The NYSC scheme is a perfect opportunity to support those who want to start up their businesses. Teaching in Sokoto or Anambra is usually a waste of time. Those who want to start up their businesses with that right support would in the process create jobs after the start ups.

I have always advocated for the scrapping of the NYSC program because it serves no useful purpose in this century.
Instead, the government should give every student of a public tertiary institution, upon graduation, a N90,000 grant to either learn a skill or start a small business.

The Same-sex prohibition law doesn't criminalize the act of identifying as a homosexual. It only prohibits same-sex relationships, marriages, and membership of organizations that promote homosexuality.

So, if these detainees get good lawyers, the lawyers should get them off the hook.

Currently 34 Republican, governors 15 democrats 1 independent in the US. Democrat governors rule in 30% of US states. even PDP is not this bad

But I won't be too quick to rule out a comeback by Democrats next year, especially if Trump's support among Republicans drops to around 50%, or his overall approval rating drops below 30%. Also, if Robert Mueller's impaneled grand jury decides to indict any member of Trump's campaign or President Trump himself, expect many top Republican politicians/operatives to desert him. Of course, Democrats would exploit any possible indictment to their political advantage.

I'm not in favor of the rotational tenure idea. The best man/woman for the job should simply be nominated to the post.

But I love the idea of the service chiefs having guaranteed tenure because tenure will insulate the SCs from unnecessary politricks, especially when a new president takes the reigns of power. Therefore, I'll prefer a 3-yr tenure for the SCs and the Chief of Defense Staff.

In addition, I'll also propose a change to the military chain of command. I believe the chain should run from the president - Defense minister - service chiefs - GOCs (and their equivalents in the navy and air force) - mid level commanders etc.
