Ibime: Ferreira had 1.5 decent seasons and was absolutely useless for the next 5.5 years.
Ivanovic goes into RB with Azpi pressing for the future (needs European success to compete with Iva).
Fabregas has only had one good season as a regular. Kante might do a Dmitri Payet next season and might start misbehaving. He can't be a legend after 1 season. Hazard has also leapfrogged Robbed easily now due to longevity.

Ibime: Ferreira and Fabregas have no business in this team, nor Kante yet. Kante, if he maintains his form next season, would be on his journey to being a Chelsea legend. I admit that it's a tough call for the midfield considering that the likes of Ballack and Essien (and Mikel ) were absolute workhorses for the team. As for Ferreira, he was decent up until March 2006, when Ronaldinho destroyed him. So, I may concede that Azpi may have the edge over him for now, till Azpi comes up against Ronaldo and/or Messi. |

GenBuhari: Delay is not Presidency's fault, they submitted budget summary in October but NAss rejected causing the later presentation in December 2016. In that case, the law would compel the Presidency to submit a budget estimate to the NASS, and the NASS to pass an Appropriations bill no later than 9 days before the start of a new fiscal year (Jan 1 - December 31). There has to be a level of certainty with regard to government expenditure which also affects the finances of its civil servants. |
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Senate Finally Passes 2017 Budget by PDPGuy: 10:55pm On May 11, 2017 |
There is a clause in the Appropriations bill which provides that the budget shall be implemented for a 12-month period, starting from the day it is signed into law. So, in theory, this 2017 budget would last from May 2017 - May 2018. |
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Senate Finally Passes 2017 Budget by PDPGuy: 4:33pm On May 11, 2017 |
A law that compels the presidency to submit its budget estimates no later than 80 days before the start of the new fiscal year, needs to be enacted
It's bad that civil servants and even govt contractors would be owed salaries and project fees due to late passage of the appropriation bill. |

and as for those BOYS insulting her, I no blame Una, I hope you all married the girls that cooked for you the first time they came to your house or all the ones that have been cooing for you One of the sensible comments here. What was she thinking when she decided to go to a man's house for a first date? That's absolutely wrong. And she even ate the rice he bought with his money - another mistake she made. She should have paid for her own plate of rice. Besides, the man came on too strong. You don't ask someone, whom you just met, to cook for you two AND his friends. It's totally bad manners |

Travel › Re: Why Americans Smile So Much by PDPGuy: 8:49am On May 10, 2017 |
On Reddit forums that ask “What’s a dead giveaway that someone is American?” one trait comes up over and over again: big, toothy grins.
Here’s how one Reddit user in Finland put it:
Last year, I wrote about why some countries seem to smile less than average—and mistrust those who do seem unusually peppy. A country’s level of instability, that study found, might be why people who seem happy for no reason in, say, Russia, are considered foolish.
But there’s an interesting line of research that helps explain outliers on the other end of the spectrum, too: Americans and their stereotypically mega-watt smiles.
It turns out that countries with lots of immigration have historically relied more on nonverbal communication. Thus, people there might smile more.
For a study published in 2015, an international group of researchers looked at the number of “source countries” that have fed into various nations since the year 1500. Places like Canada and the United States are very diverse, with 63 and 83 source countries, respectively, while countries like China and Zimbabwe are fairly homogenous, with just a few nationalities represented in their populations.
Other than causing consternation for tourists, these cultural differences in the value and uses of smiles are also why it can be hard for iconic American companies to expand overseas. As a recent episode of Invisibilia showed, when McDonald’s entered Russia in the ’90s, they had to coach their employees on how to smile. Here’s how Yuri Chekalin, a former McDonald’s employee, described the experience to Invisibilia host Alix Spiegel:
And when Wal-Mart opened stores in Germany, the company also had to tweak its chipper ways to better suit the sober local mores, as The New York Times reported in 2006:
It wasn’t enough, alas: Wal-Mart pulled out of Germany that year after losing hundreds of millions of dollars. There were other cultural differences at play, like Wal-Mart’s failed attempts to get its German employees to relocate. And while the bosses back at Wal-Mart’s Bentonville, Arkansas, headquarters might have been cheerier than their Bavarian counterparts, they weren’t too happy with unions, a staple of the German labor market. (“Bentonville … thought we were communists,” Poschmann, the union secretary, told the Times.)
Like so many other daily practices, in other words, the American smile is a product of our culture. And it can be similarly difficult to export.
