PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Backs Sale Of National Assets by Pchidexy(m): 9:02am On Sep 28, 2016
I don't really know why God decided to punish me by making me a Nigerian.

For Bleep sake, where is the money from subsidy? Where are all the money recovered from corrupt politicians( or haven't this government been fighting corruption).

The money saved from TSA nko? Monies from increased custom duties and port duties?

Let Buhari sale his family and indeed north eastern Nigeria. He should leave our national asset from the south alone.

Bunch of national criminals!
EducationRe: Do U Feel That Ur University Degree Is A Waste Of Time And Why by Pchidexy(m): 8:00am On Sep 24, 2016
It is a sad really but honestly university education in Nigeria is a waste. I happened to have studied business education. After 5 years of graduation I was only getting peanuts from the small teaching jobs I was managing then.

It was only until I ventured into business that I realized the precious time I wasted at school. Currently I am making not less than #250k monthly from my business.

You see the biggest players in many Nigerian businesses did not go to university. The acquired the knowledge the need on the field of their various trade.

If you must go to school, work and school!

PoliticsRe: Armed Herdsmen: Afenifere, Ohanaeze, ACF Disagree On Fayose’s Law by Pchidexy(m): 10:19am On Aug 31, 2016
searchiing4love:
Fayose was wrong to enact such laws in the first place. The fulanis have the right to live and work in ekiti just like every other Nigerian. Why ban their business of cattle rearing when they have no other means? Why criminalize the fulanis as if all fulanis are killers? There are bad eggs amongst every tribe, why do we make it look like violence is exclusive to northerners only. The people we should frown at are cattle rustlers who steals cattle from fulanis and use them as disguise for their evil deeds. The fulanis are peaceful people who go about their business in peace and we all know they control their herds of cattle with mere sticks. Even though we call them primitive, how many southerner can rear cattle for national consumption like the fulanis? Without them how do we see beef to consume? The rustlers are armed terrorist escaping from the north east to the south. What fayose should have done is to forbid any herdsmen from moving around with weapons, not banning cattle rearing completely. If all states cooperated with the FG on creation of grazing reserves throughout the country, there will not be a single cattle left on the streets looking for grass. Instead we chastised president Buhari's brilliant policy in the name of islamization. The ripple effects are the incessant attacks by the rustlers. The grazing bill remains the best and safest option. Not unnecessary bans sad
It seems you lack the ability to comprehend simple English.
Fayose only banned open grazing. Anybody who wants to rear cattle should acquire a ranch simple!

Now I see why you sent me pm. Inbox me your number so we can talk on whatsapp. I'm in Ibadan incase you want to meet.

Budget of 1.2m is too small except you want to be buying from dealers like us that buy directly from Indians sellers in Lagos like Stallion, Bharat, CIC, Agro Allied etc but nothing is impossible if you have close proximity to main market but you must be fully prepared to spend on diesel to power your coldroom cos that could be frustrating. Power issue is the only risk that could make you lose.
Thanks for your response. I plan on starting even if it is on a small scale.

Some will blame PMB for this but I won't.
So long our appetite for foreign goods consumption is high, Naira will continue to fall. I heard the story of a Nigerian family that buys their vegetables from stores in the UK.
Buhari must stand firm with steady hands and force a change of taste from Nigerians. This is our time to finally restructure how our FX are utilised.
We must eat Nigerian Rice, buy Nigeria made cars etc.
Rubbish write up! Yet Buhari can go to London for ordinary ear infection. Poor people don suffer for this country.

Hello nairalanders, I'm looking at the possibility of setting up a medium scale cold room for the purpose of selling icefish.

I'm looking at a budget of #1million to #1.2million. The information I got is that cold rooms are built in tonnages. I want something smaller because finance. But I am looking at getting a cold room that can contain 100 cartoons.

Such a cold room is around #250 thousand. Lister(because of Nepa wahala) is #210 thousand. Installation and wiring may gulp #50 thousand. Totaling about #510 thousand.

Shop may cost #100 thousand per annum depending on location it may cost more or less.

