@SunnyJ2, with the fund available and the land located near a river, cropping would be the best option as it involves no construction that would gulp down the seed money. Calculate cost of preparing the land, seeds, labour etc and reach a decision.

My parents had joint account and we the children knew what was in it but l do not think it is possible with people who are married to spouses they do not trust.
