.Government is not concerned about the welfare of agric students.I am fed up with studying Agric.in this country.I need advice pls..................
Don't get weighed down by the stereotype view of studying Agriculture in school because the reality on ground is that it is one of the most sustainable means of income if one gets it right. l have a Kenyan friend here in Nairobi and he is a graduate of Aeronautic Engineering, guess what is feeding him? .....Worms! He is into vermiculture, this he does in a space not up to a plot of land and he earns about 200,000ksh (N400,000) on a monthly basis for his effort. How many graduates are earning this on a monthly basis in Nigeria?
Take Lagos as an example, the population of Lagos alone is about the same with that of Cameroun that is a Country and if you are in a position to produce just what 0.1% of Lagosians consume food-wise, you can imagine the number of people who will be working under you to deliver to that 0.1%.
There is a far bigger picture out there, don't limit yourself!
@deflover, l need not fast to death for the temporal. l prefer focusing on self actualizing the development of the 5 South Eastern states which when put together is not even up to d size of Kogi state. lgbo identity is beyond Nnamdi Kanu's idenlogy!
May war start from the households of all who beat the drums of war, human lives worth nothing to them. South sudan is a living sad reminder that war is not a video game!
Rather than fling hate at each other online and after we all still go out there to face the same reality, what has each of us as done as an individual to create solutions to challenges we face today thus generating income & by extension employment?
He is a legend in the hearts of his 'band of apostles'. l have spoken with some South Sudanese here in Nairobi who fled their country because of internal crisis after their secession, caused by fundamental issues they igonred while fighting Sudan.
Until the OP provides the location where it occurred in Nigeria, l will for now take it as figment of his imagination because l know that the News Agency that owns the story is CVB News Service which is South Asian owned .