So, naira landers come in let us discuss the gains and loss in this business.
PoliticsRe: Protesting Biafran Members At United Nations Headquarters In South Africa by Pchidexy(m): 12:38pm On Aug 24, 2016
searchiing4love:
What these people fail to realize is the shame and ridicule the biafra movement has become ever since Nnamdi kanu was discovered to be a fraud and arrested by the Nigerian government. Right to self determination is a treasonable offense against the Nigerian state because it's not captured in our Constitution. It is totally illegal for any region or group of people to demand seccession from Nigeria. The penalty would have been death if we were in a military regime. The Indian government recently opened fire on secessionist in the Kashmir region of India just to serve as a deterrent to future agitators. Despite having a referendum, Scotland chose to remain in the UK cos they for-saw their impending doom if they decide to leave. The Spanish government have disregarded several calls for catalonia to break away from spain. Russia recently annexed crimea from Ukraine after the crimeans got tired of life outside the soviet Union. The people of South Sudan are regretting their decision to leave Sudan till today and yet the Igbo's are hell bent on having biafra despite all the glaring indices of an impending failure if biafra is ever achieved. No country in the world wants a break away of its territory. Even the United States that preaches freedom disregarded Texas's call for seccession. The reason for seccession of the Igbo's has not been clearly defined. The fruitless agitations is fuelled by hate and jealousy of other region's political stability and doggedness. Their political miscalculations in the last elections gave birth to the recent biafra calls headed by the disgruntled element called Nnamdi kanu who was feeding fat on the Biafran sentiment before been apprehended. The British saw a potential in our diversity before merging us together as a united Nigeria and every sane mind believes the future of the Igbo's lie in nigeria. What we need is a united south and we will wrestle political power away from Northern monopoly who sees power as their birth right. Will the Igbo's ever work with bourdillon to achieve a united south? Time will tell. Say no to biafra, God bless Nigeria sad
A load of rubbish! Go and buy common sense!

Their is no need for this ego massaging message by Reno. No black race has any thing to be proud of. Why are we blowing our trumpet? What do we expect the Whites and East Asians to do?

Igbos should take time to organize themselves politically and socially.

We may have a high IQ but until it translates to economics success to the average household then, we are not successful.

We should take a cue from Kenya. These people without crude oil are doing great. They are not shouting.

They jews, the Chinese, the Lebanese, Indians, do not blow their trumpet.

Enuff said!

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by Pchidexy(m): 11:54am On Aug 15, 2016
AKswift:
I read through the posts of this thread with a disinterested mind, and I can assertively say that the state of bitterness, anger and hatred among supposed ‘brethrens”, especially natives of Imo and Anambra, is so uptight and annoying. Not just this reference thread, but others having to do with issues related to states of Abia, Anambra and Imo. I truly cherish constructive criticisms, i.e., remarks/comments that put the so-called elected representatives on the spot. For example, I could draw the attention of the Government on a bad spot in a state without unnecessarily calling the entire people (or state) ‘worthless’ or ‘useless’: come on, such generalization is robed with unparalleled acrimony! This is analogous with someone tagging your entire race ‘untamed’, owing to a pitfall of a few.

Be mindful, partisan ‘Nairalander’, say, from another ethnicity, is keenly observing the rift and divide in your house, and would serve as useful points when the debate is between regions, during one of such “annoying” threads that discusses hegemony and supremacy among regions. I was enlightened, for the first time, on how divided the Easterners are- many thanks to your genre on Nairaland.

One may ask: how come we don’t see comparisons on the “State of Being”, say, between Abeokuta and Ibadan, Akure and Ado-Ekiti, or Eko and Osogbo? The answer is closer than you can imagine: my cousins in the West see the development of their region as a collective responsibility of every descendant of Odua. On the average, they don’t roll over each other in mockery of how a bad spot in a location looks, or extending the remark of calling an entire state “useless”. Though the competition in the East is fierce (each state trying to undo each other), it is not healthy. The harmonious component is lacking, and this is singularly displacing your region in the scheme of things.

Therefore, I will admonish those who feel joyous in dropping derogatory remarks, aiming at exacerbating a post in the negative or smearing its good intent to eschew from it. To be candid, I love the determination in your kinsmen to succeed - they are not passive with life, which could be seen in the individual effort from you guys: the beautiful houses, self-donations to social infrastructures, commerce, etc. However, until you peeps disassociate from the parochial mentality of the boastful mannerism of “I” instead of “We” -which communicate oneness- the mockery would not cease to come forth.
Nice observation! You see, the few deranged folks you see on Nairaland do not represent the majority of the Igbos. Igbos see each other beyond state boundaries.

However, some Igbos are very clannish while some are liberal but do not be deceived they will choose their fellow Igbos above other ethnic groups.

State are artificial boundaries. Educated and well traveled people know this. My town in Isiala Mbano came from Abam in present day Bende in Abia state. However, we want every state to develop. Igbos are not like Yorubas. We are egalitarian in every sense of the world. Every man is his own king in Igboland.

Thank you.
