Preshob:Electoral college in US is based on the number of electors from each states and the most populated States in US have the highest share of electors.California has 55 Wyoming has just 3. In Nigeria Kano will be like California and Bayelsa will be like Wyoming Coming down to Nigeria the electoral college will still favour the big states with higher population Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Oyo, andj Rivers because this States currently have the highest number of house of rep members in on Nigeria. I didn't use Senate because all state have 3 each for rep Kano and Lagos, have 24 seats each, Kaduna 16 katsina 15... If we adopt this the north will continue to win without coming to campaign in south sef... But as it is they still know they need one of the southern region. |
Nice one... |
stagger:Tie is 269 apiece na. winner must be 270 to 268. |
oguns222:check USA today on YouTube. |
oguns222:It's 238. |
Yujin:There in lies the power. |
The Hausa Fulani dominance is prehistoric and they still wield that power till today. Trying to rewrite the status quo is like challenging them to a face off. But rather I blame our southern politicians that have graced the center post they will always want to be in the good books of the north because of reelection. At least Obasanjo was Nigeria's president and Chukwuma Soludo as CBN president were they not the ones who approved it in 2005? So we should stop crying foul when we had the opportunity to control things. |

Silent Billionaire A.A Rano... I sight that one. Others......... |
AfroMighty:FUTMINNA ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
MajohBankz:Same person that installed a Pastor as Vice President just like a software. Find another story this won't sell. |
Till this day working for the likes of Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells or Mobil Oil Nigeria like Tinubu did in the 80's will still make you one of the big boys in town. |
Greenbirth:Lagos fire service are proactive to the best of my knowledge. You don't expect them to come out during the protest because we know what the hoodlums can do next. No police to protect the fire service agency from hoodlums too. |
stagger:Democrats are pro black even to the extent of given Obama a chance in order to right their wrongs of the past when they were a pro slave trade party against the blacks. In 2016, 89% of the blacks voted for Hilary Clinton. Both Biden and Obama have criticised Trumps foreign policy. Check your facts again...It took Trump few months after getting to office to trash out Obama's well crafted foreign policy. Democrats and Republicans are greatly divided on foreign policies in America and not united as you claim because the blacks in America are gradually having high voting power it was 29% in the last election the highest ever. |
humilitypays:I don't have issues with the Igbo's because as of now they are already joining NURTW too. But all I am saying is the issues of NURTW is not just starting today under MC like you portrayed in your earlier message. NURTW are not as educated so you would expect them to claim power by force. Even in respected associations the use of force is rife. What about Oyo state NURTW with Auxiliary. It's the same everywhere. Unless you just want to be biased MC has been trying to broker peace amongst NURTW factions in Lagos. He settled Lagos Island case between Bobo and Kunle Poly. This is the same guy they attempted to kill last year. But the moment Lagos Government want to clear them people cry foul without thinking deep. Why did you think Sanwo-Olu banned okadas that's the first step in removing MOAL from the road. Ambode also proposed the removal Danfo from the road. Even the current burning of BRT is influenced by them. Although I have always wanted a stiffer hand on them same way Fashola treated them with tough hands. Even LAHOA wanted to proscribe them last year. and I am in support of them being proscribed until they have sense. |
humilitypays:MC Oluomo is the chairman of NURTW that's present in all state of the federation. MC is not the first chairman of NURTW in Lagos. |
oladipuposadeeq:Oshey NBS! |
Though his speech is an ill thought one. Relationship between the two tribes as being on a downward spiral since 2015 in Lagos. |
LZAA:VAT is not only from the ports.. Go and study how VAT is being derived before quoting me... I will give you a quick example. Do you know how many bottles of soft drinks is being consumed in Lagos a day Now imagine how much VAT those companies will have to pay to produce one bottle. According to your own statement the oil in Nigeria is for everybody I ask why then is the oil producing states getting extra 13.5%![]() |
Lagos in 2019 alone contributed 70% of Nigeria's 5.2tr VAT revenue yet she still has to share it equally with states like Zamfara. I will never forget when the move to grant Lagos 2% of VAT was thrown out under Saraki. Niger Delta states enjoy 13.5% derivation from FG as oil producing states. In sincerity, Lagos it won't be an understatement to say Lagos should enjoy 13.5% of the VAT of which she's the largest contributor of. I pray Yayi forces the bill through. Taking it away will be a blessing in disguise that will enable Sanwo Olu speed up the execution of Lekki sea and airport. Lagos has a masterplan. That seeks not to depend on the FG in nearest years to come. Restructuring is the key. |
OP if na you be LNSC officer you go come out Na neighborhood dem dey guard na.Even olopa dey Japa. You want make LNSC stay. Na Olode wey go school be LNSC ooo. |
AustineJohn908:And those two are independent States or capital of their nation Baba get you facts right. or they have the population of Lagos 18million people is like a whole country mind you. Oshodi-Isolo population alone is more than 6 times bigger than that of Kigali. Stop talking trash. Lagos is a state catering for the indigenes of the 36states of Nigeria combined. I am sure you have family members here and not Windhoek. Una go just dey talk nonsense Lagos and Windhoek. Why not use Abuja to compare them since they are all capitals with heavy investment from the country. |
CheGuevara102:Now you're more liberal in your words. I am only pointing the little they did to at least make Lagos a bit better than other state. But for you they did nothing. I am different I rightly say they are not saints and condemned their corrupt acts. I am not beclouded by hate and I have seen the good bad and ugly aspect of this state. |
CheGuevara102:It's obvious you missed the parts I mentioned they are not saints Or you just want to keep blabbing. Or you think someone who worked for deloitte and Mobil was poor Aregbe you quoted was one of the best performing commissioner of works in Nigeria during his time. His works are all over Lagos till this day. Come to Alimosho I will take you on a tour.I can't keep on discussing with you it's obvious your reasoning is upside down like the dove on RCCG logo. |
CheGuevara102:Oponu Tinubu is an accountant who took Lagos IGR from 500 million in 1999 to 15 billion per month in 2007. Fashola Ambode and now Sanwo Olu are all brilliant men. Or you think Lagos is like Edo were the two candidate of the parties will be dragging who went to school and who didn't. Its obvious you know nothing about the Lagos of before and now. They are of course not saints just like you are not. |
amiskurie:The police station along ifoshi road. |
Will Cross River government contribute ![]() I can't blame her the administration of Lagos is too sophisticated for her type. If she understands what concession means she will know clearly Lekki Toll gate is a necessary devil. Establishment like lekki free trade zone and the peninsula is not entirely government investment it's a PPP project. Eko Atlantic too is through concessionig even proposed 4th mainland bridge is too be funded by government and private. Right from the days of BRF that's how this things are I don't blame her. Forget all the claim of corruption here and there. The governance of Lagos is meant for only brilliant and intelligent people. The best idea a Dr. can think of is a statue. Imagine! |
I have always wondered why they choose ikosi ketu for such an establishment. That place is notorious... But this is no ordinary attack sha. |
It's a well orchestrated something. Highly sophisticated... |
Tinubu is an experienced politician and I won't be surprised if he cedes his ambition for PYO just like he did in 2007 when he opted against contesting for senate like many other Governors of other state do. |
victorazyvictor:If you know how hard it's for a leader to apologize for something not entirely his fault you will know the angle I am commenting from. He could have acted like Buhari and nothing would have happened. How many politicians have you seen apologizing Don't be beclouded by your sentiment the Presidency too as a hand in it. But I can see you have exonerated him of any blame. It's okay. |
ujoatu:Join NANS and see for yourself. |
