Exactly, thiago silva just cost Brazil this match with his inability to contest the header with Abubakar. I said it here finished players should allow young players to play and retire to the slums of Salvador. |

Morocco have undoubtedly put in the best performance by an African side in the WC group stage: - Their haul of 7 points is the most for an African team at a WC group stage
- Conceeding only one goal is also a defensive record for an African team.
- Being the first African team to not concede a goal from an opposition player. |

Amedino99: what could have caused the disconnect we usually see from players when they are on national team assignments with partey and ndidi as case points. They clearly do not play on the same level as they play in the EPL. Can it be because of coaching? Fellow players not up to the club's standard or other factors because partey has been immense for arsenal and I haven't seen any one complain of his pace in the EPL. I think it’s more of fellow national teammates not being up to par. You can’t compare the quality of Partey’s or Iwobi’s midfield partners in Ghana and Nigeria respectively, to that of Arsenal or Everton. In their respective clubs, they are partnered with good or very good players, while their national teammates are either average or below average. I mean, the general lack of movement by Ghanaian forwards (expecting Kudus to dribble all the defenders) is evidence of their lower soccer IQ |

If ONLY Hansi Flick started Sane in the game against Spain, perhaps Germany would have won that game, and Spain would be on the plane to Madrid by now.. But these Japanese players are wizards sha: both Germany and Spain attempted 700+ passes against them, yet, they beat both teams 2-1 |

It will be sweet to see 4 African countries in the Round 16 sha and if it happens like that, which African team do you fancy to advance to q/final with the highlited fixture Senegal has the best chance of advancing to the quarter finals. Yes, Morocco have been excellent at this WC, but Spain may just be a bridge too far. Ghana has virtually no hope against the Samba rhythm, and I don't see Cameroon advancing to the knockout round. |

Beats Germany.
Loses to the weakest team in the group.
Returns for the last game and beats Spain.
Habamana! The Conundrum game. Lol You see that Japan team ehn, you just cannot predict them at all. They remind of Super Eagles that lost 3-0 to the defunct Yugoslavia, and 5-1 to the Netherlands in pre 1998 WC friendlies, only to win a WC group containing a super talented Spanish team |

Kilishihunter: Shame dey catch me but that Japan 's second goal wasn't supposed to stand, the ball crossed the line before the cross came in On the bright side the shameful display sent Germany (Bayern) home again plus we'll avoid Brazil on a quarter final path if we beat Morocco, Wait Portugal dey ooh Actually, it was not EVERY part of the ball that was out of bounds. According to the rules, even if 1% of ball is on the line, the ball is deemed to be in play |
