This might sound a bit absurd. The Human resources departments of Organizations should not only concern themselves with recruitment only. i think they should focus more on counseling. The rate of fraud occurrences is becoming alarming and this can be mitigated if there are periodic financial counselings for employees.
There should also be an overhaul of the societal values that place so much importance on material things. This era of people spending so much on weddings, buying new SUV s, nightclubbing, family pressure etc.
Business processes should also be monitored to identify risk factors and implement controls.

Your example about the DEA in the USA is flawed. Criminal proceeds such as Drug money cannot be returned to the criminals. However loans are legitimate funds that belong to the shareholders and depositors of banks, and should be returned to them. Skimming 10% off is as corrupt as it gets, especially when done by an agency that has no legal powers to act as such.

Let us put some records straight>

1. Ngige did not steal the mandate, but was a beneficiary to a stolen mandate. Ngige did not have the might to steal the mandate, rather the mandate was stolen by the Ubasanjo mafia with the INEC as the executioner. Then they handed the mandate to the Ngige who simply used the mandate to work for Anambra people. Furthermore, I dont know where this writer came from, but the Supreme Court as he quoted had nothing whatsoever to do with that case. The case stopped at the Apeal Court.

2. If Ngige did not go to that shrine, he would never had become governor. The Ubasanjo would had put in their kind who will do their bidding. APGA's case at the tribunal would had been thrown out and Obi would never had become governor. And Anambra would not had made any progress. When he used the mandate to restore some dignity to our state, we had come to trust him.

3. Ngige did not give Uba any Ireevocable Standing Order of payment, rather Ngige stoped the one given to Uba by Mbadiniju imidiately he (Ngige) came to power. It was among the things Ngige did to become a "bad guy" in the PDP camp.

Ngige doing Ubas bidding? If he was doing his bidding, why was Uba angry with him? On the contrary, Ngige upon becoming governor, refused to do any of Uba's biddings and that was the cause of the whole trouble.

4. I am suprised at the above comments; it is either the writer is commpletely ignorant of the facts or is simply being misshievious. I could remember that Ngige's input in education resulted incase where UniZik was the only University in Nigeria that had all her courses acredited by the NUC (as at then). Yet, before Ngige, Ananmbra had no feel of government.

Finally, Ngige had nothing to loose if he did the biddings of the Ubasanjo, today he would had been among the Iboris, the Odilis, and their likes. That guy is a hero in Anambra State for he wresttled the state out of the hands of our enemies both internal and external.

Well, but he was a beneficiary of a stolen mandate and that makes him culpable. He should be serving terms.

For all those claiming that the timing of Adokiye's outburst wasn't right, then they obviously don't know him. Although, he might have at one point or the other contributed to the rot in this country but like the average Nigerian politician who has fallen out of favour with the incumbent power holders, you cannot discountenance his points entirely.

The truth is Rotimi Makinde (a Yoruba movie Actor)- the AC candidate can't match Omisore in any way. I knew they both rigged in their various ways but the Big rigger won and that led to the violence between supporters of the two parties. I have friend's who worked for both candidates. But still, it's victory for democracy.

I seriously think that there is nothing wrong with having a coalition of opposition leaders ganging up against Yar adua. But i get jittery when i realize that what they are after is just to wrestle power and then continue the vicious cycle.
Nigeria is in this political quagmire because opposition is not based on constructive criticisms of government policies and then offer alternative suggestions but it's to get a piece of the national cake.
What important contributions have they made on ASUU strike? Planned removal of subsidy? Recent bank shake-ups and other economic policies? What are their views on the MDGs? Even those opposition parties in government at state levels are still grappling with menial issues like affordable housing, qualitative education etc.
What Awolowo did with his regional government are still there for all to see.
Some of these opposition leaders are even opposed to criticisms, they are self- styled, pseudo-progressive leaders.

Not so, growing up in Ajegunle or Asokoro has nothing to do with intelligence except you also want to believe in racial superiority. A child may grow up in a library and refuse to read books. There are people with humble backgrounds who have made it to the very tops. Those with privileged background may only have more windows of opportunities to express themselves.

What the f, k is wrong with Mr President. He doesn't want people to be critical of his government yet the country is a mess. Did he view all the contents of the said programme? Well, thank God our leaders know what the people are saying but what are they doing about them? Nothing absolutely. But they become touchy when people are simply stating the obvious.
My advise is that the president should not shut down AIT, he should rather shut down the mouths of the hoards of advisers who are misleading him.
