Wondering why the men team agree to that deal when they are not generating the same amount of revenue. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think the price money for the women world cup and men are thesame.
You’re right, the prize money ain’t the same. However, the women have brought in more revenue over the last 3-4 years than the men, in large part due to the fact that the men failed to qualify for the last World Cup, whilst the women have won the last 2 WWCs

Why must fifa use a female first referee in this world cup? What if they fire hot shot on her breast will she not faint? Or somebody mistakenly tackles her in the match? All this womenisation is not necessary in everything. Maybe they will soon start allowing female players or transgender to play with men too.
Lol
I hope FIFA also appoints male referees at next year’s women’s World Cup

I just feel this is creating a new problem where there was none before. Players should get the money they earn from their tournament.
Yea, especially on which players would benefit from the largesse.

Reason why the women are getting a cut is that both US National teams and US Soccer negotiated a collective bargaining agreement where both teams would be equally paid from all sources, including FIFA bonuses

How will they determine the players from the women team that will get the $. Is it the women that participated in the last women world cup or the squad that were invited for their last matches?
Really don’t know.
My guess is that it will be only players that were part of match-day squads between last year and this year..

I don't know why some people are surprised by this news, afterall, crime has no colour, it is a global thing, just that some places are more notorious for it than the others. And in every country, no matter how safe it looks, there are dangerous spots you don't ever wanna lose guard.

And again, for some time now, London has been notorious for some serious high level social vices that even the government doesn't have answer to. No be the same England a whole Anthony Joshua's customised Range Rover was stolen over night, and till date, no one has an answer?

UK, and most, if not all Europe are economically in bad shape right now; unemployment rate is on a high. Basically due to CV19 and Ukraine/Russia crisis. For example, the country with the biggest economy in Europe, Germany, has over 2 million unemployed people.
Sadly, the economic nightmare is about to get worse in Western Europe within the next 4 months

Morroco top a table of Belgium and Croatia.

Awesome.
No one predicted this when the draws were made in April.
Morocco really impressed me with their overall play!
First time an African team is winning a WC group since 1998, when the Super eagles did so.

So true, beating Italy, Uruguay and drawing England. I think they reached the quarterfinals that year. Fav player was Bryan Ruiz.

Morocco reminds me of Costa Rica that won their 2014 WC group comprising Italy, England and Uruguay.

Not necessary.
Our dear football is getting boring everyday with all these rules changes from FIFA.

Especially the introduction of this VAR. The referees are just using it anyhow to their advantage.

2005 Milan derby: AC milan vs Intermilan comes to mind. If you know, you know.
Then how should FIFA deal with the issue of collusion between teams ?
Sports2026 World Cup: FIFA May Introduce Penalty Shootouts At Group Stage by PDPGuy(op): 8:17am On Dec 01, 2022
The 2026 edition, which for the first time will take place in three countries (Mexico, the USA and Canada), will also be the first in which 48 nations participate, 16 more than in Qatar and in the last seven World Cups in all. It is expected that teams will be split into 16 groups of three, with two of those three teams progressing to the round of 32, implying one extra knockout round in comparison to the current format.

Members of the FIFA council had originally voted unanimously for three-team groups but some are now thought to be backtracking. However, some critics believe that four-team groups with the addition of 16 supposed ‘weaker’ nations in the tournament would lead to many less competitive matches.

With only three teams in a group, another train of thought is that there are likely to be tighter matches and, as a result, tighter groups. In order to separate teams that finish on the same number of points, penalty shootouts could take place at the end of drawn games, with the winning side awarded a bonus point.

“Shootouts could indeed be an option for tournaments with groups of three in which you play against two opponents. It can get pretty tight. If one team for instance draws one match 0-0 and wins the other 1-0, there’s a high risk that all three teams are level on points and goals in the end,” said Marco van Basten, FIFA’s former chief officer for technical development, speaking to Bild back in 2017.

One fear with three-team groups is that the two teams involved in the final group match could know exactly what result is required for both to progress and conspire to ‘fix’ the outcome of the game. A 1-0 win for West Germany against Austria allowed both teams to qualify from their group at the expense of Algeria in the 1982 World Cup, while a 2-2 draw between Denmark and Sweden was the exact result that was needed for the two teams to knock Italy out of the European Championships in 2004.

The introduction of a penalty shootout and bonus points would considerably reduce the risk of such conspiracy, although The Athletic claim that the shootouts could even take place at the start of matches to further limit the possibility of any wrongdoing.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by PDPGuy: 1:07am On Dec 01, 2022
@raumdeuter: According to Forbes, if the US loses to the Netherlands, each US player would receive $294,000, and each US women's national team player would receive $254,000.

Then, if the US wins on Saturday, and loses the quarter final game, each American player would receive $383,000, while each USWNT player would get $332,609

The reason why the women would earn from this world cup is that the US Soccer Federation entered into a collective bargaining agreement between both national teams, stipulating that prize money earned from FIFA tournaments be shared almost equally amongst both teams.

Very comprehensive read on how just how much of a Fvck up this election was for the Republicans.
Republicans severely underperformed considering that the US is experiencing its worst inflationary period within the last 40+ years. Even their slim majority in the US House Of Reps would not allow their members from purple districts to vote for any controversial piece of legislation.
